gasp! another eighth grader! WHOOT!!! XD
i've been playing for only two years...so now I feel left out
emo I had lessons all summer  ^^ it was fun though!!
><; now I must go back to my evil homework!
Why do you feel left out? That's like saying you feel left out when you're on a battlefield and everyone else is dead! You should feel happy because you got into the music program, other people have never experienced the joy of music/squeaking their heads off/managing to chew gum or eat candy while playing without killing the instrument.
Speaking of candy, today I brought[bootlegged] fruit snacks into band. I shared them with the whole back row of clarinets, which was Chelsey D, Chelsey G, me(Sarah, if you didn't know my actual name), Tara, Shawnda, Marissa?, and Maura?. That is like the pinnicle of guilty pleasure.
Today my German teacher was talking about the foreign exchange program. She knows boys (I think her son is one of them) that went to Germany for some of their college years and they liked it so much that they decided to stay. I want to be a foreign exchange student someday. And maybe pick up a third language. Maybe Japanese or Spanish.
Our school district has now employed a new "Wellness Policy." They're now serving only what they consider healthy food in the cafeteria. The teachers aren't allowed to give candy as rewards. But they're allowed to give us carrot cake, zuccini bread, yogurt, or fruits and veggies instead. Only a couple rooms in the school have refrigerators: teachers lounge, cooking class, and cafeteria. Cooking classes aren't even allowed to make anything with sugar in it. Teachers and students aren't allowed to sell any type of candy. I always got most of my band candy bar sales from school. The teacher who is also a sports coach sells it to benifit the athletic programs. they aren't allowed to do that any more.
evil mad scream gonk Sorry for the semi-rant, but I'm not happy about it and I'm thinking of bootlegging candy into school and selling it anyway.
Oh, and about the wellness policy...it's not going to change our eating habits. Kids are just going to go home and eat junk anyway. At our age, it's pretty much too late to change our eating habits, especially when we resist.
