Normal ork units works best, since all ork mercenaries are using normal entries, like boyz with blood axe theme or flash gitz with freeboota theme.
And looted wagons of course (along with the blood axes)
But maybe an "addition" of making the ork blood axe boyz swap the trukk for a looted wagon, or just theme the trukk around an imperial vehicle but still use the trukk rules.

ok, so just something like this: ___________________________________________________________________________
Ork Merkk Boyz:
[insert ork boyz statline here]
Special Rules:
[insert ork boyz rules here]
Looted Wagon: the unit may take a looted Wagon instead of a Trukk for +Xpts. ___________________________________________________________________________
how about including a rule like this with the unit?:
Freebootaz: the unit works for money, and as such, has the cash to afford more expensive kit. up to 2 models in the unit may be upgraded to Flash Gitz. they remain part of the Merkk squad
::EDIT:: changed the Lootaz to flash gitz, now what do you guys think?

The most common use of Lootas is in the Deffskullz, and I'd venture that they'd tend to avoid Imperial Armies. They're a little less forgiving of theft.
HOWEVER, given the Freeboota rule, why not allow for models to be upgraded to Flash Gitz?

Nyeh, not that freebooty if you ask me.
My tips is to look into older books, like 2nd edition and look up freebootaz there. wink

Those Orks, as well as the other models in the background, are all completely amazing.

Ich Will
Yes, Shino, I did mean the Nobz. Its a shame that they didn't have a Warboss to sit on one of those bikes, and I'll agree that the two Boss Bikez did look a little too junky/flimsy.

But as seen in one of the pictures FW is making one.
Looked like he had a buzzsaw cybork power klaw... nasty~
Something I do find rather odd is the nobz... They're more pimp than the warboss model!

right, well seeing as my new marines arnt all that good yet, and i am getting black reach anyways, im thinking of playing orks, so today, after seeing the photos of the new bikes, i built this: (sorry for the poor image quality, its 9pm, in england (so its dark) and for some reason, everything in the backround has come out yellow, even though my room is white... http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd92/SingleGunner/DSC01136.jpghttp://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd92/SingleGunner/DSC01138.jpghttp://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd92/SingleGunner/DSC01137.jpghttp://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd92/SingleGunner/DSC01140.jpghttp://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd92/SingleGunner/DSC01139.jpgit is a marine bike, with plasticard, a fantasy ork, and a base built from an ammo crate lid (the ramp) and some sprue (the rubble under the ramp)

Impressive, that Flakkatrakk is high on my hobby list now, I just love the look of those quad cannons and super-charged engine. Nobs are looking nice as well, I am digging the options shown thus far. Same with the powder grots, I like the one with the admiral's hat. Only thing I'm missing here is an actual shot of the Battle Wagon.

Now, there might already be one, but what I want to see is a Orky sidecar with an Ork hunched down in it, looking all serious with his goggles on.

That sidecar would be needing big dakka guns to be truly serious.

Bikes with sidecars... Beef it up a bit, and make an ork version of the Space Marine Attack Bike, using the rules of a Buggy~

I've read around that the White Dwarf team (or whoever) were quite insistent on the Battlewagons not being captured on film, except for the mold that they make them in. Which is understandable, but I can't figure out a whole lot just from seeing that big hunk of metal with shapes etched out of it...
Man, I wanna see those twelve completely-different combinations!
