Mike continued his flurry of blows on Felsic's hands, he sweat began to run down his face and upper body. As for the Typhlosion, he was taking the hits with a smile, feeding off of the energy his trainer was putting out. Finally the boy stopped, catching his breath, all that screaming and punching really took it out of him. He looked around, a few passing people eyed him with peculiar looks. "What?" He asked, placing his hands on his hips. "Can't a guy train with his Pokemon and relax a bit?" When no answer was heard, Mike rolled his eyes and snorted.
"Whatever." The trainer mumbled, cracking his knuckles, something on his gloves catching his interest. "Hm?" He mused, looking closer. There was a dial. Upon further examination, a new selection was added aside from the usual 'Fire' and 'Smoke' options. "Punch, eh?" Mike read with interest, clicking the wheel to the new feature. As he pressed the button normally used for the Flamethrower and Smokescreen function, a devious smirk presented itself when his hands burst into flames. The boy examined his flaming appendages, they felt fine, his mother really did a great job proofing the gloves so his hands didn't burn. "Guess that's what you get when your mom invented for the army." Felsic eyed the new ability with a sort of brotherly admiration, and raised his palms for another attack.
"Fire...." Rearing back his fist, Mike thrust forward, a beautiful ribbon of flame and smoke trailed as his hand flew forward and connected with double force with the Volcano Pokemon's hand. "PUNCH!" He felt the force rush through his arm as his punch hit Felsic in the paw. The Typhlosion recoiled his hand. Despite his natural affinity to flames, the increased force of the blow, combined with nearly a half an hour of his hands being stuck in a constant manner caused him to need a bit of a rest. "Woah!" Mike exclaimed, looking at his hands as if he didn't believe such a heavy hit could come from his small frame. "Neat!" He chirped, looking over at his Pokemon. "Alright buddy, I've hit you enough, so now it's time for your turn. You get one clean shot." He stood up, visibly tired and covered in dirt. "Come on, it's only fair. But you only get one, I don't feel like dying."
Felsic stood up, a bit hesitant at the boy's request. But once he saw that casual confidence in Mike's eyes, the Typhlosion wordlessly sent a right hook flying through the air, connecting to his trainer's left shoulder. The brute force sent him spiraling through the air, landing a few feet back in the dirt. Face down, the boy's body shook with laughter. "That was great!" He spoke, his voice muffled somewhat by dirt. "You really are strong." said Mike, quickly rising to his feet.
Felsic felt the same way about his trainer. While odd, completely unpredictable, and with methods of physical training far from normal, Mike was certainly something else.
"Alright, you deserve a rest." Mike lifted up the Fire Pokemon's Pokeball and recalled him, clipping the ball back into the usual strap. He needed a break too, his whole body was sore from that bit of training. He set his back on the Pokemon Center wall, sliding down with a heavy sigh, the descent to the ground eased by the mass amounts of sweat on his back. He landed on his butt softly, letting out one last sharp exhale and closing his eyes. The breeze picked up, the winds wiping away his anger. "I can't keep beating myself up like this." He said, rubbing his shoulder. "My past is just that, the past. There's nothing I can do today to stop things from happening yesterday, so why do I let myself get like this?"
Mike leaned back, his mind racing with thoughts. He wished that his friends would show up soon. He still wanted that Omanyte.

With his two pokemon glaring at him like that Dante felt like he was a little kid caught stealing. Holding up the bag containing the small disk he did his best to smile. "I got that TM for you Apollo." Looking somewhat appeased Apollo lifted his head haughtily as if telling him to go on. "Well, its a really powerful grass-" Apollo snorted at the mention of weak grass pokemon. Frowning Dante eyed his annoyed pokemon. "It’s called Solar Beam, look Apollo you just can't learn many moves that aren’t normal or fire type. Trust me when this move is powered up with Sunny Day it will blow your enemies out of the park." Pulling it out of the package, Dante pressed it onto Apollo's forehead right between his eyes. Glowing for a moment the disk transferred all its knowledge to Apollo who after getting an idea for what the attack would do looked like he had forgiven Dante. Tossing the now useless disk aside, he was probably littering but in this city that wasn't really something new. "Great now lets head over to Celadon City and see if I can't get myself one of those Porygon's." Hopping up onto Apollo's back Kenny immediately going into the safety of Dante's jacket. "Oh yeah, hold on for a second Apollo." He muttered remembering his stinging eyes. Rummaging through his things Dante finally found the Go-Goggles with the polarized protective lenses and slipped them on over his face. "Ok Apollo lets get going."
Not needing anymore prompting Apollo reared back and slammed his hooves down, breaking a few stones on the sidewalk, and took off speeding up fast enough to easily make it over the tall gates surrounding the city. Easily galloping through the grassy terrain passing several trainers on the way Apollo easily reached the somewhat close by gates of Celadon City. Not bothering to stop or slow down Apollo leaped clearing these gates just as easily. Dashing through the city not quite sure what he was looking for Apollo just decided to stop a the bright red roof of the Pokemon Center.

Hopping off of Apollo's back and pushing the goggles up onto the top of his head he looked around in an attempt to find the Game Corner. It didn't take long either, there was a building not to far off with tons of flashing lights. "I bet that’s it. Good job Apollo, you get some rest all right?" He patted the horse's neck before putting him back inside his Safari Ball. "All right Kenny, lets see what we can do in order to get a new pokemon." Poking his head out of the center of Dante's jacket, seeing that it was safe now he came out and swirled around his trainer. Smiling at him Dante watched him for a moment before they both headed off towards the loud building. Reaching the door Dante looked inside at the loud slot machine's and flashing lights. There seemed to be a lot of gambling addicted people. Sighing he pushed the door open and stepped inside. Looking around he spotted a large desk with a perky looking girl standing there. Shrugging Dante went over to the counter and opened his mouth to speak but was cut off by the perky looking girl.
"Hello welcome to Celadon City Game Corner. How can I be of assistance."
"Umm is there some way that I can get coins when I am not old enough to gamble?" He asked not quite sure how to phrase it.
"Oh! Your a trainer? Oh yes we do have something like that. What we do is have you work here and you can keep any coin's that you find. We temporarily give you a coin case." The perky girl explained easily. Pulling out a few pieces of paper she set it on the counter along with a pen. "Here read through this, you just check what you want to get and sign your name on the bottom. This way we know what to expect."
Picking up the paper Dante quickly read through it before picking the pen up and checking off the Porygon. Even if they did have a bunch of item's that did sound pretty appealing, along with something called an Upgrade that when held by Porygon and traded would cause it to evolve. Deciding to check that to Dante decided to sign his name.
I hereby pledge to work at the Game Corner until I accumulate as many coins I need in order to get what I checked above. I can keep any coins I find and any coins I get from someone I find cheating.
X Dante Remington.
As soon as he signed his name and set it down on the counter the girl swiped it away from him. "Hmm you look like you are on the smaller side." Dante frowned at that. The girl just ignored him and rummaged through the desk for a moment before pulling out a square bag that was wrapped around a nice looking uniform. "Change into this please. There is a locker room behind the door marked Employees’ only. I look forward to working with you Mr. Remington."
Not really used to people using his last name Dante held the clothes and stared at her for a moment before Kenny gave him a little nudge. "Oh um. I look forward to working with you to." He said before making his way over to the door to change.

It took Dante four minutes to change most of that time was taken trying to figure out where everything went. When he was done he looked like a cross between a Jack Daniels server and a Vegas card dealer. Sighing he picked up the white bowtie he was supposed to where and frowned. "Nope I am not wearing this, uniform or no. Kenny come here you get a uniform." The small ghost, who had been going through peoples lockers, peaked out of the one he had been searching and floated over to Dante. Smiling Dante wrapped the bowtie around the small ghost to where it rested underneath the skull mask he wore. "Great we are all ready." Picking up his temporary coin case and sticking it into the spot on his belt where it was supposed to go he was about to leave when a large almost frightening looking man stepped in.
"You the new kid?" He asked gruffly. He was about six foot five and had medium length brown hair that was tied back in a ponytail. The uniform did little to hide the large bulging muscles the man had.
Craning his neck upwards, Dante looked up at the man. "Um... yeah I just started." Kenny was hiding behind him, being the brave ghost pokemon that he was.
The man just stared at him for a moment before breaking into a big smile and grabbing Dante and enveloping him into a spine crushing hug. "Well welcome to the job! My names Leon and your going to start off working for me up at the bar."
Doing his best to breath Dante managed to gasp out. "Nice to meet you."
Laughing Leon let him go and patted him on the back, it nearly knocked Dante over. "I like you kid! So first off I am going to tell you how many coins you need to get that Porygon and the Upgrade for its evolution. That's a mighty big one you are going after. The Porygon itself is 9.999 coin's. WITH the Upgrade you need to gather, 10,499 coins." Dante groaned and pulled a face at hearing the high numbers, Leon just laughed at the sight. "HAHA! Don't worry, it's worth it. Most of us make that in two day's, but then we spend it on gambling. That’s how they get us to stay you see." He explained. DANTE'S COINS 0/10,499

Strolling down the path, she noticed a wooden sign in the ground, reading; "Route 1 - Viridian City up ahead." Tracing her fingers along the sign, she smiled strangely, her Bulbasaur giving her a dark look, as if to say, "come on.." Walking away from it, she came across some deep grass, covering the path ahead of them both. "Eh, you wanna ride?" Jumping up into the air happily, she caught him, letting him rest upon her head as she pushed past the thicket. Feeling something tug at her leg, she assumed it was just her pokemon, but quickly remembered it was on top of her head. Looking down warily, she kicked it away, but screamed as it bit hard on her skin. "Ow!" Running back out from the grass, she was surprised to see a Ratatta bounding after her, annoyed that she had kicked it.
Attempting to bite her again, Bulbasaur quickly leapt down, standing guard in front of Leila. "No! It's not safe!" Without turning back, it shouted loudly, "Bulba-bulba!" This probably meant stay back, but she couldn't tell at that moment. Readying itself, it stared back at the pokemon, watching it carefully. Suddenly, the Ratatta attacked, pushing Bulbasaur down into the ground. Frustrated, the Bulbasaur pushed it off, tackling it angrily as he defended his trainer. Irritated, the Ratatta shook its head, then leapt up again at the pokemon, scratching wildly in order to hurt it. Feeling the sharp claws against it's skin, Bulbasaur felt itself enrage, bellowing loudly at the rat pokemon, weakening it's strength as it back away in fear. Not one to lose the battle, the Rattata chirped angrily at the tow before heading back out into the grass, it's tail fading away into the distance. "Bulbasaur... Thank you!" Giggling excitedly for them both, she wrapped her arms around the pokemon as she hugged it affectionately. "You did great!"

The Pokemon nodded, running forward and jumping in front of his trainer. Had he not done this, the attack would have struck Kilik. "Luuu..COLO!" His arms stretched out to his sides and he seemed to float for a moment. A massive wave a water burst from Ludicolo's pores. The rushing cascades towered up towards the opponent, aiming to strike him down.
"Kilik! Kilik!" Rena crouched next to him, placing her arm over his shoulders, "We need to get you to a doctor now!" She glanced at the arm he was clutching. His white sleeve was becoming a dull red. Rena grimaced at the thought of what might happen to him. She looked back over at the Lairon. Kilik shook his head.
"I'm not leaving without that Lairon!" he barked. His voice echoed in the empty cave.

Quite a bit of time had passed since Nina had arrived in the Gym, and for every second that Kasiya wasn't making herself present, the more it had added on to the girl's anxiety. What if she's completely decided against battling me? Or--or what if she's just toying with me, to see if I can handle the pressure of waiting for her? She blinked. No. That's the paranoia talking. Kasiya'd never do something like that-- she's not that diabolical. Heck, if anything, she's just a klutzy dork. She's probably gone and fallen in a hole somewhere. A chuckle.
Turning and walking towards her friends, Nina smiled a bit. "I don't know about the both of you, but I'm getting a bit antsy waiting for Kasiya. Whaddaya say we have a practice match while we're waiting?" Raimundo grinned at the offer, while Whitney nearly jumped out of her skin from excitement at the offer. "Like, totally and a hundred percent YEAH!" Nina jumped back a bit at the induced reaction from the girl. "Jeez, Whitney. Calm down. Heh. I'm only asking because I want to test out the Pokemon I want to use-- it's been awhile since I've had the opportunity to use them. That cool?" Raimundo nodded. "Yeah, that's f--" "Yeah, sure, whatever! Let's go! What's the conditions already?!" Jeez. Somebody's got some blood boiling. "Well, the two conditions are going to be the same as the ones I will set for Kasiya: One, you are entitled to use three Pokemon. The second condition is that this will be a double battle, meaning that you two are gonna be working on a team, to simulate me battling Kasiya's team of two. Get it?" Unclipping a Pokeball, Raimundo and Whitney stepped forward. "Totally."
A grin spread over Nina's face. "Awesome. Now, just... let me get the Pokemon from the PC." She chuckled, a little embarrassed, and ran over to the computer, logging on and donating all of her Pokemon, switching the three Psychics into her party that she was planning on using. Logging off and going back to the arena, the girl flicked her hair out of her face, and held one Pokeball in each hand. "Oh," she said, "for the record, this is only a practice match. Beating me won't earn you a Marsh Badge."
A moment later, four Pokeballs flew throughout the air.
On Nina's side, a gypsylike Pokemon swayed her hips while a mime moved his hands about in front of his face.
On the opposite side, a small Pokemon with large jaws stood in front of Raimundo while a large cat scratched behind an ear, positioning herself near Whitney.

Lairon roared and jumped to the level below, landing in the attack. The wave swept him into the rocks that staggered towards the ceiling. With a mighty crash, Lairon found himself on his back after the wave had receded. Quickly standing back up, the behemoth roared. His claws began to shine brightly as he dashed forward to Ludicolo.
Kilik stood up slowly, still clutching his shoulder. Pain coursed through his body faster than ever at this point, but nothing was going to stop him from capturing the Lairon he had found. "Ludicolo!" he barked, "Dodge it then follow up with Surf again!" He winced, then fell to his knees again. Do I have the skill to tame him? he thought, biting his lower lip.
The Carefree Pokemon swayed to the right, dodging Lairon's Metal Claw, then clenching his fists together. He began to 'sweat', cold water flowing out of his pores. Ludicolo looked over at Rena, as if to tell her to back off. Rena nodded, grabbing Kilik and saving him this time. Granted, he was a lot heavier than she was and she could only carry him so far before stopping to rest. However, the distance she put between them and the feuding Pokemon must've been enough, because Ludicolo let loose his Surf once more. The tidal wave surged towards Lairon. The Carefree Pokemon wore a very grim expression.

Sheesh. That Rattata is really annoying. Geodude stood up from the broken rubble around him now a bit steamed at the opposing rat. So far no trainers with a low level one such as this had done so well in the gym. But it was still a really low level. "Use Rock Throw whenever it tries one against you and attack it with a few too." Brock commanded calmly.
"Geodude!" It shouted in response as it began tossing over a few heafty rocks towards it's opponent. Most of the smaller once were thrown hap-hazardly in an attempt to do collateral damage but the largest rocks were aimed with a deadly accurate eye.

"Ratata, hit some of those back!" Train commanded. Ratata, while dodging the larger rocks, whacked the smaller ones back a Geodude with it's tail. A few times it would use a Quick Attack to speed it up a bit.
"Now get one of the larger rocks!" Train called, and Ratata, skipping the Tail Whip, used Quick Attack at full force to hit a large rock back a Geodude. It fell to the ground, taking a little damage from the impact, but jumped to it's feet and shook it off, mostly.

"Defense Curl-Protect!" Brock proclaimed as the large rock came flying back at Geodude. He pulled in the cross arm pattern as a dim green barrier appeared around him causing the rock to deflect of harmlessly. As the green dissapeared the normal white Defense Curl sheen appeared showing the raised status again. "Rock Tomb it when it kicks up another rock at you!" Brock proclaimed.

Train looked at Ratata. She stopped for a moment, thinking. Then she had an idea.
"Ratata, Tail Whip another big rock at Geodude! Then use Quick Attack on it again!" She called. "Wait, Ratata, come here!" Ratata ran over to Train, and she leaned down and whispered something into it's ear. Ratata nodded and ran back into the field. It chose a good sized rock and whacked it up with it's tail, then at Geodude.
Ratata used Quick Attack, appearing behind the rock and slamming into it, full force. It coughed a rat cough from the impact, and dissapeared again. This time, though, it didn't seem to reapear anywhere else. Where'd it gone?

((Dice roll for protect if it is a 3 it works, 1 or 2 it doesn't.))
"Be on the look out Geodude!" Brock instructed. "Use Protect if you see anything other than that rock coming at you!" He said calmly. I hope it works since I just used it recently. Geodude glanced around the battlefield looking for his foe pretty much in vain since he didn't see it.

((Aw, to bad. It didn't work!))
Train grinned as the rock smashed into Geodude. As the rock fell back to the ground, it rolled over in midair, and revealed Ratata attached to the back of it. "Now, Quick Attack!" Train cried.
Ratata ran to the top of the rock and just before it hit the ground dissapeared and reapeared in front of Geodude. It slammed into the rock pokemon and then fell back. It twitched and ran unsteadily back to Train's side of the field. It had gotten a critical hit because of it's Focus Energy before, but it had been paralized a bit.

As M.A. talked on the phone, Ky followed her towards the table where he had left his food. Before sitting down, he looked at his sandwich, still finding no appetite though his stomach growled. He knew that his Pokemon were hungry though, and so he let them both out. Little Guy took his normal perch on Ky's shoulder and Sting came out hovering near the table. Ky took both bowls and with one hand, he held the dish near his shoulder for Little Guy to reach, and with his other hand held the other bowl out to Sting. Not being able to hold it himself, Sting ate from the bowl as Ky held it, as did Little Guy. Both of them enjoyed their meals, shown by Little Guy's happy chirps and Sting's hastiness.
Ky just stood and became lost in his thoughts as M.A.'s conversation continued. He thought of the past, his family, his goals, his Pokemon. Every time his thoughts focused on Crenu, he lingered a bit, not quite ready to forget, but eventually shoved them aside, changing his focus to what he had to do now. Even with M.A.'s company, Ky felt very much alone. He wasn't really sure what to talk to her about, if anything. It was as if he was starting everything from scratch. Nevertheless, he found M.A.'s conversation entertaining towards the end. "M...... M...... uh...." Ky said, mockingly scratching his head. Then, he brought his hand up in victory. "Emm.... AY! There! I think I got it!" Sting looked on in confusion as he saw his bowl fling the remaining contents behind Ky, spreading across the Pokemon Center's floor. Realizing what he had done, Ky laughed in embarassment.
