Faye shrugged. "That too. I find I have to get out at least every couple of days to clear my head of all the immaturity around me, oherwise I start to go a little bonkers. I love all my family, they're wonderful... but they are family after all and family is designed to drive you nuts. Or at least that's what my mother tells me."

Faye smiled and ducked her head, finding herself becoming a bit shy as she opened up. She'd never really talked with anyone before, much less about her family and her feelings. "My family tends to be a bit blunt about things. I'm not sure if it's a good thing or not..."

"Both, I suppose." Megan smiled, finishing off the scarf, beginning to attach some fringes to the ends. "Unles you're bringing a boy home and someone outright says '...I don't like him.'" Megan laughed a little.

Faye shrugged, "I don't see how that would be a problem for me. I barely have friends so I can't see myself bringing anyone home anytime soon. And I've inherited a lot from my parents so I know when I do find someone then they'll be right for me. And the only one I can see outright saying 'I don't like him' are my father and my two brothers, and they're just overprotective so it's understandable."

"Barely have friends?" Megan blinked at her as she held up her scarf to look at it. "I suppose that can bea good and a bad thing. And I suppose you're lucky on that part." She smiled. "Not the not many friends, but knowing that someone's rigt for you."

Faye just shrugged. "Well I don't know. Since I've never had many friends it's not like I can get lonely and miss what I don't have since I've never had that much right? At least that's how I feel. And knowing someone's right, well everyone has that to a degree, it's just if you listen to your gut or listen to your heart. Cause there can be times when you think you love someone but you know that they're wrong for you all at the same time."

"In any case... how late do you plan on staying out here? The pathways can get kind of scary at night, especially for human girls." Faye asked seriously, her red eyes seeming to glow for a moment. "If you don't mind, I'd like to stay and walk you home when you're done clearing your head and ready to go back to your family."

"Human..." Megan blinked a few times. "You're not human, are you?" She shook her head, beginning to organize her bag. "Why doesn't that surprise me? It seems there are few entirely...normal? Not sure if that's quite the right word. In this place." She looked up a moment. "No, normal is the right word at all, because every's definition is the same." Her mouth twitched into a smile and she began to fold the scarf around her hand. "Guess my siblings and I are just out of luck, to be so 'normal'." She paused, looking over at Faye. "And what about you?"

Faye let a small smile twitch her lips. "I'm normal. For what I am."
Noticing that she was putting away the scarf, the pale girl wriggled her toes out of the sand and started to dust it off her skin, not wanting any of the grains to go in her boots when she put them on. She reached to the side and plucked the black monstrosities off the ground beside her and straightened the tongue in them so she could put hem on without having to do too much re-adjustements once they were actually on.
"Is it okay then? That I walk you home? Act as you... 'watch dog'." Faye's smile broadened and she giggled softly.

"Which is what, exactly?" Megan asked as she stood up, balencing the scarf on the top of her head as she picked up her bag. "And I suppose, as long as you don't chase my cat." Megan said with a little smile of her own, brushing one of her curls back over her shoulder into it's proper place.

"Domestic animals don't tend to like me. They normally end up hiding under a couch as soon as I step into a room." Faye admitted with a blush, standing up and opening her parasol once more. She twirled it over her shoulder to get any stray sand off it, careful not to spray any of it in Megan's direction. "And as for 'exactly' what I am... well I suppose you could call me a 'Mutt'."
Well that was a nice way of putting it without mentioning her mixed up screwed up blood lines ^_^;
"Do I need to tell you more to make you more comfortable?" Faye asked in concern.

Megan bent down and picked up her blanket, shaking some sand off before folding it loosely and tucking it under her arm. She smileda little more. "Mutts are the best." Was all she said, then took a step away from the water. "And it doesn't matter to me, as long sa you don't plan on luring me into a dark alley and killing me dead."
