Mitsuko stepped out dressed in full alliance regalia, kind of self-concsious but with a false sense of pride. A great struggle is probably to come, and she must go meet it in person. A phoenix of ice burst from the mist and she hopped on, sailing towards the alliance base.

He walked along the edge of town. The chakras had shifted since he last encountered a foe. He could feel the bubbling of energy coming from every direction; not just the small pinpoints of power around the nation he felt so long ago. He knew he could now resume his training. Other's had surpassed him but Suoh had the genius of the Mizu clan on his side. Adjusting his visor, he remembered his way of the ninja. His fight began to save his own parents and now it was to live the life they never had the opportunity to live in their enslavement.

Suoh saw this man on the bench out of the corner of his eye and felt drawn to him. He instinctively could tell he was a Mizu. He headed over in that general direction making sure he could feel the weight of shuriken in his pocket just in case a moment came for them.

"Do I know you," he called out several feet from the man on the bench.

"My name is Suoh. Do you live in this village as well? I haven't been around these parts for quite some time," Suoh explained.

He couldn't really remember all the places he had gone and the people he had met but he knew his country was grateful for his service. Suoh had been the first from the Hidden Mist to scout the clans that existed in Hidden Nano and Hidden Star.

Looking at this new man he could tell very little even with his travel experience. His chakras were powerful and diverse. There were even nuances of power Suoh had never encountered before.

Suoh knew he would be taking a risk by fighting someone so strong for his first fight in a long time. Suoh knew in a bad situation Deity was on his side but he wasn't even sure if he could muster enough chakra to summon him on his first try.

"Lets go a little ways out of town where there is more water and less people. That should be better for both of us," Suoh conjectured pointing toward the north. There was a small lake there he used to train at when he first became a genin under Zabuza and Suoh's own cousin Haku.

Suoh ran the short distance to the tree line and darted through the trees toward the lake knowing Axel would follow behind him. Suoh hoped by getting there a moment sooner he could calculate some plan using the surrounding shrubbery and water.

Suoh heard his foe call the start of the battle. He realized the mirrors must operate on the same train of thought that his own demonic ice mirrors do; by allowing the user to practically teleport through a stream of chakra between each surface.

Suoh was ready for the defensive. His hand flew instinctively through the chakra symbols for the Hidden in Mist technique. As the mist enveloped him he started plotting his next move. His techinique was a basic one but it would allow him to gauge his opponents power by potentially avoiding the first strike.

He crouched low to the ground to avoid being an obvious shadow in the mist. He had already pulled out a long silvery needle that he clenched in each hand. He doubted his ability to get in close enough to hit the proper nerves but he would remain prepared for any opening.

Suoh could hear the light swish of the senbon as they cut through the thick mist. He leapt back a little to dodge the first but he didn't expect another to be heading for the spot he jumped to. Still squatting low he rolled onto his back avoiding a direct hit to his vital organs but taking a small slice across the exposed skin next tot he end of his clavicle on his shoulder. He had already made his first mistake - his opponent would be tipped off on his location due to the blood scent. This meant at least for now he couldn't use his clone technique.

He would have to go on the offensive. Suoh rolled off his back, landing on his feet. He slammed his fists hard into the ground. His eye traced the ground toward one of the mirrors. Just behind it the earth gave a small shiver before flipping up behind the mirror. He had managed to use Earth Wall Land Flip farther away then he ever had before. The earth hit the back of the mirror with a heavy thud. Suoh heard the sickening crack but he couldn't tell with the mist still heavy on the battlefield how much damage it had done.
