Shadow nodded, it seemed that Maxine would need to get use to this sort of thing and too Shadow it seemed like it would take alot of time for her to get use to it but They had all the time in the world now. Shadow picked up the body. "Come on, let us leave and dispose of this." he said as he started heading for the forest.

Maxine nodded and fallowed behind trying to get used to the smell of things being stronger and she would have to also get used to many of the other things as well.

After walking for soem time Shadow had lead Maxine to what looked like a very large pile of bones and rotting corpses. He dumped the body at the edge of the pile and turned away, obviously unphased by any of it. "Did you enjoy your first feed from the living?"

Maxine's mind was on something else. She sighed and looked up to him, "What...sorry. Ummm, I believe I did, yes."

"Good," Shadow said as he started walking to the edge of the forest. "Something bothering you? You seem a little distant." He said as he walked through the familiar area's of the forest. Some areas that brough back both good and bad memories.

Maxine sighed, "No, I'm fine. Nothing is bothering me."
She was lying and she knew it. She knew that he probably already knew, too. She was glad she was turned otherwise she would have died. But she couldn't help but think if she survived without Shadow's help, how would her life be now? She had many other things going through her mind as well.

Shadow laughed slightly, "If you do not wish to talk about it just say so. There is no need to lie to me but it might be better if you got all the things bothering you off your chest and into the open. Trust me, Ihave sired a fair few in my time."

Maxine shook her head, "I just have too much on my mind. I can't clear it. I wonder about so many things like what it would be like if I survived without your help what would happen then? And many other questions. Its hard to explain."

Freak Parade Claire laughed a little. "Long story," she replied. "My name's Claire Pelletier, by the way." Ottila let go of her friend and introduced herself as well. "My name is Ottila Hahne. Don't call me Tilly, only Claire's allowed to do that." "well ok then Ottila. nice to meet both of you i am Dax Faye. i heard about this place and heard it was safe for things like me so i came here." he smiled and his white eyes glowed in the shadows.

Shadow nodded as they got closer to the mansion. "Those questions flow through the minds of the sired all the time at first. In time they will fade and disapear, like all things do. Just be patient and if you have questions that need to be asked then ask them."

She had asked out of curiosity and cause those were the first to questions that popped in her mind.

"Yes, we can love and have children. I have several children and have had a few mates in my time." Shadow said followed by a sigh. It had been a while since he had seen most of his children and even longer since he had seen the mother of his first two. Not that it bothered him too much, they did leave on difficult ground.

Shadow let out a heavy sigh, "Well, something came between us and then she just... disapeared with the kids, that is the short version. The lng version is a very, very long story. That was me second mate though, my most recent one has just... disapeared wthout a trace... again."
