I did the same thing with Warui Yukai. He couldn't use jutsu biggrin

I initially designed Shun to be completely reliant on fighting with a team, but that totally changed when he was "gifted" the Nanosaizu no Dokumishi. It's way more special to watch your character take shape than to have everything laid out for them. whee
I wouldn't be able to freak Seika out by talking about ripping off faces! gonk

Yes! I very much agree with that. I feel its better to shape characters based upon their experiences. I have a rough idea for my character but whether that idea is nutured or challanged depends on the interactions of others around her or how certain things transpire and evolve around her.
