Akira moved through the gates silently. He had a bag slung over hsi shoulder, holding bits of clothing and other needs. He had just gotten to the school and was alreay beginning to regret leaving home. Then he thought of home. How the people hated him there for his "Gift." Although now it seemed more like a curse to him.

Lynea twirled around like a whirling dervish, bowing theatrically. "Beep-beep, I'm Lynea Morgenson. Pleasure." It was her turn now to inspect the other girl's clothes- a respected, worldwide highschool ritual. What Malla was wearing- her name rolled off the tongue so easily- it looked like an African hunter's skins. The kind of skins to be hung on walls, to lay as carpets in the New York penthouses of fat, bald, impotent politicians. Prized fur. Lynea thought they looked good on her- they looked natural. She didn't have the taste for the style, but she liked how Malla carried it. It reminded her of Madonna's "Vogue."
Flash, take a shot for the camera!
Vogue.
And Ah'm a modelll, you knoooow what ah mean, and ah shake mah little tush, on the catwalk...
"On the catwalk!"
This was going to be an interesting relationship.
She gave Malla's paperwork to Lillith, who promptly (and irritatingly) processed it. "Welcome to Ria High, both of you." she said, and then let them be. Lynea smiled. The plague of heaving stacks of paperwork was behind them- that is, unless they had classes at some point. She fancied they would, but swear to God, if there was a Language Arts class, she'd skip it at all costs. Writing was boring as holy hell and holding a pen for that long gave her cramps. As a rule, swollen hands don't look good in lacy gloves.
"So, Malla, what can you do? I mean to say, what're you here for, I guess." she said. Lynea looked toward the gates, swinging her arms as they paced around the dimly lit halls. The air was heavy with the somnolent perfumes of dusk. She felt suddenly sleepy. Taking a glance at her watch, Lynea's drowsiness was justified- it was 10:00 PM. "My art is Bone Manipulation. It's pretty sick-cool." She hated the way the consonants made her tongue click. It was annoying.
Through the window, she could see a boy walking silently through Ria's gates and looking angsty. "He looks like a grumpster." she said, pointing in his direction and smiling at Malla. "Being happy is cool!" Lynea sounded vaguely like a cheerleader echoing the same sentiment. Had she the pompoms and the spirit she would have danced out- horribly and clumsily, because she lacked rhythm altogether- a rah-rah happy people number. But she didn't, so she was content to simply walk the halls with Malla. The lace and frills of her skirt dragged on the floor, bobbing up and down like kid's floaties in a swimming pool.
"That sounded pretty stupid, you know, but it's true."

Kariella walked around half of the building seeing as she was dropped off on the wrong side so she walked until she found the entrance. When she did she stopped it was so big and she seemed so small. She almost dropped her suit cases. She then looked to the front desk and walked up to it.
"May i have your acceptancce letter please"
"Ohh yeah right" she pulled out a letter from her pocket and handed it to the robotic person. when it grabbed the letter she imediantly dropped it. But the robotic person caught it just in time.
"Heres is your school id and a map, Welcome to Ria High"
"Thanks" she said Then she walked to the entrance took a deep breath and said "here we go" and then she walked in...

"Bone Mani-?" Halfway through the word Malla surrendered the battle with her tongue and asked, "What's that? I do tracking and I was hoping to learn to use my spear. Oh, and add and take things away and still know how many there are."
Malla started and stared with a grin at Lynea's outburst. She was like a newborn puppy, that happy little bounding lamb that had broken it's leg once. No...that wasn't nearly close enough.
What could possibly describe how oddly spunky she was? There was people coming of age and dancing around in a flurry of alcohol, but that wasn't as much of a burst as Lynea's. After pondering so long she decided. Lynea's kind of happiness came from that medicine the priest gave people when they were hurting themselves. Yup, a drug. That's it.
"You're right about that boy. He doesn't show anything else but looking like he skinned his knee. You're far, far away from looking like that. Are you tired? Maybe we should find a place to sleep- they have one, right?"

The look Malla was giving her told her exactly what she was thinking. Her emotions were spectacularly easy to read. The simplicity of mind was fondly reminscent of a child. Lynea grinned.
She supposed it was a justified assumption to think she was on some sort of drug- cocaine, ecstasy, whatever the hell other ones there were she didn't know of- but it was pure, hardheaded spunk. Part theatrics of a girl who grew up being happy "or else", part genuine enthusiasm. Iggy Pop's "Lust for Life" threaded through her brain's ears.
"Well, we have dorms, I think, but I'd rather sleep outside." Lynea said.
She kicked a pebble with her dolly boot and it skidded down the hallway.
"Let's go out to the North Courtyard and sleep. Plus, I get the feeling you're more comfortable that way." As she led Malla, her steps bouyant on the tile, outside the entrance hall, she added, "And one more thing- I'm not on crack. Just me." The nighttime breeze was cool on the nape of her neck as they walked north to the courtyard.
((So you post in the courtyard, m'mkay, Anners? I'll meet you there.))

A long slender leg slid out of the taxi door clothed in leather jeans. Black rounded boots met with the ground delicately before its body followed out of the car. A girl with dark red hair and cool teal eyes smiled softly and paid the cab driver with a gloved hand. A polite thank you was uttered before the newest student of Ria High School walked up to a large elaborately designed iron gate that towered over the girl’s head. Unnerved she clung to her acceptance letter as if it where a life line. “Your fine,” Amaya told herself trying to boost her confidents, “they accepted you why would they turn you back now?” Taking in a deep breath Amaya entered through the gates with light steps obviously intrigued with all the greenery, is seemed so different then all the other schools she had been to. With one acceptation of a small garden they had all been of brick and stone. So absorbed in the scenery the teen jumped when she heard the voice directed at her. “Welcome to Ria High School please show me your acceptance letter so I may give you your student ID” Focusing on the one who spoke Amaya saw a female android who was evidently acting as a greeter. “Yes, course,” her voice was soft and pleasant. The teen smiled politely wiping a small strand of hair out her face with one hand while showing the android her letter with the other. After a small pause the android handed the teen a square card Amaya guessed was her student ID. “Everything seems to be in order here Miss Kinomoto, you are free to go.” Amaya smiled again and nodded her head in acknowledgment. “Thank you Miss,” carefully folding her acceptance letter with her student ID in it Amaya slipped it in her back pocket. “Now what,” Amaya asked herself looking around and wondering where to go next.

Doing a quick scan of the place Amaya spotted a wooden bench sitting off to the side among some sort of large bushes. Walking over quietly Amaya pulled her ID card along with her acceptance letter out of her back pocket and sat down to look at the small square card for the first time. Amaya was interested to see there was a sheet of paper folded around it. Curiously unfolding it the teen saw it was a map of the school. “How clever,” she commented with an amused smile. Leaning over it to get a better look Amaya had to tuck her hair behind her ear so it would not fall in her face.

Fuji had walked back outside and sat on the steps of the school wondering what to do next. He had walked quite a few times up and down the hall ways of the school. He still had his same happy expression on his face, smiling and his eyes were seemingly closed though he could still see everyone that walked by. He watched all the other students walking around looking lost and then those that have been there previous years and were talking to their friends. He covered his mouth as he yawned and then put it back back down again. He continued to silently sit on the steps of the school his elbows on his knees, his bag on the step below him and in front of him. He looked reached into his bag and pulled out the map he was given and looked at it. "Where should I go..." He asked himself. He continued to smile as continued to think about it. "Hmm... Maybe I'll go look for a place where I can sleep... I've always liked high places better than a bed..."

After several minuets of looking over the map Amaya stood up and put it away along with her expectance letter and student ID. Looking around she sighed feeling slightly defeated. I still don’t know where I should go the teen thought looking around silently. Bother by her hair that was still behind her hair she flipped it back to the side of her face with one finger. Well there’s no use standing, she thought sitting back down and looking around curiously, still debating on where to go next.

Katerina looked up at the gates with butterflies in her stomach. She stepped through them and screamed when a robot came by and asked for her letter. She fumbled through her purse and handed it over. The robot looked over it for a while and handed it back along with her student ID. She looked over the ID while walking inside the courtyard. She put the ID in her purse making a mental note to make it a dogchain later.
She housted her bag up more to make it comfortable on her shoulder and followed the map she recieved to some teleporters. She teleported up to the dorms, shocked and wide-eyed when she got out. She put her stuff in her room and took it back down. She kept the map out and decided to walk around and get to know the campus more as this is where she is spending many years of her life.

The sun shined as the little car stopped in front of the school. A young girl wearing a short silver dress slowly hopped out of the car and put her bags down on the sidewalk as the little car drove away. The young girl picked up her bags after taking out her acceptancce letter and placing it in her left hand. As the young girl walked toward the school another lady came up to her. "Hello!" The lady said.
"Oh hi." Yumi said to the lady.
"Do you have your acceptancce letter?" She asked.
Yumi handed the lady her acceptancce letter and smiled.
"Here you go, and Welcome to your new school Ria." The lady said giving her a map and an ID card.
Yumi smiled and took the map and ID card from her hands.
"Thank you!" Yumi said with a bow.
Yumi walked up to the fornt doors and stopped. Yumi looked around the fornt yard of the school and then slowly opened the fornt doors.
"Here I am Ria." Yumi said as she looked around at all of the people.

Tui looked around the large courtyard in awe. Everything was so...green! Back in Alaska, nothing was ever THIS green.
Not wanting to loiter, the deaf girl quickly found the welcoming table, and hurried over. When she saw the android's lips moving, she sighed.
I forgot, people don't know about my condition here...
She took a piece of paper and a pencil out of her backpack, and scribbled a message on it.
I'm sorry, I'm deaf...
Tui handed the paper to the andriod, and waited patiently for a response. To her immense delight, the andriod began to use sign language. Ecstatic that someone else knew sign language, she handed her acceptance letter to to robot.
Turning around, Tui took a deep breath.
Here goes nothing...
With that, Tui La began the walk to the large building known as Ria High.

Fuji looked up from the map and kept his same happy expression on his face. He hoped it wouldnt have to leave his face unless he was suprised about something. He was thinking most people would like that too. He folded the map up and put it back into his backpack and looked up, his eyes still 'closed' as he looked surprised to see someone that was deaf. He could tell because of the sign language the robot had used and smiled again. "Hmm... that's interesting..." He said as he held his chin and then put one strap of his backpack over his shoulder and approached her with a smile. He had learned sign language when he was once asked to heal somebody who was deaf. He smiled and performed the signs to say. "Hello. I've noticed you are deaf. May I ask how that happened?" He signed. Maybe he would be able to sure her if she allowed it. One of the reasons he had come to the school was to practise his gift of being able to heal absolutely anything except for if the person was dead. He continued to smile at her as he waited for a reply.
