((Now I'm really gone))
garin followed Aquaria over and watched her as she worked her magic.

Aquaria pulled enough energy out for her needs and stood up shakily. She grabbed onto Garin's arm to keep herself from falling.

Garin reached out to support her. "Careful, there," he said.

"Thanks," Aquaria said. She walked slowly over to a nearby bench and sat down, holding Garin's hand. Sanvi saw Aquaria sit down and walked down the hill towards them. "She okay?" she asked Garin.

"I think so," Garin replied, sitting next to Aquaria. He rubbed the back of her hand with his thumb.

Sanvi sat at Aquaria's feet, staying to make sure the girl was all right. "If I had had only a little more magic," Aquaria said quietly. "A little...more."

"It's okay, honey," Garin said to Aquaria. He then looked up as he heard a group of people walking in the garden across from them.

Aquaria and Sanvi looked up as Garin did. Sanvi desperately wanted to stand and protect Aquaria, but that would risk revealing what she was. Instead, she sat obediently at Aquaria's feet, playing the role of a servant to her lady. Nobody ever paid any attention to servants, and it would keep the group from looking too ready to fight.

The group walked by them without paying them much mind. Garin looked after them even as they were well off in the distance. He didn't like something about them.

"My lady, did you know who they were?" Sanvi asked politely, keeping up her servant facade just in case. Aquaria caught onto Sanvi's plan quickly. "No," she answered. Then she turned to Garin. "Did you?"

Garin slowly shook his head. "We should go," he said, standing up.

Aquaria stood from the bench and took Garin's arm. This was Sanvi's cue to stand. She stood just behind them, and followed Aquaria at a diagonal, just like a perfect lady's maid. She prayed that her facade had kept her out of their sights, at least.

Garin seemed very tense as he walked with her, away from the other people. Soon they were completely out of sight. He relaxed a small amount.

Sanvi moved forward a bit, dropping her act. "Garin, why did they scare you?" she asked, curious, and a little scared herself.

"I don't know, but I don't like them," Garin replied.
