Just finished the first Horus Heresy books, and liked it a ton. It really embodied the tragedy of how the Imperium went off-track, IMHO.

If it is of any consolation, I'm six books behind in the Heresy saga myself. Some day I will pick up the slack again, when I can bring myself to it.

Yeah, I was rather boggled to find out there were 15 books in the series, to date. sweatdrop I'll get there.

It has already taken me a long time to finish all of the Horus Heresy novels and the Garro audio dramas.

I have had to re-buy the first ten or so books, because I donated them to a local library. I went back a few weeks later and they had them on the bargain books rack for $0.50 apiece. They cost me about $10.00 apiece. I was pissed. They were brand new books that I had kept in mint condition.

I picked up Dead men Walking and Horus Rising at value village for next to nothing.
Also, after reading The Founding (the first Gaunt's Ghosts's Ominbus) I've decided Trooper Bragg is ATLEAST 43.72% Ogyrn. If not more so.
