"Sure thing! Thought you'd never ask. I'm sure Freya will find me when she's ready to continue our training." Trinity was curios to see why she hadn't seen her friend all day practically. Heck the most she saw of her today was from this morning when they were almost kidnapped.

A moment later Gidget opens the large door to her own personal corner of the R&D department. Signs that she had been hard at work a littered all over the place. Nuts, bolts, tools, scraps of metal, a strange looking contraption sitting on a table that was on fire...
"AHH!" Gidget cries out and runs to a fire extinguisher on the wall. She hurries over to her flaming invention and douses it with the flame retardant foam. After the flames die down and the smoke starts to rise, she huffs and places the extinguisher down on the floor.
She turns and faces her friends, laughing nervously. "Heh heh, Sorry about that. Ugh, how embarrassing. Okay, stop looking at the burning thing and follow me over here."
Gidget leads them over to something that is nearly six feet tall and covered in a tarp. She throws off the cover to reveal a rebuilt mechanical suit. To Tansy and Ako it may look similar to the robot that sacrificed itself to destroy Charles Ray's "foundry." In comparison to the previous one it is a bit more slim; built to exhibit a more feminine shape.
Gidget stands next to it proudly and grins, "I call it Valkyrie Mk.2. It's equipped with various incapacitating, yet non-lethal, offensive weapons. It's capable of lifting something the weight of an average four door sedan. Rocket propulsion in both the feet and back, grappling line, various hacking tools, and powered by yours truly. Only I can use it, thanks to the port I installed in myself. So there is no need to worry about it falling into the wrong hands."
She pats the arms with pride and clears her throat. "Pretty sweet huh?"

Trinity looks around the R&D department and saw the different projects that were being worked on. Some things were not really clear what their purposes were but there were a few that she could guess what it was for. She watched as Gidget took care of the fire. Then listened to Gidget's presentation and could appreciate the aesthetic of the mechanical body,"Wow it looks impressive."

"you actually like... Hook up to this thing?" Tansy frowned somewhat. "It's... Cool and all, but isn't that dangerous?" she bit onto her bottom lip in concern. "I mean, it's plausible that we would run into something with mind control..."

Gidget holds up a finger and grins. "Already taken care of. I thought about that as I was modifying the suit. I could write in multiple security protocols to ensure that only I would be able to use it: retinal scan, voice recognition, and even DNA. However these things wouldn't do anything against someone who could control another person.
So in addition to allowing me direct control of the suit, this port is also enabled with a psychic dampener. It creates a scrambling signal for psychics. And even if someone were able to power through that, access to the suit requires that I want to do it. An outside influence would register during connection and halt the process. Hacking is also an impossibility. This suit runs on no power but my own."

"Wow...." She laughed softly. "You've thought of it all haven't you?" She smiled at the young girl and looked to Ako. He seemed... off... somehow. She sighed softly and turned to Gigdet and Trinity. "So, have you tried it out yet?"

Despite what Gidget said, Ako looked at the burning thing until Gidget brought his attention to the power suit. Memories came back through his mind, taking him back to the foundry for a moment. Back to the robot that helped them save Gidget from a horrible future. Even if it was just a machine, built by the girl herself, he still felt bad about it's fate. He didn't hear half of the features Gidget mentioned, even though he would normally drool over them.

Gidget shakes her head in regards to Tansy's question. "I haven't tested this model yet. There is one more feature on here that needs to be checked out before I can call this done. For this I will need your help Ako."
She lays her hand on the machine and it opens up to reveal a test dummy within it. "In preparation for fighting Cortez I've created a PoNeg field generator. According to my head, should Cortez try to blast me with electricity, the field will match the polarity of his lighting. Which in theory should cancel it out before it reaches me."
She moves over to a desk with a computer. Her hands dance across the keyboards and the suit comes to life. It closes itself and there is an audible hum coming from it. "Ako, could you please attack the MkII. Don't hold back, I need this to be able to withstand a deathblow."

Gidget's request definitely got Ako's attention. He looked at her with a bit of disbelief. "I don't know, Gidget. I uh, don't know if I can right now. I'm still kind of, uh, tired." He said, his right hand unconsciously moving to cover the bandage on his other arm. Was she really asking him to use his full power? What if he hurt someone again? He wouldn't be able to live with himself.

Gidget slaps her forehead, "Oh wow I'm so sorry. I totally forgot that you have been sedated for a while. Okay, tell you what...everyone move over there behind the blast walls. Except you Ako. I've made another Tesla cannon for you. It's smaller and actually enhances your power exponentially with very little required of you. It actually has a built in Jacob's ladder. It's over there on the table beside the MkII. It works just the same as the last one. Give us a moment to find some cover, and then just put whatever you can manage into it. I really hate to ask this of you, but you haven't seen what this guy can do. I need to make sure we're ready."

"I'm sorry, Gidget, but I just don't think that's a good idea right now." Ako said, trying to keep a shake out of his voice, trying to keep it even. Gidget's offer of a Tesla cannon didn't help his worries. The last time he'd used one he'd put a hole through a ceiling, and now she was offering something more powerful? Would a blast wall really protect from that? "I just really don't want to." He muttered, taking a step back.

Trinity notices his hesitation. "Are you sure about this Gidget? He doesn't seem to want to do it. Perhaps he still needs some rest. What if he looses concentration due to lack of sleep?"

Tansy watched Ako silently. She let go of his hand, only to place that hand on his shoulder. She smiled at him trying to make him feel somewhat better before she turned to the others. "Hey Gigde, you should really let him rest." She smiled softly to the young girl. "This has been a lot to take in today, and besides that..." Her eyes turned dark and any trace of a smile disappeared from her face. "You don't know what we went through at that hospital." Her voice just as soft as Ako's. "Maybe if you could just let him rest for an hour or so, get some food in his system.... Maybe, we could try again after that?" The last part of the sentence was directed to the man of the group.

Gidget can feel her face turn red. Why don't any of them understand how important this is? How little time there may be before he decides to attack something even worse than a hospital? That they would delay the time it takes to catch the man that hurt her brother and so many others for something like lunch.
She throws her hand up, shouting, "What's wrong with all of you? Tansy, Ako, this guy is nothing like Charles Ray. He is a maniac looking to destroy everything that he sees as insignificant. He's a crazed gunman, not a sleazy businessman. The longer we wait to stop him, the more people are going to get hurt. This suit may be the only thing that can stop him after the enhancements he's made to himself. You saw what he was like at your house Trinity, he's even more powerful than he was yesterday. If this suit can't withstand the force of a bolt of lightning, then we are all screwed.
And as far as what happened to you at the hospital, did you have probes shoved into your brain? Were you sedated and force fed through tubes so you could have your mind driven to create weapons of death and destruction? Did you have to put the personality of your father into a machine just to make it all stop, only to have it blow itself up to save you?"
With that her eyes well up with tears and she begins to weep. She falls to her knees with her hands covering her face.

Tansy felt herself break down. She felt like she was tearing apart. She wanted to help Ako, but... What if Gigdet was right? And to see the poor girl in tears.... Tansy had to hold back her own. She wasn't sure what had gotten into either of them, hell, she wasn't sure what was wrong with herself, but she couldn't handle it. She just couldn't. Closing her eyes and holding her breath, she wished she wasn't there. That they were back at the hotel before that dinner with Charles Ray. Before any of this had happened. She wished she was at home with her little sister. She wished none of this had happened. Her hand dropped from Ako's shoulder as she dug her nails into her palms. She wished with all of her might.
But no matter how hard she wished.... none of it could come true. None of it. Tansy let out her breath, feeling defeated. It felt horrible. She wrapped her arms around herself, her eyes wide, staring at nothing. She began to whisper to herself softly in Polish, refusing to open her eyes. She felt like Dorthy. And all she wanted was a pair of ruby red slippers to bring her home again....
