Something was eating away at that guys mind. She could hear it in his voice, that small twinge of discomfort. Was it Jacen or was it something else? It didn't matter... this thing needed to be stopped. Her jaw was sore and she felt like she had fractured ribs as she pulled back her sword. The problem with her healing was that it was slowing down as more injuries accumluated.

"Jacen, forgive me," She said not holding back as she rushed Rage. He blocked her shot and they held locked trying to get the other to bend. She dug her back heal into the ground as not to slide back. He was strong and the pressure was building. She took the weight off her back leg and pushed it forward into the stomach of Rage throwing him back, "You see, eventhough Jacen and I fall on different lines, I really respect the guy... and you Rage are just making this way too complicated. He doesn't deserve you taking things over like this and I deserve a better rematch than your punk a**."

"Do you ever shut up?" He rushed her with an added surprise. The energy blade slightly dissipated and some of that energy came at her stomach like a burst. Penny was thrown back into part of the thicket and hit a tree. She rolled onto the ground not expecting that hit. Rage put his boot between her shoulder blades to pin her down while bringing down his blade. Not thinking about it, she quickly grabbed a knife out of her boot and thrusted it upward. It was deflected off of a peice of armor but left a gash in Rage's leg. This took him enough off balance to only gash her arm and give her the ability to get up.

Blood pouring down her arm, her body working on trying to heal it, Penny stood up. She tried to think of anything at all she could say to try to start pulling Jacen forward from the back of this thing's head. In between gashes, blows, blocks, and everything else, she started to speak like Rage didn't exist, "Jacen, I hear the gym was leveled after we got captured. Everybody from your house got out... oh and I think Pietro and Kitty were the winners of the vote... Your sister disappeared..."

"Futile, Ms. Chayse," Rage said backhanding her across her jaw.

She licked the blood that was coming off her lip and punched him back, "Juno to you. You don't get the right to speak my name."

They carried on for at least another thirty or so minutes exchanging attacks. Penny knew she couldn't hold out much longer her body was having a hard time keeping up with her spirit. Her endurance was high, but Rage had all the trimmings of a hell beast.

"Jacen, come on, fight this b*****d," She said gashing him with a short blade. His blood and her own covered her arms. Sweat poured down her head. And then, her luck suddenly went bad. Incorrect footing caused her to slide on some rocks. Rage knocked her weapon out of her hand and she had no more surprises hidden in pockets to spare. She didn't panic and started fighting him with her fists and ducking around his attacks.

He had her cornered and grabbed her fist as she made a cross right, pulling her close, he ran the energy blade through her side. Her body went rigid in shock and her face became ghastly white as she gasped for air.

"Jacen, now would be a great time for you to come back," She choaked out feeling blood coming up into her mouth. She wished she hadn't gotten so far into the woods. Regina wouldn't know to come get her... she needed to get away and heal. The blade was pushed furthur and her upper half fell forward. Her head getting foggy and black her face landed on Rage's shoulder and the smell came over her again like it did several nights before, "Huh... smell... remember prom..."

Don't let me die... not by this hound...

Frost blinked, surprise by the actual physical attack. She leaped from her tree spot in barely enough time to avoid the kick by (freya or the spirit?)

"Now now... let's just play with the elements. I don't like fighting." Frost said, frowning some. Summoning up the snow dragon as she did before, Frost stepped back from Efreet and the other fire person. ~two against one... I think I need assisstance here.~ she thought, hoping hte others would hear.

Porter put Blair inside of one of the motel rooms that the X-Men had fled from, "Be strong, Blair. Fight the deamons in your head."

"One down..." He said mentally groaning with some bruised ribs. He definately needed to get back into the gym after this battle. He grabbed a coat from one of the chairs and let back outside. Things were getting cold and he didn't have one of those nice thermal insulated uniforms that the other kids had on.

Seeing the giant snow dragon form out in the field, Porter opened his comm to Danielle with Freya near by, "Danielle, try to manipulate the water so that her creations can't remain solid. Freya, how closely does your abilities tie into the spirits of living people?"

He reloaded his gun and pulled an energy rifle from the car. Where did Xavier get these cool toys? At least the energy gun stunned people rather than putting a bullet into their back. He found Jamie who was recouperating.

"Morgan, Jamie, Rogue, with me... We have Venom to take care of."

"I take point, though. I can tolerate poison better than you guys can. Jamie, can you provide distractions? Blind her, confuse her, whatever you can do, do it. Rogue, while I keep her busy up front, you get in from behind, sap her energy," Morgan replied, rattling of a semi-decent strategy, or at least, he thought so.

"I will take you there," Xavier wheeled out of the room and led Remy to a back elevator for obvious reasons. The guest quarters were strategically located amid the teacher and student rooms... as a precasionary measure. Not every guest of the Institute was honest and upstanding.

"How are you father and brother, Remy?" It would have been easy enough to jump into Remy's head and find out what his intensions were and why he suddently reappeared in Bayville, but Xavier had a moral conscience. The only fleeting thought he kept getting off of Remy's mind was Rogue. No telepath could ignore that fact.

"So we are both going to play that game," Xavier chuckled and led him out of the elevator, "The one where we try to ask as many questions as we can without really coming out and saying what it is we want."

"'The new team'," He thought, "We actually have not decided if that is what they are yet. Some of one of our training teams have graduated and some of our high school students have turned into very smart mutants. At the moment, they have gone against school policy to seek out Ahab's hounds and bring them home. Of course, I do not know anything about it."

"What brings you back, Remy? I would ask you if you were looking for a change of occupation, but somehow I think that's not the answer," Xavier unlocked one of the guest rooms for him.

The spirit jumped back in front of Freya in an attack stance. Her kick was barely avoided but neither the spirit or Freya were concerned about that. The blond pushed back her long hair in the wind for some dramatic effect. "If it wasn't of this young person here, I would have called an ice spirit to show you that nothing can beat raw elementals. But I hate stealing the spotlight."

Of course, she was bluffing. Mutants like Gen had control over raw elementals. The real combat would be who has the best strategy but Freya didn't want to go there. Too much thinking for her taste. That is why the one next to her will be handy for her crazy plan. "Danielle, it is very important that you know every aspect of your powers because I'm about to make Efreet disappear and you'll be our only defense againts that snow dragon. The girl needs some psychic shock and I know just how to give it to her. Are you ready?"

Gen glared at the blond. "Yes, well, we'll see about that. My snow dragon is going to have a good lunch it seems."

She knew her dragon was strong, as strong as she was if not more. Though the Efreet concerned her, and the one's name that was Dani had control over water. She hoped that her snow wasn't about to become it's first state of water's cycle...
