Jack mummbled to himself and leaned against the cave wall, Stubborn... Jack knew Sayid would calm her down, and decided to drop the issue in his head. He glanced back at Sun and saw her sleeping, she didn't have a blanket on and was most likely cold. He walked over, placed a nearby blanket over her, and sat down in front of her.

Sun woke up as she felt something drift over her skin. She opened her eyes to see Jack sitting beside her. She sat up and smiled, wrapping the blanket around her shoulders.
"Hey," she whispered.
Sun yawned slightly and smiled again.

Jack smiled, "Hey..." He glanced over at the cave entrance, someone had pulled the tarp back to reveal a light downpour, "I think the storm has really let up now..."

Sun glanced outside and smiled. It really was getting lighter.
"Hopefully it is not just the eye of the storm. If it is then it will only be worse when the eye passes over us and the storm returns," Sun surmised.
She moved closer to Jack and leaned against him, resting her head on his shoulder.

Jack raised a brow, he didn't consider that it might be the eye of the storm, he shook his head and grinned. "No I think the worst is finally over." He rested his head on hers.

Sun was glad to hear the optimism lining Jack's words. She smiled slightly and discreetly wrapped her arms around his waist.
"I hope you are right," she said lightly.

It was later than Sayid had wanted when he awoke the next morning, so he was quick in getting ready, though quiet so as not to wake Shannon. She needs all the rest she can get... he grabbed a few tools from beside the fire, and double checked to make sure there was enough food for her breakfast before giving her a quick peck on the forhead and heading towards the woods.
It wasn't hard for him to find a place to start work, after all no place was better than the other as far as he was concerned. All he needed was relatively flat ground and plenty of wood to work with. If a hut would make Shannon happy, he could offer no less. Besides, the lack of physical work to do around the isladn lately was maddening, and helping Michael and Jin was not an option, the two would drive him crazy before lack of activity got to him.
He took a quick drink from on the bottles he had brought with him and pulled a small (very small) hand saw from his bag. Thank god there was a carpenter travelling on the plane...he looked at the instrument and sighed. This was going to take a very long while.

Claire was sitting against the wall of the back of the caves. She was carefully holding Leslie who had finaly fallen asleep. The past few days had been so long and boring. For she had not seen Boone alot and she missed him so much. She sighed and moved her blond hair behind her shoulders with her free hand.

Shannon rolled over in a state of half sleep and reached for Sayid. when she found nothing, she stirred again, raising her head an inch from the ground and opening one eye to peer at the empty space beside her. Well, truthfully it wasn't empty. There was a small bunch of fruit and a bottle of water. For a moment Sayid's diappearance was secondary as she realized when it was that she hadn't really eaten in a while. She scrambled ungracefully beneath the blanket so that she was sitting and reached for the proffered food before letting her gaze settle on her surroundings. He wasn't there.
She did however notice another bottle at the foot of her 'bed' and reached for it. It was more of the tea Sun had made for her nausea. Shannon quickly swallowed a few mouthfulls and then set to work with the fruit.
Michael passed by with some empty water bottles and she called out to him. "Hey...um do you know where Sayid went?" She asked. They hadn't really spoken and he seemed surprised.
"I saw him heading out into the jungle with some tools a little while ago." He gestured vaguely to the left.
"Okay...thanks." She chewed the sweet rind of some one of the many fruit that had looked appealing and thought quietly for a moment. Then a grin lit her features. She saved a few of the fruit and got to her feet.
After having changed behind the 'hospital' tarp, she sought out Locke and borrowed a knife and then grabbed the remaining fruit and searched the came for any other source of sustinance. She managed to get some roasted fish from Hurley and a scrap or two of dried boar. This was going to be great. The last thing she took before leaving the safety of the caves were a few water bottles and Sun's tea.

He heard the footsteps approaching, and though he gripped the saw tighter, Sayid didn't turn to see who it was. Chances were it was Locke or Michael, or someone searching for tools. Tomorrow he would ask Michael for some help planning and sizing everything, the smallest inaccuracy could mean a roof falling in on Shannon and her unborn child. He smiled despite himself at the strange notion. Death by roof squishing.
The footsteps became more profound, and he stopped the motion of the saw and turned to face the unidentified partie.
"Hey Sailor." Shannon apporached him, a cloth bag over her shoulder and a sway in her hips. She was obviously of a better humour than the pervious night, and some colour had returned to her cheeks.
"Hello." He smiled, eyeing her up and down for a moment before dropping the saw as she drew nearer. He reached for her bag, to relieve the small but still burdonsome weight, but she shifted her weight at the last moment, pulling it only slightly out of his reach and pressing her lips to his in a soft lingering kiss. He smiled into her mouth and reached around to encircle her waist, always surprised at how easy it was for him to do that.
"Enjoy it while you can." She laughed, as if reading his mind. "Pretty soon I'm going to be a blimp."
"I think I can live with that." He smiled, pulling her down onto the ground beside him and wrapping an arm over her shoulders, pulling her closer. "You're feeling better I hope? Sun said the acid in the citrus would help neutralize the acids from the nausia in your stomach. I know morning are bad..."
"I'm feeling fine actually." She muttered into his shoulder, pointing at the bag a few feet away. "I even brought us some brunch."

"Brunch? I'm flattered." He said with a smile. Shannon nodded.
"But it's not ready yet so work away my big strong provider and I'll make us something to eat."
"Make?" Sayid said with good humour, raising an eyebrow.
"Well...I'll prepare us something to eat." She corrected herself, something she usually didn't do. "Now get to work, I want me a house by sundown."
"You have terrible grammar." Sayid chided her softly, tilting her face up to his, so that their eyes met. She grinned as though endulging a child.
"It's just a figure of speech." She laughed and then ducked out of the embrace. Sayid seemed confused at the answer but smiled as she bent over the bag and began to remove small containers. She was deliberately wearing a skirt that rode up, enticingly up to reveal the back of her thighs. She swayed softly as she unpacked, humming all the while.
"In that case...I want me some Shannon." Sayid said with grin. Shannon's laughter filled the clearing and she stood upright.
"I think I hear water." It wasn't what she had intended to say but it was what came out. " Yeah...listen. I bed there's a pool around here somewhere...or a waterfall or something. We could go for a bath...I happen to have brought shampoo..." That was only because she'd forgotten to take it out of the bag in the first place. "We can smell like Apricot Utopia."
I highly doubt I will find Uptopia in an apricot."

Heather choped more bamboo down when Mitchal came up and asked for the ax back. She was the one doing the borowing. And for now she had enough bamboo to get things started with the flooring. "Thanks for letting me borrow it."

Jack chuckled and waved his hand, "Don't worry about me I am fine!" Jack coughed and stood up, "I think we should go check on your garden now..."
