Danny spits in his hand and wipes his hand on his eyes...having cleared away a lot of the dried blood, he can make out everyone by their outline...he sees someone he doesn't recognize and assumes he is the attacker...
Danny starts building up a good punch...

When the enemy leaves, Danny falls back down to his butt...he is happy that he can at least see a little, but he is still in an overwhelming amount of pain...
