Children Of The Flame

Gion chuckled silently at Lore. I have to say that it's completely out of the ordinary, there's never been anything like that in this world before. Your world is completely different from ours, despite the similarities that I've been told about.

He was amused at how confused the man looked, though.

Seeker giggled. "Your voice sounds funny, too, it sounds stronger when I talk to you in the sword."

She was looking over Daemon, to see if there were any other differences between the image him and the mind him.

Lore thought about it, now that he thought about it, from what little he knew about Elnara's world, he could see that. The races, the languages, the people, what existed and what didn't.

"Yes, I can see that, but even this... this is odd, but I, don't dabble in that sort of magic."

More like he couldn't, besides it was spiritual magic, so at least he was comforted to know that not many people could that.

"So even for this is a bit strange."

Daemon the Sword

Daemon tried to think of a good reason for that, but there was so much about his situtation that was new to him, he couldn't really think of anything that was based on books. So he shrugged and replied back.

"Maybe because I'm out of the sword, I'm not really here, or..." he looked down at himself, "All here."

Gion nodded. Strange really isn't the best word for it, he reiterated. It's completely unheard of. In all honestly, Elnara and Mother are the only ones who have anything remotely related to transfiguration of any sort ... and of course we all know how they're received.

Seeker giggled at Daemon, then reached across the table and passed her hand back and forth through his arm a few times. "This is so weird," she laughed. Her eyes sparkled as she looked at the man. "Could you always do this?" she asked him eagerly. "What's it feel like?"

"Ah... yea...." Lore agreed now that Gion had put it in those terms.

Daemon probably had to be quite careful he was capable of talking to people, exactly who he talked with. Which was quite sad, but he was sure it would have happened back home too unless there was a priest, spiritualist.. whatever that knew better.

"Though I think Seeker is very... interested."

"Well.. no," Daemon replied back, "Nothing like this no, this is completely new to me."

Though he had to admit seeing her hand go through his arm was quite disconcerning. No wonder why some spirits didn't know they were gone! Or were tramuized, this would frightened anyone who was use to being solid, especially when they didn't like go through the floor or chair or whatnot.

"It just feels strange."

Gion chuckled silently. Seeker's always liked talking with Daemon, even when she couldn't see him, he explained to Lore. One of the reasons she took the name Seeker was because she was always looking for something more, something she hadn't tried before, something she didn't know, somewhere she hadn't been. It's not only her Sight.

Seeker grinned. "Yeah, it's really weird," she agreed. She pulled her hand back and folded her hands on the table in front of her. "Do you feel the chair you're sitting on? Can you put your hand through the table, too? Would you fall through the chair or are you actually sitting on it?"

"So in short," Lore smiled softly watching the two, "She has an adventerous spirit."

It least it seemed that way, even though it could be just her youth speaking at the moment. Still, in the present that is what Lore thought of watching the two. Well that and she asked as many questions as Idhril once had.

Daemon blinked, he hadn't gotten that many questions since Seeker first began talking to him. Only before it was along the lines of, what was it like to be stuck in a sword. In that case and in this one, he really couldn't come up with a good answer for that.

"Not.. really, but I do think I'm sitting on the chair."

At least he thought so.

Gion grinned and nodded. That is definitely true, he agreed, watching Seeker and Daemon.

Seeker giggled. "I want to see!" she exclaimed, and she disappeared under the table. She crawled across to the chair Daemon was 'sitting' on and tried to tug on his foot - but of course she got nothing but air.

Gion's expression grew thoughtful as he watched his daughter play around with Daemon, and he turned to Lore once again.

So ... what are Elnara's children like? he asked curiously.

"That's.... a big answer," Lore chuckled thinking about it, "They're so many and so different. Celebor is very active... he likes to do things is pretty much sums it up."

Kind of like Seeker he mused, only Celebor was in the here and now, no waiting, as if life was going to run away on him.

"Serenity is the artist, and she's quiet, calm... shy," he added as an after thought, "She's not as shy as she once was, but she's still is wary of strangers. Skye is the opposite even though she can't hear, there's little she's afraid of and always askes for names and who people are... you can't tell she can't hear though. She has a very sensitive sense of touch, which makes up for it... for the most part."

Those were the first three, and he could remember them, but he couldn't forget the last four neither.

"Then there are the twins, Storm and Starr. Magically gifted they're very eager to learn, well.. it's how they view the world. They see magic in threads, so it's kind of tempting for them to touch. Storm is logical, well both are, but Storm is to the point where he could possibily nearly argue himself out of trouble. Starr is almost like her brother's keeper, almost but she does go along with his adventures."

So many children.... Lore couldn't help but chuckle.

"Wow... let's see Idhril was the youngest until Silvrendir, she questions a lot. Kind of like Seeker, it's generally hard questions, but she's a curious one, and helpful. She likes to be helpful," he made him grin remember the whole sugar thing, "And Silvrendir is now the youngest. He is quiet in a different way from Serenity. He isn't shy perse, he's just... a quiet boy."

Daemon sat back and peered under the table to see what Seeker was doing. Since he couldn't really 'feel' perse what she was doing to him under there. As far as he could tell he was sitting on the chair, but he wasn't feeling the usual pressure when a person sat on a chair.

"What do you see?"

Nadya nodded at Lore. "Quiet like Galdor," she suggested as a comparison for the man to use. "Speaks well, but chooses to remain silent most of the time."

Though she had to admit, Galdor had his moments ... he could be quite loud when he wanted to be.

Seeker grinned at Daemon. "I see right through your legs, just like the rest of you!" she told him gleefully. "I can grab the chair right through you!"

She wanted to know if he was really sitting on the chair, though, and in her eyes there was only one way for her to find out. She reached through his legs and pushed the chair away from the table.

"Hmm..." Lore thought for a moment, that was more or less the case, "Yes, I think so. That would probably the best way I can describe Silvrendir."

He nodded for a moment, since that was all the childrne in a nutshell, more or less. Lore would admit there was so much more to them than that, their quirks, their likes and dislikes. But it could fill a large book.

"That is, so far all of the children."

The chair of course weighed very little, since Daemon didn't technically have a weight. Seeing as he wasn't at all there at the current moment. Still, the action caught him off guard and he nearly fell through the chair, but was able to stay on. Sitting, somehow solidly on the chair as he moved forward to keep himself from falling off.

"Eep!"
