Can't wait to march mello! I'm a switchover but they said I'm as good as a lot of sophmores. I got to play one yesterday in band, it's so awesome. Like a trumpet, but not :3

Wooooooo!!! I'm so excited I get to be section leader and first chair in the coming school year. The other girl above me is quitting!!!!!!!!!

I Love The French horn to me it's like my baby. I play the trumpet for jazz and I can't stand the high notes I'm like GGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRR scream I'm a French horn player at heart and plan to play it throught high school blaugh but my school gives you a home horn and a school horn so I don't have to deal with the bus ride. =D

Its gonna be my first year of marching with a mellophone and its going to be so awesome!!!!! Im 2nd chair on the field and im barely a freshman!!!!

We have to march common time (4/4 one measure alternating to 3/4 the next and back again) resulting in 7 count and 14 count moves. It's annoying, and what makes it worse, some of the people in my Marching Band just flat out CAN'T March. Worse, some of them WON'T march.
As for the odd time stuff, I'm near my section almost all the time (with the exception of a couple measures). I don't worry about it much. But, the hard part is, I'm almost always at the front of the line, so I lead.
Mellophone section is great. Our section leader is extremely laid back. And we have these fun times. The 2nd Chair is crazy. I'm third chair this year, and my new mello friend is Last Chair because she's a freshman and we no longer audition.

AH!! THE SEASON ENDED SATURDAY AND I MISS MY MELLO!!! It's so sad! At least our school made it to the play offs so I get to play it friday smile WOOT! Yay for amazing football players!! My section leader hasn't been able to march since the begging of the season. Something happened to her hip and now she has to use a cane. She told us how proud she was after our last competition. She's a senior and she was crying after we got on the bus to go home.

Made Finals at BOA super regional Atlanta This year, with Gothams Villains Unleashed! My section leader was crying. Though Tarpan Springs won, it was still fun.

Paintbrushes and Oral Sex Mello for a few months, French horn for about a week. (Just switched from trombone.) Question: I'm having a lot of trouble with horn. Is it the same as everything else, just needing a ton of air support? Because it's haaaaard. After playing mellophone for a while, I thought I could tackle horn easily (because for how long I've been playing mellophone, I'm fairly good already.) First of all, that's what she said. Second, It is more complicated than most other instruments, because you can hit a lot of pitches with a single fingering. yes, French Horn does take a lot of air. The longer you play, the more lung capacity you will develop, and it wont be as difficult to play.

I was gonna make one but OKAY! My brother used to play both, my other brother used to play horn, but now I'm carrying it on because I want to. I play Freanch Horn in F in Beggining band at my school.
