Tamao
Tamao had just about managed to catch up to Nazuki when suddenly the girl sprawled, crashing to the ground in front of her. She was too close to try leaping over the fallen girl, and her own leg snagged itself on Nazuki's outstretched foot. She began to lose her balance, her arms windmilling wildly as she tried futilely to stay upright. It was no use, however, she crashed down on top of Nazuki, the wind almost knocked out of her. Her head was a little fuzzy from the crash, it'd take her a moment before she managed to catch on to what was happening in the real world. For now, she was pretty well out of it, she wouldn't be getting up to continue the race too soon. (19 of ? )

Nazuki remained face down and stuck up a hand. "I say we call it a tie before we inadvertently kill ourselves..." Then nazuki stood up and was glad that her clothes weren't streaked with mud...thank goodness for grass. That was probably a good workout, eventhough she was panting like crazy and her body is not yet adjusted to all this mad dashing.
The abnormally large damselfly flew in and then perched on a rock on top of the hill, and its wings buzzed slightly as they quivered in the wind. "Well, I guess the bug wins the race...it IS on top of the hill." said Nazuki, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.

Tamao
Tamao had finally managed to sit upright, and looked around wondering where those birds had come from. Shaking her head, she got to her feet. She still felt a little shaky, but not too bad. She could stand, but at the moment that was about it. She agreed with Nazuki, saying that a draw was a good idea, if they kept going, who knows what would happen. Then the damselfly landed on top of the hill. When Nazuki pointed it out, Tamao very nearly fell back on the ground again. The bug had taken the win?! She shook her head again. Not to clear it, but out of a sense of frustration and some amusement. After all that work, some random bug beat both of them. Weren't they shining examples of perfect kunoichi? (20 of ? )

"Well...that was fun, but I feel totally burnt out." said Nazuki as she limped down the old path. Ane then she remembered, Tamao was one of the people from the chunnin exam! One of Nazuki's saviors, apparently. Then a whole bunch of thoughts rushed up into her head and made her a bit dizzy.
"Well...hope to see you again soon..." said Nazuki again hurridly. She just wanted to go home and take a nap now, too many thoughts...

Tamao
Tamao watched as Nazuki almost seemed to grow dizzy for an instant, and got to her feet, to see if she needed help. She seemed alright, though, so she just waved and said good night. She dusted herself off, knocking a few leaves off of her outfit. She felt a little woozy herself, she hadn't stretched or anything before that race. At the least, she'd do some cool-down exercises, so she didn't get a cramp. As she got started, she didn't notice the small group of things that were moving only a handful of yards away. They were as black as the shadows themselves, so it was getting hard to see them, as night was rapidly approaching. But would they see her? (21 of ? )

Nazuki did not notice the creatures, her mind was full and she was quite tired...She clasped her flute loosely in one hand, wondering where exactly she should be going right now. She saw the large funnel in the ground, made by herself of course. So was that the way down the hill? She couldn't even find the way back now?
Nazuki sighed and sat down a bit to think which way she was supposed to go. Then she noticed the leaves rustling around her in a peculiar fashion, but all she could see were shadows. Just to be on the safe side Nazuki callled Tamao to see if they could walk down together.

Tamao
Tamao stopped in mid-stretch as she heard Nazuki call out. That was a good idea, since it was getting dark out it'd be safer for them to walk back to town together. She let her arms fall to her sides and jogged up to Nazuki, stopping next to her. She heard a slight rustling around them, and felt a chill pass through her, although she thought it was just the wind. The shapes were gradually moving closer, not wanting to spook their prey. No, the Heartless weren't completely mindless, when it came to hunting they were reasonably competent. That, combined with their numbers, made them a force to be reckoned with. Even this small group, only a dozen in number, could be a threat. (22 of ? )

Nazuki wasn't talking as she was walking along, but she was carefully casting a technique. Pretty soon small azure flowers would begin growing out of the ground where the creatures were lurking, the pollen from those flowers would put them to sleep by messing with their neuro transmitters. Her gripped tightened on the flute, as if it'll help her against an assault from THOSE things, whatever they were.
"We'll have to work together..." Nazuki whispered to Tamao as they walked at a seemingly leisurely pace. It was too she forgot to bring along her shuriken and kunai that were given to her a couple of days ago. Nazuki silently berated herself for this foolishness.

Tamao
Tamao started walking in time with Nazuki, keeping an eye out for whatever that odd sensation had been from. She still hadn't spotted the Heartless minions, but she caught a small spot of motion out of the corner of her eye several times. She still didn't have a clue what was going on, but when she heard Nazuki tell her they'd have to work together, everything clicked. There were creatures around them, it wasn't just her imagination! She saw the flowers start to bloom, and began to get an idea. But first she'd see just what Nazuki had in mind for them, she didn't want to take away anything from their arsenal. (23 of ? )
She stepped a little bit closer to Nazuki, close enough that she could whisper to her without worrying about anything nearby overhearing her. She asked if Nazuki had any idea what those things were, and why they were here. As well, she told Nazuki that she had a few possible techniques she could use, at the expense of the flowers Nazuki had created. Nano had quite a few techniques dealing with flowers, and she had learned them earlier in her journey. Whether that would be enogh for whatever those things were or not, remained to be seen. But first, she'd wait to see what Nazuki said, the techniques she had in mind would need the flowers as fuel, thereby taking away the flowers from any future use. (24 of ? )

Nazuki explained how the flowers might put the things to sleep, but should they fail, then the flowers would naturally be useless. Nazuki didn't know what techniques Tamao could do with flowers, but it would be interesting to watch for sure. This will almost be entertaining if their lives weren't on the line and if failure did not result in total annhilation...
But if it came down to that, she could always use THAT technique. It will probably drain the remainder of her chi or chakra or whatever and leave her immobile for a while, but it would be better than getting killed. Nazuki sighed and hoped that her new career as a kunoichi will probably be cut short.

Doragon's claws legs buried into the ground of the town center, where most of the pitch black creatures irked their evil. People were at a mess, and Nova could sense his power over the village leaving. In order to gain any order, he would have to signify his arrival. The castle that he had created for himself controlled the highest point within the village. The tall centerpiece watch town with black crystal roof pierced the sky, and the hearts of any one who dared to trespass. Down the sides of the tower were several gray bricks spiraling downwards clockwise, and silver ones nestled slightly off center antral to them.
The light dragon's feet brushed against these bricks as Nova had set off racing against the wall, unaccompanied by the dragon for support, but merely for prevalence. Once his ninja slate boots had touched the point of the tower, he looked down, letting his silhouette cast down below on the village. Surely only his dragon, and crystalline equipment would gleam with brightness of reflection, as it was dark. It had always been dark in the castle's corner, even in the daylight such as now, but the dark creature's spread had casted a shroud of a sort of 'hushed chaos' over the village. All who looked up would be able to see that the Otokage had returned. In the backdrop, Doragon unleashed one of it's charged rays into the sky, making a sort of crashing sound, similar to thunder and the sound of destroyed glaciers.
Quickly, some of the creatures interrupted his dramatic entry, and began to clutch his boots, and climb up his arm. They had caught him by surprise, as his mind had completely been set on his people, and none of his defenses had been properly set. It was a foolish mistake, one he did not make-- ever it seemed. But it had happened, and quickly he was being buried in their dark mass. Only his arm was visible from creeping out, as they began to bite, and maul at his body.
Instinctively, the Shichibi came to his defense, giving him a shroud of flames, but magnificent white ones this time around instead of the ebony from hell he had grown accustomed to. The creatures burned off his body, incinerating into nothing. Nova's wounds quickly healed, but not on his own motives, the flames had sunk into each wound, and slowly the skin revitalized into perfection once more.
From his side, he pulled the second of the Raiga Blades, the one his rarely used. He had given this one the name thunder, and the other lightning, naturally. Using the tree walking ability, his chakra focused to his feet, and created sort of a clutching control with him and the tower, as he leaped of the side, skidding the grieves against the lateral.
Creatures jumped up at him, but Nova fought back with a number of sword parries. One dove for his left ankle, and met the blade's contact through it's thorax. This of course, was done with exaggerated force, as Nova had thought the skin of the beasts to be much tougher to crack due to their rigid motions. The tip of the blade had instilled into the side of the wall, and Nova used it as a stop brace to flip around over the top of it to give him time to draw the other blade. As he did so, another one had buried it's claw into his side, and Nova replied with the opening of his helixes as defense. Almost immediately, a kinetic shock had entered the creature from his body, and then imploded it in midair. The wound patched up with Inyu Shometsu very quickly. Nova realized that he was taking hits rapidly, and found the heading towards the ground would be beneficial. His first blade, Lightning, charged oppositional with Thunder created a magnetic force so he could retrieve the second blade.
Once his feet clapped against the ground, Nova pressed the two blade together in front of himself, creating a sort of friction of lightning between them. The area around him was rapidly heating up, and the let loose the orb of electricity from the blades out forward. As he had predicted the monsters would attack from the posterior, and side directionals, and the lightning's excess bolts would spark off from the ball in a sort of light manipulation back into his blades. The he slammed both into the ground, releasing a circle of lightning tendrils to shield himself from the oncoming creatures.
After the spark show cleared, he was left panting, and he rested where he stood, wondering if he would be able to cleanse the village himself. From his hand, he used his special weapon. The one that had been given to him when he reached the status of Otokage. In his hands was an invisible speaker that called a rally of the shinobi within the Hidden Sound. A lock down battle mode would proceed shortly within it's confines.

Tamao
Tamao nodded as Nazuki told her the flowers could possibly make those things, whatever they were, fall asleep. That was good, if it worked then they wouldn't have to fight. If not, then she'd use the flowers for one of her own techniques. She didn't think they had the time to go into too much detail, so she just said that if the flowers weren't working, get some distance from them. She didn't know which of her techniques would work best, but then again she didn't really know just what they were up against. That didn't last long, however. A combination of slightly raised visibility from the soft glow of the flowers, and a slight increase in the Heartless minions' audacity, caused them to move forward, forward enough to be seen. Akuma rode the winds his cloak flapping about him. "Your going to pay you bastards. My village gone, you bastards covering the rubble and my heroes dead! Your definitely gonna pay. I swear by these blades on my back that your gonna die!" Suddenly Akuma's blue coat was off fluttering earthward. He had drawn 1 of the mist 7 swordsman blades, this one a pair of huge scimitars. There weight was unfamiliar, but the grips felt made for him, he was versed in many battle styles and would be able to wield them with deadly power. He soared right at the leader heartless over sound, Akuma was actually flying upside down his blades extended downward to slice through the lead heartless. 14/30
