I feel your pain. I recently played at a "Kiddie Concert" for the little 5th graders. It was supposed to be a joint effort between the band and the orchestra, but it totally wasn't. D:< The amount of band people were outnumbered 6:1 because they had our school's orchestra AND a nearby one there. And then two of each instrument for the band, which was, like.. 14 people. AND the orchestra played more songs than the band. And had several orchestra-only songs. It was supposed to be a recruitment thing. Ugh. D:< *disgusted*

omg Kiddie Concerts suck x___x I'm sitting right on the outside of the band nearest to the kids and they're so close I could bend over and bop em' on the head. xD
well that sucks. you guys have a small band! yeah, we went to the grade school for recruiting too, thank god we didn't go with our orchestra xD

No no, that's not our entire band... that's just how many people could sign up. The orchestra directors just wanted to make it LOOK like the band was small and less popular than the orchestra. Really, it's the BAND who out numbers them 6:1! They totally twisted and warped everything to glorify the orchs. I mean, they had to combine TWO SCHOOLS to equal the number of ONE of our bands. And they stuck the band people in the far back, surrounded at three sides by the orchestra. D:< The injustice of it all! *shakes fist*
