"Human blood is more revitalising for us than any other kind. It can quickly build up any strength we loose. That and it tastes nice, trust me when I say you do not want to drink anything else." Shadow said, as he spoke those last words the taste of the animal blood came back into his mouth. A taste that he quickly got rid of with another sip from his glass. "So, how do you find it?"

Shadow smiled, "I'm glad you enjoy it." Shadow said as he downed the rest of his glass. It sent a slight shiver down his spine as he did so. "Why do you watch me so intently?" he asked, feeling her eyes on him. He didn't mind it but he was curious.

"I..." Maxine flushed a little and looked to the table, "I am not sure. I just am trying to read your face, its hard to read. Also...I like to observe those around me."

Shadow laughed lightly and refilled his glass. "It can be difficult to read the face of someone who is technicaly dead, even then I have been told that I am a difficult one to read on ocasion." He said as he drank. He then turned his gaze to Maxine, examinign her glass and her general body lanuage. "You don't need to look at the table you know. Observe all you want, no one will complain."

"There is no need to thank me. It is something I should have done much sooner. I apologise to you for leaving it for so long." Shadow said with a smile. He sipped his drink as he kept his gaze fixed on Maxine. "You know, you tasted very nice." he said, realsing only shortly afterwards that it probably wasn't the best thing to say.

Maxine was sipping when he said this. She ended up laughing a little bit ending up spilling a small bit of the blood on the table, "Ummm...wow. I haven't heard that one before. But...thanks?"
She sat her glass down and took a napkin from the anpkin holder and cleaned the table the best she could no realizing she had a little blood on her lips.

Shadow shook his head at his own stupidity. He had spent far too much time around older vampires that he was forgetting himself, none of the younger generations really wanted to know those sorts of details, atleats none that he had met recently. "It was a compliment, a very high one comming from me." he said as he noticed soemthing on her lips. "Erm.. you have little something there." Shadow roughly pointed at her lips.

"A slight word of warning... you might also a straneg craving to feed of a living being from time to time." Shadow said out of the blue. It was something that had to be said though, also Shadow could sure the company on the very few nights he went out to hunt. "That is something I will need to teach you sometime, how to hunt properly. That is if you have the stomach for it."

Maxine shrugged, "It wouldn't hurt to try."
She sipped the last from her glass and she still surprisingly wanted more. She stood slolwy and stretched a little bit just cause she felt like it.

Shadow smiled, it was getting rare for the ones he sired to want to try and hunt especialy when there was an ample supply of blood within the manor. "If you need more just ask for it, the servants will deliver it quickly." Shadow said as he finished his drink. "Or we could try and hunt a little. It might just be better if you walked around, you still need to get use to your body and work out the rigor."

Maxine smiled, "Hunting might be fun..."
She licked her lips again and took a step slowly towards him to see if she could walk on her own yet. She was a bit shaky. After taking her first step it was ok, but then taking her second step she lost balance and fell towards Shadow.

Shadow quickly got out of his chair and caught Maxine before she could fall any further. "Maybe hunting is a bad idea..." he said as he held her and tried to steady her. It looked like the hunting would have to wait for now but it was for the best.
