The Roselia's gaze softened after the initial shock and surprise at seeing the Pokemon hold out her hand. The grass Pokemon held out her hand to shake the Emolga in a sign of friendship. Regardless of what happened with Sam, it looked to be an accident and there was no point in living in the past. So focused was she on the Emolga, the Pokeball hit her squarely on the back. Sucked into the ball, it landed and only rocked once from side to side before the center faded from red to white. Alistair had managed to catch a Roselia! The two now group of three were free to move onward!

"Here it comes, counter with focus punch!" Pepped back up, the monkey put up his dukes, waiting for the Sudowoodo to get closer before unleashing the attack.
The Sudowoodo took a direct hit! But when the dust cleared, he was perfectly fine. It would seem a match with a Guardian was a lot harder then any match Alex and his Pokemon had faced so far. The Sudowoodo simply took up a stance and began curling in preparation of using Defense Curl!

"Yes, a direct hit!" Pansear hopped back, but the Sudowoodo was still standing, looking like he wasn't even fazed by it. "Wait, what...?" The victorious joy quickly became a grim one. "Alright, we need to stop his defense from growing. Taunt him!" >"Come on, ya wuss. You can run but ya can't hide behind yer branches!"<
Taunt was successful! Sudowoodo can only attack for five turns! [0/5]
Pansear rolled a critical! +1 to all future attack rolls!
The Sudowoodo wasn't paying much attention to the Pansear but it was hard. Quickly, he could feel a rage overcome the normally relaxed Pokemon and suddenly he only wanted to attack, attack, attack! However before he could do so, his body Flinched horribly making it so he couldn't move at this second!

The taunt seemed to work, but it also looked like a delayed reaction to the focus punch took effect. "Alright, Focus punch again, while it's distracted!"
The Sudowoodo could feel the rage continue to pulse through his body. This wasn't going to turn out well. Unfortunately he began to take a couple steps back, lower his head and charge to hit the Pansear with Headbutt! He wanted to see the Sudowoodo attack? Let's hope he could deal with the consequences!
The Sudowoodo felt the rage ebb away but knew it was only temporary. A wave that would continue during his next attack. Instead he would take the chance to simply stand there. Might as well relax while he could...

Quickly avoiding the attack, it was time to fight back. "Focus punch, once more!" There had to be a way to breach its defenses. Alex closely analyzed Pansear and Sudowoodo as he charged in to throw a punch.
Unfortunately the time to relax didn't last long. The tree Pokemon heaved a disgruntled sigh as he took a step forward. Already the rage was pulsing through his body and he ran towards the Pansear. This time, he was going to hit the fire monkey with Low Kick!

Another failed attack. A fighting type move against a rock type should do increased damage, but if they couldn't damage it at all... "Ok, Pansear, hop back and we'll think of something."

In the Garden of Monsters
Kiani didn't know what Korbin had said, though she could tell he was talking to the numel. However, what she could see was the numel changing targets and rushing at her. Kiani didn't think, instead, she turned and ran, trying to avoid getting hit.
This time, the attack landed on the Pansear. The tree let out a sigh before squatting to relax some more. He didn't even bother going on the defense or attempting to defend. It would seem he simply didn't care in the least.
Pansear got swept off his feet, but rolled back. "Hang in there, Pansear...! Focus punch him and show him your true strength!" The feisty Pansear's eyes narrowed with a smirk, charging in with his small fist clenched.
