Hebal cheered happy to know she would be getting ice cream afterall "The sounds of the rides are uncomfortably loud but... considering I make armour and stuff, with all the clanging I make and stuff I'm probably more tolerant of loud mehcnaical noises than most viera" she shrugged watching the queue expand suddenly for the ice cream.
Alpha raised his eyebrow slowly moving his hand forward to pet Merric, unsure about how comfortable the chicibo was with his demon form "Some people scare very easily but considering all you've beenn through with that forest full of fiends it's not so bad. But what about Merric, did he do ok in the dark on the ride. Surprised he was let on since you can't exactly strap him in"
Amane smiled and shook her head "Oh no Merric was great and didn't mind the ride at all. Guess he's going to be a fearless little chocobo when big. He also loved it when the ride splashed us with water hehe"

Satoshi nodded with a laugh "Yep there will be lots of kids in costume, so if one roars at you, be sure to roar back, it's uaually what they want you to do... or give them candy but roaring is better for you as it doesn't drain your wallet so much but please don't go bringing out the photo album"
Yuudai scratched his chin for a moment "The city of Kunec you say, with the gria... not seen one of those flying about in years. They aren't exacly the most socible of creatures but I guess the moogles are more their friends. Yeah they don't like around here and from what I hear, they don't even celebrate the dragon festival and have some alternative thing at a different time of year"
Feliina laughed and rubbed Cid behind the ears "you're a goood boy. Sorry dear but I feed and bathe him so I'm always going to be the one he sides with" she teased feeding her pet with a baby carrot. Would take a combination of magic and machinery to make a place underwater. Though I bet the gria and the moogles might know a way"

Gil smiled "Sure I'll roar back as best as I can though that surprises me about the Gria. I'd have thought they of all people would love to celebrate dragons" he said finishing his soup and petting a happy Enkidu.
Oassu sighed "Well I play with him plenty, I feel so betrayed" he shrugged "Still sure we could manage if we put our hearts into our little retreat wouldn't you say?" he said as they arrived at the large door into the palace "Why does the palace need such large doors, the height of this one is at least 3 times the height of Elorin himself" he sighed
Zadina watched as Merric shuffled uncomfortably away from Alpha's warm hand emitting a small kweh in the process "Well maybe not totally fearless" he snickered "Though he was a very good little chocobo and he even got to meet a big red chocobo friend so he had a very good day" he said

Amane snickered petting Merric to keep him from making more noise "Sorry Alpha, he'll probably get more used to you with time but you demons... your just a little bit intimidating sometimes even when you don't mean to be because of your size and sharp claws and teeth. But yeah we saw a big red chocobo and some person who told us about my future. Said something about how I'm going to be an awesome summoner" she added cheerully.
Hebal smiled managing to hold back a small laugh "well thats not really a very skillful thing to predict. Anyone can see that you have what it takes to be an epic summoner one day. But maybe he just doesn't like warm weather all that much and you have really warm hands" she suggested as an alternative to Alpha.
Alpha shurgged removing his hand from Merric's sight seeing his discomfort "Probably, I could scare any kind of baby once with an appearence like mine" he chuckled picking up his tail while he waited and picked off what appeared to be a small scorpion.

Satoshi shrugged "Well sure they will celebrate something, just according to their own religion and culture so probably have an identical ish day at a completely different time of the year and they might celebrate with a big contest at Kunec arena" she suggested.
Yuki nodded listening for a moment to the rest of the conversation "Ikara wants to know by the way if theres anything you would like to ask us since right now it probably feels like is us who are going to be doing all the questionning" she translated starting to collect up some of the empty bowls.
Felina "Sure why not though progress might be slower than planned. but on the bright side dear, technology gets better and cheaper and a lot of advances can be made in over 1000 years. Like when I was born, the airship was just a fancy design dreamed up by what people thought was a crazy lunatic" she optimistically added taking a quick look at the doors "Well we came from trees didn't we? Once upon a time we would have been that big"

Gil shook his head "Oh it's no trouble talking to folks and answering your questions normally my only company is Enkidu in my travels so it's nice to have some people to talk to occasionally though I will have to get back to my quest at some point" he said.
Oassu's eyes widened "The palace is really that old? Eh well that's nuts, I forget how old you can be, to think the one we have right now is a special dwarf one is pretty cool and old too though Alpha's put nice effort in to renovate and modernise it" he said
Zadina shivered slightly seeing the little scorpion "That thing doesn't look friendly" he said checking his own clothes briefly to check there was nothing on him "Though that probably is it captain he's probably just not fond of such warm hands but I'm sure he's fine with you normally" he said pulling out some Chocotreats for Merric and feeding him some.

Alpha snickered seeing Zadina's reaction "hey, relax there. It's just a scorpion and one that isn't poisonous at that so the worst you'll ever get is a little n** here and there but nothing serious" he assured him flicking the scorpion away.
Amane tulted her head examining the creature "Well I don't know what that thing is... kinda like a crab and a big mixed together, but your right it looks mean and that weird pointy looking tail looks like a weapon" she agreed glad that it was gone "Oh well bet its not as bad as those pesky mosquitos in our forest"
Hebal nodded starting to bounce about impatient to go inside "Yeah those mosquitos make you go all itchy and red but thats why you look after their fur, they aren't very good at stinging through it" she smiled pulling a face as the scorpion while it scurries past her.

"Must be nice tagging along with Nadira then though hopefully she hasn't been dragging you into too much trouble. Or awkward ninja tasks or kicked out of a bar for drinking too much dancing on the tables or even setting your tent on fire" Yuki teased getting up from the table "Right I'll be back in a moment with your main" she snickered.
Satoshi rolled her eyes "Those were one off occasions. And the tent thing, I was still a rookie ninja and it was very windy that day and its not like the tent burned down. As for the dancing it was only a little fun" she quietly mumbled.
Felina nodded quietly laughing at Oassu's reaction "Well yes, the palace is millions of years old. It's been around longer but nobody knows how long for sure and most elves would be very upset if it were modernised" she explained as another set of guards opened the doors for them. "But on the airship topic yeah Alpha made it up all nice though I think painting it wasn't the best idea"

Gil blinked surprised "Table dancing?" he muttered quietly confused "Well I'm sure it was just an acciden though sure sounds like a funny little story of when you were a kid" he chuckled stopping Enkidu from following Yuki into the kitchen smelling more food in there.
Oassu sighed going through the doors "Well why not it was all bronze and black before it doesn't look that bad now it's painted does it? or did you like the old rustic look it had?" he asked "Must've been a crazy dwarf to build an airship considering how they live inside mountains." he muttered.
Zadina smiled "It's like you've got a natural protection against it though you have me wondering what Viera look like under their fur now, whether they just look like humans or elves with big tall bunny ears or something else" he pondered as Jeckhart returned and handed Hebal an Ice cream with a chocolate flake in it.

Hebal grinned giving the ice cream a curious sniff first "Well I don't know what that red source is meant to be but it smells quite nice and a little like strawberry" she stated breaking the flake in half and giving the pieces to Zadina and Amane "Thanks for the ice cream Jeckhart and I think we're all ready to get in now" she added not realising she alreadt got ice cream on her nose.
Amane giggled nibbling away at the flake bit by bit "Well this part is nice if not cold. But I guess we look exactly the same as we do now except that we would have rather tan or pink skin instead of fur showing though it's not really pleasent to think of" she mumbled between nibbles.

Yuudai snickered and nodded his head "Sure was, she used to look up how to perform jutsu way above her own ability level when younger so when it did have some sucess it usually backfired in some manner or another like the tent on fire as a perfect example. And that one in particular was out of lazyness" he recalled.
Satoshi sighed "I'll tell you about the dancing thing another time. It's not as bad as people would probably think coming from my mums mouth" she whispered ignoring her brothers puppy hanging around her feet hoping for extra food.
Felina nodded "Yeah, I think that old rustic look suited that airship and that to respect the designed we should have maybe kept it as close to its original shape as possible. Though I will admit the inside is a whole lot comfier to sit around in and thats clearly been updated many times"

Gil sighed leaning under the table and feeding the puppy a small dog treat while Enkidu looked on disdainfully "Well it's nice to know you were really trying to test the limit of your abilities, so long as no one really got hurt badly I guess" he said "though really your teacher should have taken better care of you so such things didn't happen" he added
Oassu smiled "Well it's Alpha's present if you want one like it I'm sure you could harass your father for an old one though elves aren't exactly known for their feats of Engineering and design" he said sighing happily as the warmth of the palace fires welcomed them once inside.
Zadina giggled "Thanks Miss Hebal" he said finishing his half in one "Though you'd totally look the same as me or a human if that was the case though we both kinda stick out here with all the bangaa going about this place" he said turning to Alpha "Lead on Captain!" he said brightly

Alpha laughed shaking his head "Well if you feel like you stick out a bit just think about how I feel most of the time in this form. You just get used to it and if you settle in one place the people will eventually stop caring anyway and the rest your never going to see again so its all good, anyway follow me" he smiled taking them to the enterence and handing over his tickets to a member of staff to check.
Amane paused rubbing her ears "I suppose so but.. we look different anyway. I mean I don't know for sure you elves or people dont hide weird things under your clothes but our hands and feet are completely different so it would so be obvious we were viera" she answered feeling clever giggling at Hebal dancing on the spot impatiently earning a curious glance from the ticket lady.

Satoshi hesitated looking down at Ikota yapping happily by Gil's feet while eating his treat "Yeah well, my teacher could have done a lot of things differently to have made my and Ranmaru's lives easier. Turned out to be a total basterd in the end but lets not go down that route...." she trailed off noy wanting to take the subject in that direction. "Sooo have you ever hunted deer before? The one your about to eat is pretty small but is known for its taste. Exporting meats like that makes us a fortune here" she quickly translated for Ikara who had chosen to cut in sensing her discomfort with whatever was being discussed previously.
Felina smiled back stopping at the first staircase they stumbled into "So do you want to go straight to my parents or just relax a little upstairs first? But dad could always just buy an airship from elsewhere if he wanted one even if we aren't the best enginners. But what we are good at for example...." she paused checking for other guards around before taking Oassu over to a small Alcove behind the stairs, "Is our architecture and love of secrets. Ever wondered why theres barely any servants, they tend to travel around little tunnels like this one..." she whispered before muttering a few words in elven causing a small hole to open up revealing a long corridor"
