**The hellhounds are some of Hell's most voracious predators of souls and the living who dare to venture down into the depths. Still, it would be hard pressed to stand up against being punched in the snout about a rate of a hundred times per second! The hellhound fell over, it's nose bloodied, and the Peeps cheered!**

**Another of the hounds snaps viciously at Wally when an iron clamp appeared on it's mouth, subduing it, courtesy of senior class mage, Jennifer Kale**
**Achilles shouts, taking the lead that he deployed with his troops in Troy**
"Those with super strength and invulnerability on the outside! Those with active powers be ready to use them! Protect the children with lesser abilities!"
**The hellhounds closed in, snarling**

**In the upper heavens of Olympus, seated in a courtyard of pearl-white marble and ever lasting greenery, Pallas Athena and Ares, god of war, sit at a stone table, mulling over a chess board**
"I believe your two champions are at their end sister." **Ares moves a piece**
**Athena smiles and moves a piece of her own on the chess board** "Do you?"
**He smirks** "They are children. Mere children. Did you expect them to successfully make it out of Hades alone?"
"Alone, no. Yet aid will soon be on the way."
"Is that a fact?"
"The adults have opened the gateway."
**Ares moves a piece** "Yet that is where I win. There is a barrier that no human can pass through to give them aid."
"Oh dearest brother, that is why you are always in such a mood. You never think outside the box." **Athena moves a piece on the chess board, one in the shape of an elephant**

Hartley's blood runs cold as he steps forward from the group, and ice-cold breezes whisper past his cheeks.
"Who are you, boy?"
"Why are you here?"
"We are the Furies."
"You shall DIE!"
He felt the chills through his clothes, his skin, seeping into his very soul. An eternal, angry darkness, like a neverending scream whistling in his ears...Suddenly he heard Len shout.
"PIPER! PLAY!!!"

Cassie hands one end to Wally and one to Pietro..

"Grrrggrrrrgh. Grrowflgh! Grrgergrgh!"
::Cerberus jerks his head towards Doug....and then turns around and backs away from the students!::

"HA! Alright!" There was a flicker of the old Dani as she highfived both Ally and Doug.
"Ahm! I mean. Now it is time to leave." Nods to Cassie. "Wally." Point to Cassies Lasso, "If we all hold on Can you pull us across? I know you fast. But Strong?" She wasn't meaning to insult him just needed information.

It was a song of loneliness, a song of empty promises and endless melancholy.
It was a song that begged for someone to reach out, to be touched, but never getting that touch.
It was a song of hiding, of staying away from the light lest it show everyone the flaws usually kept hidden away.
It was a song begging to feel something, even if it was pain. A song that begged the world for anything, anything at all except to be left alone.
Hartley played on his flute, and the song rose up to the ears of the Furies, who screamed dischordantly and tried to cover their ghostly ears.
"NOOOO!"
"It is Orpheus! He has returned to torment us!"
Tears streamed down the faces of the Furies, and they parted, leaving the way through clear.
"Leave this place! Leave and never return! We beg you! Do not make us listen!"
The Rogues ran through, getting ahead of Hartley as he slowly walked through the valley of the Furies, playing his song. The music rose up out of the cave and started to fill all of Hades.
