Faye crouched down, her eyes stuck to the soft yarn that was being used. She watched in fascination as the row fell apart and was slowly being worked back to it's proper place.

"What are you making?" The pale girl asked, gently biting her lower lip.

Megan blinked, her hands still working as she finished the row, then held it up. "A scarf. It's just about the only thing I can make with knitting. At least, at the moment. I'm still learning." He rested the rest of the scarf back down and pulled another color of yarn, a darker blue-green, out of the back and began to work it in, beginning another row.

Faye smiled as she watched the color being mixed in with the scarf. "It's very pretty, do you mind if I watch you?"

Megan couldn't help but smile. "Thank you. And not at all." She picked up her bag, moving it over to her other side in case Faye wanted to sit on the blanket, before continuing with her scarf making, holding it up a moment to check it before beginning another row. "I'm Megan Bellange, by the way."

Faye made herself comfortable on the blanket, watching the scarf curiously. "I'm Faye. I don't think my family has last names..." The pale one blinked a few times as if curious about this fact and then shrugged. "Have you been knitting long? Tonight I mean?"

"Nice to meet you. And interesting." Megan wove a few more green parts in, watching her progress on 'blending' the colors. "And no, I've only been here...twenty minutes or so. That's not very long for me. But I needed to get out of my house rather desperatly." She sighed. "My brother and sister were playing DDR, loudly, and both were hyped up on chocolate."

Faye blinked in confusion and folded her parasol, setting it beside her in the sand. "Dee dee are? What is that?"

A tiny blush reached her cheeks when she realized that she probably sounded like an idiot for not knowing something that was probably going to be commonplace elsewhere.

"It's a dancing game...sort of. There are arrows on the screen, and you have to hit the arrows on the controller at the right time, and it's to a beat." Megan said, without looking up. "It was just getting popular at my old town. I must admit most of my family is addicted." She shook her head. "It's fun, but I'm not going to play for seven hours straight."

Faye listened to her as she unlaced her boots and shuffled them off her feet. As it was explained she stretched her toes in the sand and wiggled them in the grains, reveling in the feeling of earth right beneath her. It wasn't moist soil like she prefered or even dewy grass on a moonlit night, but sand had it's own charm and appeal if you looked for it. Just had to be careful if there were any crabs nearby...

"It sounds interesting. Maybe I should go to the arcade sometime and try it." Faye mused. "Then is this what you do while the others dance? Knit and... what's the other called... crockete?"

"For the most part." Megan pulled out another row to restart it, frowned slightly. "Either that or hide in my room and read. Or sew." Megan nodded, re-doing the row before holding up the scarf. "Almost done." She pulled another color, white, and used it sparingly, beginning to make a heartlike shape on the corner of it.

"Do you like needle point? I sometimes do that... for pillows for the kids. It's kind of fun... a little hard on the fingers though if I'm missing thimbles." Faye smiled a bit and brought a hand up to cover it.

"On occasion." Megan tilted her head slighlty. "Kids?"

Faye nodded and burried her feet a bit further in the sand, looking down to make sure her toes weren't poking out. "Yeah, I live with my family. Extended family and all, there's lots of people and lots of kids... and then there's my father who acts like he's a child himself."

Somewhere deep in the forest, a werewolf sneezes.

"I see." Megan blinked, then looked down at her scarf. "But I surpose it can be nice to be around your family sometimes...Sometimes." She said again, shaking her head, smiling a little as she finished off the white heart amove the blue and green.

Faye smiled a bit more and leaned over, bumping her shoulder with Megan's. "Hey, why do you think I'm out here?"
