@armelle, i've been kinda lazy with my posting, and I wanted Texas to be nice towards his family and be rebellious and stuff to people he doesn't know or isn't party of his family, and I needed him to be a true gentleman towards the ladies, (Because whatever higher power knows that the guys at my city are players) I kinda based him on two of my best guy friends. Because they are nice to close friends and pure hateful to anyone that tries to mess with their friends and family (Which makes me happy they're my friends) and this is the longest post so far I have ever done

Ah, so that's it. I thought you might know something about Texas which would completely change the normal personality people give him.
*covers TN's ears* I've been kind of debating in my head about how Tennessee should react to finding out Texas and NC are going to the dance... TN obviously likes and trusts Texas but, since NC is the sister who took him in when he was little, he's a smidgen more sensitive when it comes to her than other people. After Kentucky, Texas and NC are the states with the closest historical ties to TN... so I'm a little torn on what to do with that.
@Kitty: Hm... You know, I think I once heard someone say that the stereotype about Mexicans being lazy started partially because Americans didn't understand the concept of a siesta. So when they saw Mexican people taking breaks/napping they thought it was just them being lazy... No idea if that's true, but it's something I've heard. It's ridiculous enough that I would believe it.
Oh, thank goodness! Su-san, please be careful not to faint anymore.

As an easy elective in High School! At the height of my education I might have been able to hold an intelligent conversation with a 5 year old.

Google is so useless. I can't find the education level for Michigan. YOU BETTER BE NOT STILL BE IN YOUR 40'S.
Am I the only one that can imagine at the Great Depression a bunch of chibi states in maid dresses punching America and shouting Chikishou like Romano? Anyone :c?
Even though you didn't ask~*fills Michigan's ears with cotton* I'm actually pretty concerned about this. I mean, I really want to know if my state is lacking, or just average. It's like, suspense. And when I made Michigan, I was like "Oh crap, I forgot everything about her..."And I had to look up things. Like for example, I think, I THINK, that some indian tribes in Michigan rebelled against America to stay with Britain, I think, which may explain her complex for Britain :I. I wanted to make her a guy, but because of French settlement, I had to reconsider this. And she would be nice to her family, but won't be afraid to bad mouth them c:.

This is just me, but I personally have issues about people mixing states with Indian Nations because they historically operate completely separate from states' actual population and government. That and Indian Nations are seriously considered nations within America. They have their own governments which are separate from the states and individual autonomy. It feels like an insult to just lump them in as part of the states and usually doesn't work because a large portion of the states' early history has to do with making peace treaties and fighting wars against the Indian Nations.
I think the rebellion you're thinking of is the Northwest Indian War (aka: Little Turtle's War) but it wasn't honestly them trying to return to British rule. They just wanted to keep America from expanding and taking their land (which is the root cause of most conflict between the states, America and Indian Nations) Although they were allied with Britain and Britain definitely wanted them to keep Americans from expanding westward so they had common goals. The Indian Nations in Michigan have an interesting and complex relationship with her... When England took her from France, they were pissed and tried to get Michigan to rebel. They liked it better when she was French. Then before the War of 1812 they all sided with England because they liked her better English than American. Even so, in both instances, the Indian Nations went out of their way not to actually hurt Michigan (there was even a time that Potawatomi refused to let its British allies destroy one of Michigan's settlements because they didn't want her people to suffer more than necessary)
And... and... *trying really hard not to do a big history rant* >_>;; I could go on forever about this sort of thing... Colonial and Pre-Civil War American history is kind of my obsession/field of study for my history minor... I'm also really into militia/National Guard histories. (Not so much the legit regular army because they're for really-reals, but militias have some super funny and amazing stories.)

Siestas only exist for the Spanish and Italians. The rest of the Spanish speaking countries are too busy working to put food on the table to take naps 3nodding

This might be kind of a weird question, but I always get confused about this when I try to study colonial Mexico (especially because most of its deep, interesting history is in Spanish emotion_omnomnom ) Was Mexico like America in that "American" colonists were actually descended from immigrants or is it more like India and colonies where the preexisting nations were just taken over by another country for a while? I know Spain conquered the crap out of Aztec but I'm always uncertain whether the Mexican colonists considered themselves a conquered people or "Spanish" like how Americans used to think of themselves as "English." Florida seems like it made a very clear distinction between being Spanish and who the natives were, but the rest of New Spain sounds a bit more complicated...

well, before the conquistadors came, Mexico was once ruled by the Aztecs (not the all the land, just the heart of modern day Mexico). during the time it was a viceroyalty, the people were that lived there were Spaniards, the surviving natives or mixed. They rebelled against Spain, cuz they wouldn't let them trade with other nations, just Spain. Basicially, they didn't let them do what they want (not just them, all spanish nations)
