Mercury walked in and with a slight smile, he liked making people laugh, because he could not. he enjoyed to listen while others spoke. the closest he could get to talking was always writing, but he could never keep up with others in a conversation with writing. so he tended to express himself through motions. as he walked through the gate he tipped his hat to the gate keepers, and continued on. within a short time he made it to a field that was very empty. he strolled around it and to anyone he saw he would walk over and preform a show for them. his shows were hysterical and in the end he would take his bow and hold his hat out for a bit of loose change from anyone who would give. he was proud of his abilities to preform silent arts. he was also sad that he couldn't preform anything with sound. as he wandered around and eventually ran out of potential people to preform for he sat under a tree and relaxed until he could find a new person to please.

 ~Beware the dragon, lest your flame become too attractive...~-"Draco Silverlight"-  Draco walked through the field of fresh green grass, surrounded by large lush green trees. ...He could see why it was called the hidden leaf... so many trees... It wasn't a bad thing by any means though.. the trees were definitely a bonus to the Hidden Leaf's defense, providing cover.. and an excellent base of operations for the cloaked Ninja. He glanced up in a semi sort of awe and admiration as he approached the gates, taking in the sight of the legendary Village. Smiling at the guards as he passed by he got through without any trouble... he wasn't a threatening figure in the least.. and it seemed like there had been many travelers coming and going through the gates today. After passing through, he made his way through some buildings, and spotted a field through some of them.. he walked that direction and soon found himself looking out over the green field full of life and seeming happiness. The Hidden Leaf had always kept its spirits, though... it seemed as if most of the people here were broken... As he walked through the field he spotted a rather... odd looking individual perched under a tree, looking as if he were cooling himself. The guy looked friendly enough at first glance, so Draco waved to him, "hello there... are you one of the Shinobi of the Leaf?" He was just going to ask him if there was a place to eat and stay at here, that he knew about... also if he could get any information... It seemed there was nothing out of the ordinary here though... Draco plopped himself down on the ground looking the guy up and down... yes.. there was definitely something different about this guy... he just... couldn't quite place his finger on it exactly. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~Spread your wings, and test the darkness...~((300 exactly. Mercury looked at the approaching person. he didn't quite know what he should do, so he shook his head left and right in a disappointed way, then pointed to his fedora, it had his village's symbol on it. the symbol was of a clown (or whatever hidden clowns symbol is.) Mercury thought that he would have been easy to identify as an outsider due to his mime makeup, and being in black and white, with only the color of a red tie hanging from his neck. He stood up and began to preform for this ninja who had shown up. he began his performance with an invisible wall, and moved into a box, and finally found the door, once he got the door open he found a rope tied to the doorknob. he began pulling on it and soon had an anvil in hand. this was all an invisible act though so when he got to his closer. he tossed the rope around a branch above himself and hoisted the invisible anvil up. and sure enough what went up came back down and on top of his head. Mercury was now lying on the ground playing dead, and all of a sudden he popped back up and took a bow. he then turned back and sat at the base of the tree, awaiting his new audience's word.

~Beware the dragon, lest your flame become too attractive...~-"Draco Silverlight"- Draco glanced curiously as the man shook his head pointing to his fedora... "...what..? ...Oh..." The fedora was 'definitely' not hidden leaf.. that was for sure... it was some sort of symbol that he did not recognize though. ...Thats interesting.. a village I dont know about?He also found it queer, to say the least, the way that the guy dressed... in black and white, with a ridiculous large red bowtie... it was somehow amusing though.. He couldn't help but smile at just the appearance. Draco found it just a little weird when the guy stood up though and began moving about strangely, he slid back a few paces. "..what the..." he watched for a moment, concern rising for the guy's well being. "...hey, are you alright?" He stood moving about in a small circle around the man and watching... it seemed as if the guy were in a world of his own now... fighting off some sort of .... thing? He seemed as if he were lugging about something heavy or something.... ...Genjutsu... Draco's eyes widened... he must be under a powerful distance type genjutsu! Someone has locked this guy into a world of his own or something... Draco glanced about nervously, seeing if the caster was anyone nearby... no one seemed to be paying any attention what so ever... ...Then the guy fell to the ground... dead. Draco stood stunned, simply looking down in a sort of shock at the guy... he glanced about once more, to see if anyone thought 'he' had done the killing.. no one seemed to notice.. ..thats just a little strange...Then the guy stood up with a smile, and took a bow. Draco stood stunned for a split second, then a big smile forming. "...awesome! ...you moved like that on purpose?!" he had never seen a clown before.. or a mime for that matter, and he found this highly entertaining. "...hey, thats pretty cool... did you use a technique for that, or is it just.. you..?" ....Then he noticed that he had been... talking to himself? ....."..um.. hullo?" his head tilted to the side, noticing that the guy had performed the entire act in utter silence... it was unnatural... maybe he was mute? That was the only idea he could think of ...being mute was not unheard of... at any rate he was a good performer! "...hey, I'm Draco." the boy extended his hand with a smile... then wondered if the other guy would even be able to introduce himself... perhaps the should find something to write with...? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~Spread your wings, and test the darkness...~((425 words, Genjutsu release unlocked +25 left over.))

Mercury listened to the boy speak as he introduced himself as Draco, Mercury in turn reached into his suit jacket and pulled from it a card. it seemed to be a business card. Mercury handed it over to Draco and upon the card it read "Mercury Maimu Professional Mime, Figure out what I say by actions, I don't speak." along with the words there was also a picture of a clown laughing on it. he started to bow again as an introduction move. he didn't want to make a bad impression, although he couldn't make much of one without words anyway.

~Beware the dragon, lest your flame become too attractive...~-"Draco Silverlight"- Draco glanced down at the card, reaching forward to take it with one gloved hand and reading it carefully, his eyes scanned it. ...it had an interesting looking picture of what seemed to be an insane person on the front... laughing.. Draco smiled slightly, wondering if the guy was trying to tell him that he was insane. "...Mercury Maimu huh?" he glanced back up at the man after finishing reading the card. He glanced back down to the card momentarily, a pondering expression taking over his features... he wanted to make sure he had this right... "...so... your a professional mime?" he asked... not having the slightest clue what one of those were... did that mean that the guy was like... a crazy person... but professionally? He shook his head, not knowing how exactly 'that' would work... probably something like what stood before him now actually, he reflected... ah, it was probably his job to make people laugh! ...or to lighten up at least... that would be a good job.. well, not in the Hidden Void, but... Draco reflected that the man would quickly be out of business in the Hidden Void, where everyone was completely serious all of the time in the dark.. and no one even knew what a 'clown' was... It was a good thing to make people happier though... well... 'some' people at least. "...I'm sorry, Ive never known what a mime was.. I guess this is what you do?" he motioned to Mercury's attire with a nod, smiling. "..Hey thats pretty cool... and your mute?" he shrugged... that was fine with him.. actually some people who talked too much actually got on his nerves.. talking with someone who 'did not' talk back was pretty cool. "...Well, since we are introducing..." Draco pulled down the front of his cloak, revealing his own Ninja band, with the Hidden Void mark etched on it, hanging about his neck, but hidden until now under his collar. "...I am Draco Silverlight, of the hidden Void." he smiled, "you guys got any good places to eat, or stay around here?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~Spread your wings, and test the darkness...~[349 wrds.]

Mercury looked over with a smile and as he did so he opened his mouth as if to say yes, but then instantly closed it and shook his head back and forth. he didn't know of a single place in this village besides this field which appears to be a park of some sort. he gestured then to look about for a place to eat, or anything of the sort. so he started walking on and if his new friend wanted to help look for one he would probably follow or take the lead if he wanted. as long as they could Mercury thought that would be a good place to do whatever, especially since he hadn't eaten anything for half a day and doing his shows was partly exhausting. he wanted to get some food with the spare change that he had obtained performing for everyone he saw.

~Beware the dragon, lest your flame become too attractive...~-"Draco Silverlight"- Draco watched as Mercury began walking off, seemingly with the same interests in mind... food.. sleep... Good stuff. He shrugged, glancing down at the business card once more in his hand, before sticking it into one of the pouches on his belt. Draco reached down, re-adjusting his cloak once more to keep his front hidden, and his band underneath it. He padded off quickly through the grass after Mercury. Soon they arrived in one of the more main parts of the Village and Draco glanced up and around at the many buildings... thinking about how different a village fully exposed to the light of the sun was from the Hidden Void.. They were both beautiful in their own regard.. the green luminescent glow of the lanterns in the void, versus the natural light of the sun. Noticing a large building marked 'the hidden inn' by an oaken sign hanging above the door, Draco smirked. ...hidden inn indeed... it had only taken them a whole thirty minutes of walking through the streets to find it.. He had been following Mercury this time... hoping that the Mime had a better idea of the Village than he did... but maybe not after all then. Draco stepped forward, touching Mercury on the shoulder to point out the sign of the inn, motioning that they should go there. He surprised himself by not even speaking... just being around the mime made him feel as if he should be silent himself.. after all, no need to speak anyways.. He smiled, "..That looks like a good enough place to stay for now.." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~Spread your wings, and test the darkness...~[265]

Mercury shrugged, the building looked fine enough to go to and it didn't seem to be that bad looking of a place. he walked inside and waited for his new companion to enter as well. after all if he wanted to get anything done he would need someone to give him a hand, or more specifically a voice.

~Beware the dragon, lest your flame become too attractive...~-"Draco Silverlight"- Draco nodded, pushing through the door and walking in ahead of the mime somewhat. ....ahh... food... the delicious aroma hit him immediately once more. No matter how many times he traveled to a new village, the food was always the top. There were a couple of tables downstairs, spread over the empty floor, and the room where the cook would come from. A soft smoke drifted about the room, along with the aroma... peaking every visitor's appetite to the tasty food awaiting. A stairwell reached along the far wall of the room, leading to the upper level's where the room's for guests would be located. Draco nodded, turning with a grin to Mercury, then heading for a table. He lifted his dark cloak off, and placed his weapons down beside him as he sat, the katana from his back, and his many kunai from his belt. Underneath his cloak they were concealed well enough. After a moment, he glanced back at Mercury, "...so how come your in the hidden leaf now, if this is not your village?" He shrugged, remembering that Mercury could not speak, and the motion dispelling the question from him having to answer if he did not wish to. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~Spread your wings, and test the darkness...~[202 words]

Mercury began doing gestures with his hands to show what he was doing there. in the end it seemed like he was saying either he was there to perform for pay, or he was there to put stuff in his hat while he lifted buildings. hopefully Draco could identify the words hidden in his actions well. he then picked up a menu and began reading. then he pointed at the pancakes. hopefully Draco would help him get what he wanted and not something else.

His eyes bobbed with the guy's motions and despite the fact that they seemed to be a mere jumble of movements... in a weird way, it was as if he understood exactly what Mercury was meaning to say... almost even better than if they guy had actually 'said' it. "...Wow, thats awesome.. so you make money by.. entertaining people.." he smiled, that seemed like an excellent job. "...your pretty good at it, so I bet someday you'll be the most famous mime ever!" Draco nodded sincerely with a grin. "..Hmm..." he leaned over the menu for a moment, at first thinking that he was going to go for a sandwich... but when Mercury caught his attention, pointing out the pancakes, Draco quickly changed his mind. "...Two for pancakes then?" he nodded, assured that was what Mercury wanted. The waiter came over, and he ordered the food, asking for iced tea on the side with his, and then also whatever Mercury wanted to drink. Draco paid the waiter, waving Mercury off quickly with a grin, "..no, no, you 'did' perform for me after all! ...least I can do is get you lunch." A few of the patrons in the place were beginning to stare at him, because it seemed as if he were just talking to himself. Draco found this amusingly ironic, because it was more like he was beginning to anticipate what the mime would say, through even the slightest motions of Mercury... and responding accordingly, no words being needed on the mime's part. "...So how old are you Mercury?" Draco asked, seeing that the guy did not look too much older than himself at least. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~Spread your wings, and test the darkness...~[291 words]

Mercury smirked, his makeup making it more apparent. If he wanted to tell him easily he could have just counted it out on his hands, but it was more fun for him to stand up and first form the shape of a 1 his hand hanging down and his feet pointing outward. and next he formed the shape of an 8 balancing himself astutely on his toes. once he had finished he sat back down and waited for his companions next question.

After finishing his meal with the mime, Draco stood up, bowing respectfully to Mercury.
...he had been challenged.
Draco stepped back into the sunlight of the hidden leaf, glancing about for the issuer.
"..well.. this should be interesting."
