The mist had mostly cleared only now Suoh could hear the cracking of ice as the ground froze beneath him. He knew the lake was behind him but as a standing body of water it was likely to freeze easy. He focused his chakra into his feet and made a huge jump through the air. He landed several feet above the ground on top of the piece of wall he had flipped up. It had already begun leaning back toward the earth as it began to fall after bouncing off the mirror. Suoh used it as a go between to make one more leap to a tree on the perimeter of the lake. It would take the ice a few more minutes to overtake the tree as opposed to the water laden grass at the edge of the lake.
Suoh could feel the muscles in his feet begin throbbing. They had grown accustomed to the lack of chakra being extended through them because Suoh hadn't had to make such a maneuver in some time.
His distance from the lake combined with his lack of non-water dependent abilities handicapped him. Really the only technique he could use at such a distance was his Whip of Water Technique. He slammed his hand several inches into the trunk of the tree he clung to with his feet. The ice had already reached its base and was freezing its water supply. Pulling his hand out of the splintered trunk he brought with it a long strand of water. Just enough to form a decent whip to attack with. He looked toward the mirror he had already hit once and gave it a quick crack with his whip to see if he could finish it off and prevent his adversary from moving in so close.

((>_> you forgot about the Ice Grass.)) the small spikelike blades of ice would form directly behind Suoh at each stop he made, as he would stop on the lake of ice he would find his feet would hurt more as the blades would attempt to blast through his feet, "Takitsubo No Jutsu" he said as he made a set of handseals. a rush of water would begin to flow from Axel, his next attack would be a bad one if he did try to use a dangerous one, this would soak him and everything around the lake. continuing to make handseals he smiled as he said something walking from the mirror he was in to see the attack, "Lightning Dragon Tornado" he said as he jumped up to the top of the mirror. the giant tornado of electricity whirled through the water that covered the lake, as it moved it kicked water into the air and electrocuted each spot on the water which would cause a horrid shock for Suoh, Axel's cursed seal would show a surprising dominance upon his body as it would be visible on his hands and face.

((I thought it was grass, that is why I jumped onto the side of a tree. I figured it would still be able to freeze up the side of the tree but I would be able to get in at least one move beforehand because trees have a lower percentage of water mass than grass does))
Suoh saw the energized water closing in on all sides of him. He definitely didn't have enough chakra to possibly summon Deity to blow the water away and he didn't have enough time to go through the hand seals to have his chakra dominate Axel's in order to redirect the water and funnel it into a counter attack.
He leapt from the tree but as the water converged on its trunk the sudden build up of energy it caused a small explosion that knocked Suoh off balance in midair. He had planned to use his whip of water he was still focusing on to partially clear the ice grass for a safe space to land but in order to regain his balance he had to give up his focus on the chakra in the whip. He landed on the newly formed tundra in a three point stance. He could feel the ice tear at the bottom of his shoes but a majority of the pain was in his hand that he had used to steady himself as he slid across the frozen ground.
Suoh stood back up and looked at the cuts all over in his palm, "I'm done," he declared. He could feel the freezing chakra already working its way into his bones. His hand was bleeding but completely numbed and his feet felt heavy as the cold crept up toward his knees.

((wow, never found someone who said "i'm done" in a fight)) Axel looked at Suoh surprised as his cursed seal receeded back to the inactive state. "well that was pretty good fight, want me to heal a few of your wounds?" he said as he made a set of handseals and his hand would glow a greenish color. the mirrors behind him cracked and melted, the ice would start to weaken and the tornado would wear out. the water had all gone to the lake, making it seem flooded slightly. he would wait for Suoh to come to him as he held his hand ready to heal any injuries he had received.

Suoh took a step toward him and held out his injured hand but he avoided making eye contact in order to appear disinterested. "I know when to stop before I am really injured. It is mostly just subdermal skin damage," Suoh explained.
"I'm impressed," Suoh exclaimed. I didn't know any other mirror techniques other than Demonic Ice Mirrors existed."
Suoh felt his pockets with his free hand to make sure nothing had fallen out during battle. He hated losing. He would travel by night to one of the villages he had never been to. He had always been successful when he had enough free water for his techniques but this battle made him realize how important it was for him to diversify. That is where he left off. The last technique he had learned was Earth Wall Land Flip which had been his most effective technique in this battle.

Mitsuko walked through the streets of mist with soft steps, not dressed in her alliance clothing for fear of attracting attention. Around every turn there were people waving at her, and this set her heart at ease. Despite not having a hero's welcome, she was still in touch with the people and that was more important then having people sacrifice donkeys to you. A man armed with a kitchen knife snuck up behind her and she elbowed him in the stomache without looking back. The man wheezed and dropped the knife on his own shoes. Sighing a little, Mitsuko completed her rounds and went back to her quiet little cottage to keep her flowers alive.

Drago walked into the village drinking a juice box. He had owed this girl a favor. at least he thought she needed a favor. Over ran by the heartless. Drago sat on in clear range as he sighed slowly.
"Oh Mizu kage..were are you? I have a few questions for you..."
Drago said slowly as he whistled through the village. He looked and he had his sword on his shoulder. He had it drawn so that the villagers knew it was him. No reason to hide who he was. He just had to ask one question. Maybe he would leave without a problem. He looked and he saw the defeated man laying on the ground. Drago bent down and sighed at him.
"You would betray your own leader."
Drago said slowly as he kicked the guy in the face. As he hated traitors. She had given her soul away for this village. This is how he repaid her. Sad. But Honest.

Mitsuko raised her eyebrows as the stranger dealt some more punishment to the kitchen knife wielder. In all honesty he had just tried to cut off someone's purse and steal their belongings, but she guessed that he won't be doing any more of that anytime soon. Mitsuko then turned her attention to this juice-drinking stranger.
"And how pray, sir, did you come to know my position within this village? But I suppose the real question would be..." Mitsuko pursed her lips and pretended to think about it. "Oh yes...what exactly would you like to speak to me about?"
Mitsuko reinforced this question by putting on a solemn face and straightening her posture to match her status. There was a painful popping noise in her joints, indicating that she had forgotten to do stretchign exercises before exerting herself. Her expression turned slightly sour but was still solemn.

Drago looked as he kept drinking his juice. He looked at her for once with a serious face at first as he kept drinking his juice. Drago looked at the once beautiful village. She had so much good energy he just felt it. Her soul not tainted but her views were.
"Why them...Out of all the groups...You sold your soul for them? Why honorable one...what did they promise you? The real question is how can I get some more juice."
Drago said slowly. As he had his hand on his side. Drago looked at her again as he was looking at the ground. He finished his drink and put it in his pocket. Drago looked at her. Still tired but yet and still ready.
"Why did you attack Matsuri of the desert? She sent me a message...I just want to know why."
Drago said again softly.

No need to hide anything...thought Mitsuko as her face grew even more solemn, if possible. It wasn't a difficult question to answer, though the sheer repercussions of her answer may have drastic results.
"Well...I did not exactly sell my soul, but of course you wouldn't believe me so I shall give you the reason. When the conflict between the two factions first started, I knew that I had to join a side. Hidden mist would be otherwise plagued by both sides and resistance would've laid my village to waste. I simply joined the side that asked first. And even now my village remains largely independent and intact."
Mitsuko paused to take a breath and recall a harsh memory.
"the invasion of the heartless was...unexpected, but due to the ally I had in the Hokage, I succeeded in evacuation the entire vulnerable population to hidden leaf until the hostilities were settled. And I attacked Matsuri to appease the alliance so they would get off my back. I did not take a fiendish delight in it like several people I could name...my reason was not to end a war that cannot possibly end. I was a thief for that particular act, but not exactly a murderer, but it's not like it matters to the elites anyways. All my life I've asked myself why I've sold my soul to my village. The answer is simply: why not? If I die here or there, then so be it."

Drago looked at her as he put his arms up slowly. He then looked at her with a slow non caring face.
"Don't get so serious. The Ghost Elites as I have said are dead. You can keep the Alliance all we are trying to do is survive....and What I mean by we are trying to survive is simple...The Tailed Demons are. Or those possessed by one. But You love this village I understand."
Drago said as he started to walk away.
"I had came here to try and kill you. But I have a new respect for you. I don't think that right now would be the best time to do that."
Drago placed his arms on his head. He took his hands off of his blade as he continued to walk. He looked at her one more time behind his mask. As he gave a simple good bye wave.
"Next Time I see you. I will kill you. I promise. No stupid War. But for fun."
He said in a cheerful voice. As he started to run off. Once he start running he turned into a blur.

kill me...thought Mitsuko as she watched the blur fade into the crowded streets of kirigakure. She looked at the heavy mist, the arguing, and retched at the occasional stink of blood, wondering what was it she loved about this village. Perhaps one's soul is bound to the place where she is born and that is where the faith resides, not with one's longing but with one's homeland. Mitsuko thought back about the ghost elites, whom she knew only as a name and not to any depth associated. They were just trying to survive, but even that she cannot guarantee. Once again Mitsuko had the feeling that she would have to separate her conscious with her actions to ensure the well-being of her village. And she once again had the feeling that it would inevitably end with her death.
And with a heavy heart the Mizukage sits alone in grief, wishing she could meet with the one in leaf, and bring back the freedom, the friend, and with him...the past.

Axel looked at the Mizu Kage, "well, that was interesting, one of the sannin just acting silly. i wonder how strong he actually is." he said as he stared at the powerful man walking away. the Mizukage seemed to be looking happy and odd at the same time, 'i wonder what is going on with them...' he thought, looking back at the kage with a smirk. "hello Mitsuko, whats new?" he said with a smile. (11/??)

Glad that somebody actually knew her first name, Mitsuko responded without the weight of kage on her shoulders. "oh...not too much. That guy just dropped in for a chat and promised to kill me the next time he saw me. I was just daydreaming about the past actually...when I had some sort of freedom. Now that I'm some sort of leader I can't quite get away from that." Mitsuko paused for a moment and felt the breeze rush though her hair, causing her to cheer up a bit more. "But if he wants to kill me...he'd have to work hard for it. I can't leave behind so much that I had worked for."

Axel looked at her with a smile, it was shining brightly as he knew what would happen if anything happened to her. "i'm sure that if you end up dead it will be alright, after all, i may be the Mizukage next." he smiled looking into her eyes, holding his hands inside of the hoody he wore it woudn't appear as much, because it seemed like he was thumbwrestling himself. although that was what it would appear he was doing, he could have been doing anything at all, making handseals, thinking with a pose, like Shikomaru. hell he could have been just undoing a wrapper or fiddling with his fingers. if she attacked him it could show that she is paranoid. if she didn't she could end up with a series of deadly senbon in her body at the worst points. it all depends now upon what Mitsuko will do, attack or not, or be killed.
