Alti paused for a moment, thinking. He seemed to be quite recovered... for the most part. He still seemed quite a bit dazed, but was deffinately much more clear than he had been earlier. "Nnnn... how about... after I fell down the stairs at the party, I suffured a concussion.... You, being the kind person you are, took me to the local medic, who healed me for the most part but accidently replaced my liver with a sack filled with aphrodisiac, which then caused me to fall madly in love with you..." He grinned up at Haar and added, "No matter how you look at it, it's much more believable than anything she'll ever say."

Expecting a well-though out, possible situation he could say, Haar's eyes narrowed slightly, "I know you're kidding, but I don't know you well enough to say something that'll sound true to her. Or to anyone really," he added with a slight frown. "I want this to sound at least slightly believable, I don't want to have to do anything to prove a point," he expressed, tugging at his hair. It was getting...long, long for his standards at least. Long and shaggy, and if he continued he would have every single adjective needed to describe a dog.

"Who in hell would ever take out your liver for getting hit on the head anyway?" Haar questioned, staring at the teen with a confused expression.

Alti nodded. He knew they needed a firmly believable cover story, but... he couldn't come up with any that seemed to fit. But at Har's last inquiry, he had to smile and a small laugh trickled from his lips. "Oh.... Mum hasn't ever thought much of the medics in the Kingdom of Ice.... I'm not sure why, but she's always been very skeptical of their abilities," he murmured, shrugging.

"They aren't very good, I can tell you that," Haar grumbled, his past experience with one such cleric from the ice nation hadn't gone well and he had been sent back to the inn to stay and heal the 'slow' way.

Frowning slightly, the red-eyed male wracked his brain for a scenerio, something that would be considerabley believeable. "I guess I could just tell them the real way I met you, and keep them guessing with a 'and the rest was history~' line," Haar explained, clasping one hand over his heart, mustering up the most starry-eyed expression he could. It only resulted in his eyes brightening up a bit, a half smile touching his lips and nothing more, but at least it was a start.

"Unless you'd rather your mother stay ignorant on your failed teleportation attempt," the young man added with a near smirk, eyes narrowing slightly in jest.

"Mother's never thought much of my magic... it wouldn't be a surprise to any of them...." Alti murmured slightly dejectedly. It was a depressing topic for him, to say the least. But now was not the time.... He glanced back up at Haar and added, "No one's really tried to prove it yet, but I probably do have Fire relations - even if they are obscure." He slumped back in his chair, a small frown on his lips as he tried to think of something slightly more... romantic, he supposed, was the word. Mother would eat up, for sure.

"How about... we met outside the party, but didn't exchange names.... Then later met again, at the party, and danced for a while.... Everything seemed good, so when I found my driver to be drunk, you ever-so-kindly offered to take me home.... But then romantic crap happened and I mini-eloped to your Kingdom before realising that Mother would most likely be supportive. How's that?" Romantic? ...Maybe if someone else had said it.

Folding his hands in front of him, Haar tilted his head to one side, eyes crinkling as he smiled broadly, something he didn't do quite often, "Sounds like a good story to me. I know it wouldn't work on my friends but your mother doesn't know me very well, I'm assuming." No, his companions would realize the flaw in the story from the very beginning.

Haar didn't like parties to begin with, so the chance of him actually participating in them by dancing would sound utterly ridiculous to them. Contrary to popular belief, he was an okay dancer, nothing outrageously good but he was a slight bit better than average-- only because one he had moved up in certain rank, taking on the role of a diplomat, he had been pushed to take fine dining and ballroom dancing lessons. "But as long as your mother believes it, it's fine with me," he murmured, glancing over towards one of the large, wood doors as it was creaked open, a servant or two peeking in before scampering off moments later.

Alti nodded. "I'm sre it'll be fine... Mum's probably too happy that I've 'settled down' for her really question 'us' - she'll be off in her own world for quite some time...." he mumbled slowly, stretching back in his seat, arms raised. He was beginning to feel slightly tired again, but that didn't change the fact that he felt better now than he had since before the bath.

"So... you should probably tell her the story... and I guess I'll help - I mean, she doesn't have too much faith in me, so it might be more convincing if you spoke...." he explained slowly.

Haar eyed the teen anciously, "She...you'd think you would have more credibility than some foreigner," he said with a faint frown. Eventually shrugging, the young commander sighed, "Oh well, it's fine, as long as she believes me I can deal with it."

He didn't know why he was so nervous about saying anything if he was questioned. He supposed he wasn't the best liar when it came to personal issues, he just ended to spill if he was pushed to a certain limit...and that fear of sputtering out what was reality concerned him. But that wouldn't happen...this was supposed to be some formal get-together, not an interrogation.

He should have fun with this. It wasn't everyday he had the chance to have some sort of relationship with anyone, even if it was a fake one. With an almost sly grin, the brown haired male continued in a much less apprehensive voice, "This should be amusing."

k. Tang of the Kingdom of Light embarked on a journey that many of the people of his land had made. At the age of 18 it was customary to begin a spiritual journey to travel across the land spreading the light and heloing those in need. Upon turning 18, those involved in royal affairs were given the title of Cleric and their training in the ways of the Light were complete. Those who had proven themselves worthy began this journey and returned when they were given the sign. The sign appeared differently for every person, but it was a sure marker of their achievements and told them they could return to their kingdom. Some spent as few as 3 days outside the kingdom before returning, while others when for the rest of their lives. He followed the path of The Pilgrimage, a journey to several shrines set up around the world meant as markers to leave offerings. Along the way he helped whoever he could. K had helped a farmer tend to his land when his animal was sick, freed a haunted cave of its darkness, and donated much of his time to other causes. He is now in the Kingdom of Fire, and was traveling about aimlessly, lost.

[[@Mie: Thank you sooo much. >W< THEY ARE SO CUTE OMGOMGOMG.]]

Grey eyes skimmed over the lean teenager's form, watching the soft rise and fall of the blanket covering him loosely. Rising, the general brushed away blonde hair from the boy's face before looking up towards the other. "A knight, I take it? First, send omeone to find Ceris. Second, leave the castle grounds, and ride as fast as you can towards the village of Desmrov. There should be an archer residing there at the inn, a tall, dark haired fellow. Purple eyes, he shouldn't be very hard to find. Bring him back with you," he ordered in a swift, urgent tone, eyes flickering between the prone teen and the other standing at attention.

"I expect you later tonight. Tell your captain you're leaving by my order, I'll take care of the rest," he added with a faint smile, watching as the young knight saluted and left at a fast pace.

K was completely exhausted. He had just climbed over an enormous mountain ridge and was halfway down the toher side. In the distance he could see what seemed to be a fortress of the Kingdom of Fire. He decided that he would head there and check it out. His journey was as much exploratory as it was educational, and he was eager to learn about the Fire Kingdom's military. He made his was down and headed towards the fortress. Some time later, he has reached the village outside the fortress and was merily browsing a market.

Cain had left ten minutes prior on one of the sable-colored horses waiting in the fire capital's stables. Leading the horse through the first village he came across, the knight quickly saught out a merchant's stand, buying a bit of food and water for the trip before leaving the small town.

It took a little over two hours to reach the small area known as Desmrov, and a little more than two minutes to find the inn Cyrus has described. Leaving his dark horse outside, the young man went inside in search of the inn keeper. Once found, Cain questioned, "I'm looking for an archerstaying here. Apparently quite aloof so I'm sure if you've seen him, but he's got dark hair and purple eyes. About my height. Have you seen him lately?"

[[Yey for side stories. n__n
Cain and Calix will eventually become way more important.]]

K had found out that he was in the Fire Kingdom capitol city, and realized he could do some good here. He decided to find an inn to sleep at for the night and begin again in the morning. K walked around for ten minutes before finding an inn that seemed friendly enough. He walked inside and headed towards the innkeeper, noticing some stares in his direction. "They must not like those from the Kingdom of Light" he thought to himself.

The inn keeper must've recognized who he was describing rather quickly, because in a few moments he was telling what room the archer was staying in, explaining that he wasn't sure if the man was in his room but that the knight could always check and if not could come back at a later time.

Cain didn't know how he'd gotten so lucky. The military had accepted him easily enough, a few questions here and there as to what exactly he was (which was hard for him to answer) and where he came from, but other than that he'd recieved responbilities and moved up in rank very quickly. Now after all of that, he was sent on a mission by one of the fire generals to bring his seeming companion inside the castle walls-- that is, if it was the same, dark haired, purple-eyed archer.

Knocking on the described door lightly, Cain waited for a few moments before it slid open cautiously. Brows furrowed gently in curiousity, the knight leaned forward slightly in an attempt to get a better view at the person who'd opened the thin wooden door. "Cal- Calix?"

-----

During his not so quaint dinner, a messenger came up to Ceris with a frown, explaining that he was needed in the medical wing. The mage glanced worriedly at Xel for a moment before excusing himself in a quiet tone, hurrying off for the medical wing.

Grey eyes flicked back over towards the entry way as the light native stumbled in through in a hasty manner, looking almost frazzled when noticing just who was in the room. Not only was Peyton unconscious again, but Cyrus has been notified and stayed. The generals were nearly as Haar was, and sometimes even more so because their jobs were much more focused on training a specific set of principles and skills. It wasn't often one would stay long enough to make sure their soldiers were fine. Brushing dark purple hair behind his ears, the mage rest a hand upon the young blonde's forehead, frowning slightly as he eyed Cyrus. "It's not often that I see you, General," the mage commented as he checked the teen's vitals, "Especially watching over one of your rangers."

The general merely shrugged, straightening up with a faint grin, "Couldn't let my top prize die on me. Work your magic, kiddo. I expect Peyton back in shape by the festival," the sandy-haired man murmured before leaving with a lazy wave. The mage rolled his lavender-grey eyes dramatically as he mumbled a few healing spells over the sleeping teen. He didn't know why Cyrus called anyone even slightly younger than him a kid, they were basically the same age.

[[Okay, I think I'm done now with the side stories. D:]]
