Izumi pulled himself up onto the cliff, dropping the bag of weights and took a moment to catch his breath. It was a rough climb up but Izumi knew he would be stronger for it. Just as he was thinking about how he hadn't eaten anything yet today he heard Haruko say something about a mission and getting lunch. Izumi walked over to where she and the other boy in his team were standing. "Sure, I am getting a bit hungry..." Even as the words left his mouth Izumi felt a bit uneasy. After all this was the same girl who had pushed them off a cliff and thrown rocks at them whole they were climbing back up.

Reck was about to try and hit Haruko but then she looked at him and smiled and asked the team about getting something to eat. She looked so innocent at the moment which was kinda strange but he paid litte mind to it. He let his head and arms hang down cought by surprise by her question then looked at her with a smile and a sweat drop then stood up strait and placed his hand on his stomach.
"Sure Haruko-chan. I could go for somethin to eat."

((Welp, back to climbing...
Success: 29/50 -22(for str dc:1 penalty) = 7/50))

Just as Amaya reached out with her free hand, the kunai she was using to support most of her weight broke free from its seemingly secure crevice against the rocks. "Shimata!" As soon as the words left her lips, she went sailing back towards the water. This time she knew what do, and reaching to her leg pack ,she fished a second kunai, jabbing them both into the side of the mountain to slow her fall. It worked well enough. Again, she had just escaped the fatal splash back into the cold waters below that would resoak her sack weights. A string of unwholesome words left her lips as she moved to head up again.

[[heheheh always trying. Thats good. ]]

Haruko heard something and remembered her third student. She walked over to the ledge and looked at Amaya climbing up, "Oy, you hungrey love? Come on. We're going to get something for everyone." Haruko climbed down the side of the plateue barehanded and gripped ahold of Amaya. even though the girlw as bigger in height and weight than Haruko, she still scurried up the mountain with the girl (don't worry, you'll still get exp for this)

She deposited the girl near her friends and smiled. "Ok now that everyones finished, I want you guys to go get cleaned up and meet me at the Kara Badlands." She smiled and just as quickly as she had appeared before them earlier, she vanished in the blink of an eye. Leavin only a small crator where her feet use to be from the pressure of her take off thrust.

Reck raised an eyebrow to how fast little Haruko left and that she left behind a small crater and he smiled a little looking at his new teammates.
"Soooo...whats up?"

Amaya only gave a nod to Reck as she stretched her sore muscles. Unbelieveable. Her first day with her new team and she couldn't even finish a simple rock cllimbing exercise. Of course their was good reason for that, but Amaya tended to be hard on herself. The thought of being cut short of finishing the training till the end pissed her off, but she WAS starving. So much infact that she couldn't even keep up the energy to be angry with Haruko. "Ah f*** it..." she thought.

Izumi barely had time to blink before Haruko dashed away. A girl that small shouldn't have so much energy, he decided even though he couldn't do anything about it. He looked over at his new teammates and examined them for a short time. They were both plenty strong, especially Reck. "Looks like I'll have to work hard to keep up...." He muttered to himself. "I'll meet the two of you at the badlands. Best not to keep her waiting..." Having said that Izumi pulled out his book and began reading as he headed to the Kara badlands.

Reck was so anxious to start on his next training, he didnt even feel like waiting for his other teammate to answer him.
"aaaaAAAAWWWW, I cant wait! I'll see you guys at the badlands. Later!"
With that, Reck turned around and jumped off the side of the cliff jumping from rock to rock down the side and then took off towards the badlands.

Amaya craacked her sore knuckles before heading off to leave the area.

The boy and his cat began the ascent up the platue using the regular path. Of course he could have tried mountain climbing but he figured he'd need all his strength for this. Looking to the cat, he arched a brow for a moment. "So why exactly are we all the way out here? If I'm going to be using a genjutsu, shouldn't I be around people."

She hopped off his shoulder and began to walk in front of him. Moving slowly, she stopped a bit in front of him and looked back over her shoulder, "I'm more than enough for right now. If you can put me under genjutsu then you'll be fine with anyone really. Not to say I'm the best but I'm highly resililliant."

Roy sighed for a moment and glanced down to the cat. His steps took him around to the more circular center of the platues top where he was to start his training. A cold wind blew past him and the cat carrying a bit of dust on it. Actually, a great deal of dust but not really a dust storm or anything to worry about. Nothing more than what he'd probably kick up if he did Body Flicker on a dirt road or something.

He looked to Etna who simply sat there. He had locked eyes with her but she only sat there. "Sooo...when do I start?"

"Hmmm you tell me..."

What an odd response. But before he had time to ponder on it, he heard a noise coming from behind him. A slight turn and his eyes caught a horrifying sight. His mother, slowly crawling up the side of the mountain. Charred and coughing up mounds of blood. He stood there terrified as Ryoko collapsed on the ground. A mound of kunai and shuriken were in her back. The scent of blood and flesh, both fresh and chared, filled his nose as he gazed on. He couldn't believe his eyes. Who would do such a thing...but just as soon as he was about to rush over to her, a voice cried out STOP.

It was Etna's. Roy turned to her to see the cat neither phased or altering her motion...he realized that Etna didn't care for too many people but at the very least she would have turned her head had this event really been going on...it was a genjutsu. When he turned back to look, the genjutsu was gone. Not even the scent filld his nose anymore. It was like Ryoko was never ther...because she wasn't.

"That was a genjutsu. A rather basic one but highly effective if I do say so myself. Magen: Narakumi no Jutsu...The Viewing of Hell Genjutsu. I've done it so many times that I don't need to specifically manipulate my chakra any particular way. But I believe that you would need the Rat handsign to perform this one. I want you to catch me in your gaze. You know the fondementals of Genjutsu right?" Roy nodded, "Good, then I won't go there. For now, lets just get your chakra flowing correctly. You want the flow of chakra to move through your mind and to your eyes, thats where the genjutsu is cast from. Now, lets get this show on the road. Try to build your chakra properly

he shook his body bit, as if getting the cobwebs out or something. He then looked ahead and found a focus point on the sights in front of him. Rather, the sight. It was the cat. Hecaught ehr eyes within his own and began to focus. His chakra was flowing rather well today but that didn't mean that it'd listen to him.

The wind was a silent steam of soft whistles and calls as he stood atop the platue looking out into the sky. Moving quickly, he brought his hands up before him. Clasped and ready to go, his body tingled with antipicpation. It always got like this when he was about to embark on a new jutsu. But this anticipation was usually the mark of early and often failure. And this was no exception.

Just as he began to move his chakra, he felt the flow push through his mind but it kinda just died there. Too many damn chakra channels for him to really focus on a set path. He shook his head a little after the failure and looked down to the cat. Etna stood there silently and smirked up to the boy.

Releasing the seal, he moved his hands together again and locked his gaze with that of the feline. Focused and determined, he pumped his chakra through his body once more.

His mind moved with determination as did his chakra. He found his body to be responding a bit sluggishly today but that was nothing new. He just had to work through it really. After all, the last chakra training he did to his mind was actually to stop the chakra up there, not move it in a direct path.

The chakra network that was attached to his eyes was an annoying little b***h. Several chakra nodes were around the head and connected to the eyes directly or at least passed close by. It made it hard to determine which one to send the chakra through and also how much to send. He couldn't pump too much less he'd give himself a damndable headache.

He was on the verge of said headache this time. Stopping for a long moment, he rubbed his eyes and took a deep breath. Again, the cat sat silently. he was unphased by her calmness. He began to apply the seal and focus once more.

Damndable brain cramps. He felt his mind rattle with chakra and not in the good way. Instantly he broke the focus and growled a bit as he looked up to the cat. Finally a reaction...a smirk. Of all the friggin emotions she could have displayed, why a smirk. She was finding joy in this pain the boy felt. Whatever, she would have to figure things out later with that cat. For now, she had to at least get a genjutsu off on the cat.

His head was throbing a bit now but he still had to focus. He glanced up to the cat and again applied the chakra. Through the slight ting of pain, which was subsiding now, he focused once more and began another attempt at this damn jutsu.
