Ohhhh that is a bit scary! People always used to say that dolls could move in the night so one time I did a test and I put my dolls in an interlocking complicated pile where if they moved in the slightest then it would all come crashing down (I was about 10 XD) and when I woke up the next morning they were still in the same position... it pretty much convinced me they were not alive (or they had like epic memory and acrobatic skills). As for torturing... I used to give them haircuts. It often turned out pretty barbaric so I guess the style police will hunt me down if they ever find one XD
Basically... I think you’re pretty safe XD

I had phobia on dolls. :3
Funny thing though that once I decided to watch the Scream Awards with the lights off to try and get myself to get immune to some forms of horror. :3
Didn't work much really, but I realized then that the doll I feared most was sitting next to me. It really wasn't in our house back then since it was given to my cousin.
Edit: In short, that gave some shock to me since I wouldn't have expected it. :3
