As Maxwell was waiting for an assistant to FINALLY come down and let him know that Cobblepot was ready to see him, another man walked in with the intent on seeing the Penguin as soon as possible as well.

He was a tall man wearing a finely tailored and costly black suit. His black hair was thick and well trimmed, as well as his beard. A gold watch and gold jeweled rings could be seen on his fingers. One hand was tucked around a briefcase that was held under his arm, and the other was wrapped around a small cell phone he was currently speaking on.

"And you're SURE it was her?" he said as he walked in, his voice deep and commanding. " .... very well. And he's in surgery now, correct? ..... Fine. There should be a small black button in the very bottom right hand corner of the computer. .... No, on the side facing the wall. Right, where no one would look for one." he continued as he ventured farther into the Lounge.

A woman with long red hear and the usual Iceberg Lounge attire finally came walking up to Maxwell's table to address him. "Sorry for the wait, sir. Mister Cobblepot is able to see you now." she said.

"... and the screen is red now, correct? .... Good. Give it another minute. .... Data erased, correct? Good. Now destroy the computer. ..... yes. ..... yes, I don't care how you do it. I don't want anyone to have easy access to the security feed." he said as he walked up to the woman. "I'LL deal with it once I'm able to arrive at the building." he added, then promptly hung up and stuffed the cell phone into his pocket.

Maxwell adjusted his collar and rose to his feet. "It's fine. Though I don't Imagine The reason I'm here is happy." And then He looked toward the front doors where the truck waited beyond. He Then moved tofollow the Red haired woman to the elevator. "I hope Mr. Cobblepot is still as much as a bird enthusiast as I am. Because If he is, He'll love the deal I have for him tonight."

"Oh, he very much is." the woman replied with a smile as she led him towards the elevator. "I'm sure you'll enjoy his office. He has art of all sorts up there. Nothing but birds." she added. It didn't take long for the elevator to reach the bottom floor again. The doors slid open within a matter of seconds, and the woman stepped aside to let the man inside. Once he was in, she stepped in after him and used her access pass to take them up to the top floor. It wouldn't take long to get to the top floor; the building wasn't too terribly tall. It would take even less time to get to the office once they were there. Cobblepot no longer had any guests to take up his time, and there were only a few rooms up there. The... office was rather obvious to find.

Maxwell stepped into the elevator with her and smiled after he had heard her answer. "Very nice. Then I think He'll love the sale I'm here to make. In the Truck Outisde I have a very rare bird of prey who is absolutely remarkable. Never seen anything like him before." Maxwell said as he waited for the elevator to reach the right floor. He would let Her lead the way, as it had been far too long since he'd done Business with Oswald for Maxwell to remember which way to go.

As the elevator doors opened, the woman stepped out and waited for Maxwell to follow behind her. The hallway was large and open, easy to see the few doors that made up the top floor rooms. At the very end of the room was a large, decorative set of oak doors. Then one room on the right wall, then several doors on the left wall. None half as large or decorative as the ones on the far wall.

The woman led the man down the hall, then stopped just outside the doors to open them. Carefully, she walked inside and held the door open for Cobblepots newest visitor.

Inside, the office was large and well decorated just as the assistant had said. The only thing that did not have a bird motif of some sort was the large oak desk on the other end of the room, the large chair that was facing a very large computer system on the back wall.

Maxwell bowed to the woman as she held the door for him. "Thankyou miss." and then he stood by a wall, waiting For cobbled pot to show himself. He knew the man was a timely if ever so slightly theatrical fellow.

The chair facing the large computer system soon swiveled around, revealing a rather short man with a long nose and monocle. Like the bearded man downstairs, he had a cell phone to his ear. Cobblepot promptly snapped it shut though, and slid it into the top right pocket of his jacket. "My apologies for keeping you waiting." he said as he looked up to face his newest guest. "It has been a surprisingly busy few days here. Busiest night of all nights I'm afraid." he said as he motioned towards the chair in front of his desk. "Come, have a seat. What can I do for you on this fine night?"

Maxwell moved to sit down and said, "Thank you. And it's quite alright my Fellow Bird enthusiast. I have come here tonight to sell you a rare bird of prey. The pride of my collection. A bird like no other on this good earth." then he paused for a moment. He reached into his coat and pulled out a disc in a container. "This disc contains video footage of him. I Want to sell him to you, because as a fellow bird lover you'd be able to take proper care of him, and I think he'd be useful for drawing new customers to your fine establishment."

"His name, Is Chanticleer."

Cobblepot paused a moment in thought, then took the disc from Maxwell's hand. "Very well, we shall take a look at what you have brought." he said as he pulled a drawer open from his desk next to him. He pulled out a small, very transportable laptop and placed it on his desk. No offense to his guest or anything, but he simply did not place strange electronics in his main computer. A simple precaution measure for someone in his line of work. Easier to replace a laptop than his main computer system should the disk be corrupt or bugged.

"I'm curious though," he added as he slid the disk into the computer and waited for it to play. "Why you are willing to sell your prized bird to me. Surely you have the means to care for it yourself or take it to a sanctuary." He was certainly having a hard time swallowing the fact that he had just sold HIS prized bird barely moments ago. He certainly couldn't see selling off a pet that he could never enjoy again.

"As I have said. He is unlike any other bird on this good earth. I have tried to breed more like him through him and various female eagles, owls, and condors with no success. As far as I can tell, He is one of a kind, the rarest bird in the world and the largest by far." Maxwell said before sighing. "My main reason for wanting to sell him is that he just plain doesn't like me. He's tried on more than one occasion to get me with his talons. He never liked me from the moment he first saw me. Not entirely sure why."

"A fair enough reason. It doesn't do the bird well to keep him where he's unhappy. Perhaps a change of scenery will do him some good. If not, I'm sure I can train him to use his talons in more constructive ways, at the very least." Cobblepot said as he waited for the disc to begin playing.

"Ah, here we are. Now lets see what we have here."

When the video began to play it showed a an eagle sitting on a perch, then it panned to the right and showed a condor one aseperate perch in another enclosure. Both birds seemed on edge and then as the video continued to pan to the right a massive bird was revealed. It stood on the ground on two powerful looking long sturdy legs, with feet like those of a very large owl. It had a longer than average tail covered in feathers and both lined and tiped with beautiful black flight feathers. The wings were massive, and looked more like those of a giant pterosaur but without a wing membrane, and covered in huge flight feathers. The wings also had a trait very few birds have, an external thumb. Each wing had a thumb with a devestating looking railroad spike of a claw. The bird in the video tood 7ft tall and had a posture more like what one would expect of a predatory dinosaur than a bird; standing in a way not dissimilar to cassowaries, emus, and ostriches. Its neck was long but not too long and his head had a hook tipped beak with serrated sides.

His eyes were large, a bright intense orange, and were almost forward facing despite behind on the sides of his head. His body was covered in a beautiful pattern of black feathers with white underside and markings not unlike those of a penguin. In the video the bird then stood up taller and craned his neck, to stand at full height. Then Maxwell himself came into view in the video and judging from the difference in size between him and the bird, this Chanticleer was 10ft tall when he craned his neck and stood straighter. He was a truly massive bird, resembling almost a cross of modern bird, pterosaur, and velociraptor.

Maxwell stayed quiet as he waited for the video to end and for Oswald reaction.

The video continued to play; showing how large Chanticleer's wingspan was as he decided to spread his wings and fly up to his own perch in a simulated baobab tree. He had to have a wingspan of 30ft at the very least and judging from how easily he took to the air, he had to be a very strong flyer.

Then the video ended.

As Cobblepot watched the video, there was a very visible sense of interest in his expression. His eyes wide with amazement at the sight of such a creature, and his brow furrowed in consentration. As the video ended, the rewound the disk to find a good still frame of the creature, and paused it there. Studying every bit of the bird as he could.

"..... how on earth did you come across such a magnificent creature?" he asked. His voice filled with interest and amazement.

"He was part of an estate sale. His previous owner died in a chemical fire that nearly destroyed the estate and sadly killed several rare creatures; including, supposedly, a fully grown 3 headed albino king cobra. Chanticleer was one of the few surviving animals from his previous owner's collection."

Then Maxwell sighed and took out a picture. He stared at it before placing it on the desk. It showed the burned wreckage of what had been a beautiful mansion.

"From what the police told us, battery acid from the poor man's car burned a hole straight through an oil line in his garage. If the pictures the autioneer showed me were any clue, the house was built of the most luxuriously carved and properly treated red wood. It looked just like bricks, but according to the cops, it burned like pine fat lighter. Took a week to put out he fire."

"Really? Cobblepot replied. "I hadn't heard about that... which is rare for someone with a collection as you had described." he said, then sighed a bit and looked back down at the computer. "Suppose I have been abnormally busy lately."

He took another good look at the bird creature on his screen and puzzled for a moment in thought. "I do believe I can care for your pet though. We'll have to keep him downstairs for the time being... until better arrangements can be made to house him. It will also take a bit, I imagine, for him to adjust to new surroundings and new handlers. The lower level of the Lounge is the only place here that I can hold him. We could take him up to the very top floor of the building, but I am not sure he would enjoy a cramped elevator with handlers all the way to the top. Basement is easier to access, and has a wider space for him."
