nikki_is_me *After removing her sun glasses,she nods after hearing your answer and chuckles softly. She hadn't met many others herself, but coming across another didn't surprise her. She found that once they were somewhat close they were drawn together somehow.* "I'm the first other than yourself you've met?" *She pauses a moment before she continues. She wasn't usually open with others, but with only Ksi, Joey, and Synge awake in the room she trusted them all with the knowledge about her ability. * "Before I realized what was happening I couldn't figure out where these strange emotions were coming from.. why I would feel angry out of nowhere and then happy not more than two minutes later. I was maybe ten when we figured out what it was. Since then I've felt others emotions, but I've had a hard time distinguishing one from another and sometimes even my own from other's emotions."

*Walking to the door, she opens it up and steps inside. It felt like it took her hours just to close that door, but it was shut finally and then she headed to the front of the tavern.*
*Seeing Nikki and Joey sharing in some water, she decided to join in on it. She felt this lump in her throat and needed to get rid of it*
Hey Nikki, may I have some water too?
*Fire stands there as if she was going to take the water on the go*

*Synge silently watched the others go about their business. She listened to the interesting conversation between Nikki and the stranger, but did not quite understand it all. Perhaps it was for the best, it wasn't her business to deal with. Still, she felt a sense of sadness for each of their stories. Feeling lost seemed to be a common theme around this place.*

Bricker *It appeared as though Joey was starting to grasp what was going on. He nodded slowly and then looked about the room as if to determine if he felt safe. He felt no hostile energy coming from anywhere in the room so this satiated his fears.*I have you beat...you see...I am certain that I have lost my memory...I woke up in this empty field near here not but a few weeks ago. I have no idea where it is other than Gaia as I have been told. I have memories of people and places but they are but ghostly images in my mind now. I was startled when I noticed that not only did I know nothing about my presence here but I also didn't know how to deal with people's feelings being thrust upon me...I didn't ask for this...but I must live with it...perhaps it is part of the reason why I remember nothing...Joey might not even be my real name...but that is all I know now...*He took in a deep breath and took a long drink of his water.* *She laughs outright at your statement about having her beat. But as you continue she frowns. She didn't like seeing others unhappy, and not knowing one's past or even one's own name would certainly make one unhappy.* "That's... a sad story you have. If I can help you at all, with anything don't be afraid to ask. My door is always open." *Hearing Fire come in and ask for water, she turns and nods to her.* "Sure thing." *She smiles and stands up, repeating the process of earlier with one glass this time and refills her own and Joey's glasses. Bricker *He nods and feels a small smile creep across his face.*Thanks, it's nice to know you feel that way...but to be honest, I can't really be sad if I don't know what I am sad about. Perhaps if I learn more about me then I might be sad but I can't feel that way without knowning... *She watches Fire leave, and turns back to you, then nods after a moment. * "I can see your point there. But then again once you know perhaps you can go back to what you had, which if it's a good life you wouldn't be sad, no?" *She shifts her position and crosses her left leg over her right.*

Ksi had been standing there the entire time. He had carefully, yet, casually been paying attention to everything. Finally he steps forward and has a seat at the bar between Synge and Joey.
Hm, very interesting…
He trails off for a second, as if pondering something.
I wouldn’t worry about Rhodes and Fire too much right now guys. They’re just going through some personal issues regarding their relationship, and Aykon. In any case, I noticed you both cringed.
He says in regards to Joey and Nikki.
I just wanted to give you a heads up. So you’re both empaths eh? That’s interesting. Empathic Telepathy is a part of the psionic spectrum, so you can assume I have this power as well. However, it isn’t as unruly as my true power, so I’ve never had too much difficult distinguishing between my own and other’s emotions. I just figured that since we were getting to know each other a little better, that I’d say a few things on the subject.
He looks at Joey, and offers his hand.
My name is Ksi, as you’ve heard. I’m a good friend of the owner's. I can relate to your situation in more ways then one, actually. Not only do I have all manner of psionic abilities, among other things, but I’ve also had amnesia before. It can be a very unpleasant and confusing situation.
He pauses for a second, to add emphasis.
Now, I’m not trying to make light of this issue, but if you want...I can bring back your memory. It probably won’t be easy for either of us, but I’m sure it’s possible. By that same token, it’d be best if you take a moment to consider this, before you answer. For some people, they just have to know, and if they aren’t cured, then likely that if they have something that they truly need to remember, they eventually will. However, for some others, there are things they don’t want to remember, and maybe even intentionally blocked out the memories. So just think about it for a moment, and feel it out. The answer should come to you.
At this point Joey, and even Nikki, could feel a warm type of harmonic serenity pulsating off of Ksi. For normal people, he would just appear as if being very sincere and caring at the moment. However, for empaths such as the two in his immediate presence, they would be able to feel his intentional projection of emotions. Yes, he was being sincere and caring, but he was also showing them the genuine nature of his words, and who he was as a person, by making them feel warm and safe, and peaceful. He felt it was the least he could do for both of them at the moment, as they both seemed to be having a bit of a hard time as well, especially Joey. It seemed that nearly everyone here was struggling with some form of causality or another. Even Synge could probably feel these feelings he was emitting, whether she realized it or not. He could definitely make her if he wanted to, but he wasn’t really focusing on her at the moment, with the intent of comforting emotions, at least. However, Ksi tends to put off a lot of anything when he does, because of his immense capacity. Not that he couldn’t completely cloak his power, if he wanted too, but he was relaxed and among friends now. He smiled and leaned back a little, to give Joey a moment to consider his proposition. Turning to Nikki, he politely makes a request at her earlier offer.
You know, I think some pancakes would be splendid this morning. How about you? Yes, I think I could eat a small stack, if you don’t mind. Oh, and a glass of milk to go with it would be great, thanks.
He then reaches in to his back pocket and pulls out his wallet, and then rest it under his hand on the counter. Finally, he glances over at Synge, and smiles.
So, how are you this morning? I figured you’d be here when I arrived. I was looking forward to seeing you. I mean, and showing you how to use a sword. If you’re still interested, that is.
He couldn’t help but smirk.
If so, we can start in just a bit, after breakfast.

Breakfast is on me this morning." ((Sorry for leaving you so far behind, and just curious, are you an empath IRL?))

(Oh, yes, Fire. That is indeed what I meant, sorry.)
Finding his good nature taken so well among his new friends, makes Ksi very happy, and he’s fine with showing this with his expressions.
Fruit and whipped cream you say? That would be splendid, thank you.
He then puts his wallet away without much thought, but he did appreciate the offer of free breakfast. It was just that ever since he’d awakened into his power, money had basically became more of a concept, than an object, especially one to be sought after. So whether he was saving it or giving it away, didn’t really matter too much to him. He did think it was nice of Nikki though. To him, food was a much better gift than money.
Yes, it’s turning out to be a fine morning so far. I am indeed looking forward to the delicious breakfast soon to come, and then some training thereafter.
He spoke with a bit more cheer than usual. He’s a fairly soft spoken man, unless he’s angry, so different inflections in his voice go easily noticed. When Tiax rolls off the couch, he glances over and then chuckles.
Heh, that man could probably sleep through a hurricane, and probably has.
(Am I an empath in real life? To some extent, yes, I think I am. Why do you ask?)
