That actually sounds more like Bleach to me, Greed, and its training sequences are basically all the same: Ichigo gets his a** kicked until he realizes what he's fighting for, and then ******** 0wns.

Ippo is also, for all intents and purposes, the same thing over and over again--Ippo trains, then fights, then trains again and fixes some of his weaknesses, then fights again, and rinse and repeat for 76+ volumes. However, like I said, it never gets boring--the training sequences and the fights themselves are all incredibly deep and intelligent (which was Naruto's saving grace for a while), drawing everything out of the characters involved.

@Whoever: Deity's read pretty much all the Naruto available (to his knowledge), and is impressed thus far...even if it may be repetitive, he adores the art style and fight scenes a great deal... =O

Kishimoto Masashi is a friggin' artistic genius. Not quite in the vein of Oda Eiichiro, but pretty damn close--the man does crazy-a** fishbowl perspective like it's nobody's business. xd

or, if they're my favorite character, they simply take a kunai between their gums/teeth (can't really tell) and slaughter a hundred thugs and a crime-boss without the use of arms or legs or anything but said kunai...

My favorite character has had only one real fight--and he hit the guy so many times (and so hard) that he lit his a** on fire--this is after pulling out nunchaku randomly, too. xd

Unfortunately, the unwilling recipient was just a body double. Not a bunshin, just some dude made to look like him. xp

@Mooo: Deity just loves the whole thing.... =w= ...the movement is very well done, too. Gai's great, but...Deity's fave has gotta go to Gaara... < <;;

Yeah, Gai's my all-time favorite, with Naruto coming in a close second 'cause he actually EARNED it. xd

I still love how Hinata got the boobs. Sakura's still stuck with her A-cups, and Hinata ends up with these giant bra-fruits that much like Tsunade's should really get in the way of hand-to-hand combat. xd
