"You look just as cute to me now as you did on our wedding day. ...And just as cute as when you called me a cad, and a devil, and a few other things. I wonder if you recall that?" As if she could forget the apparent trauma he apparently forced upon her that day! He could barely keep up with the insults she was throwing in a panic that day with how confused he was. It was clear he was trying to get a bit of a rise out of poor L'Arachel now, but of course, he wouldn't go overboard. Still, she was one of very few to see his playful side--it was really only her and her sister-in-law. "...Well, I could kick him again if it amuses you so much." He said in a tone so matter-of-fact it was clear he wasn't being serious, as poor Kaden stayed there on the ground. He obviously wasn't in pain to worry about, but he'd probably be down a while..."...I feel like those two are trying to give us competition." Zack said, as he sat on a beach chair with his love innocently cuddled in his lap. "Cutest couple in the beach is supposed to be our thing, right? Those two seem to be quite a threat though." He was obviously referring to the king carrying his bride like a princess--which she was. It was hard to compete with that literal adorable storybook romance! "Should I carry you around and kick somebody too?" Truly a perfect plan! (( OOC: ))

   "Oh? You say that as though I am not the only most beautiful woman on this island! Why, not even the Serenitians hold a handle to my radiance! " No one in the world had such a high opinion of their selves as L'Arachel did! She could certainly cause a stir had she said those words to an actual Serenitian. Some might say those Serenitians out beat L'Arachel ten fold. "I married a beast, Cad!..Pervert! " She tried to imitate a less dramatic way of her outburst from back then,it seemed that day would never, ever, leave their minds. It was a little embarrassing to think of it now, but in a way, it was also quite humorous! At his last playful joke towards the icy prince, L'Arachel found herself laughing softly in amusement. "Spending more time with you is better, of course! " She said as he would feel her arms tighten slightly around his shoulders, as though she were hugging him while in his arms. "Hm? " Aerith blinked, she was so obviously so comfortable cuddled in his lap, the rest of the world may of been slightly forgotten! If she had the choice, she would stay just like this, as closely as possible to the love of her life forever. "..Oh, don't worry.." She smiled. "There isn't anyone here that can come close to us..we are definitely the cutest on this beach.." She sat up a little, enough to look up at him with a soft giggle. It seemed she and L'Arachel shared the same confidence! "No, though...if you need to stretch your legs, we can go for our own walk! " Or would he get out his trusty, mighty umbrella to fight Ephraim with and gain the title best couple on the beach?

Ephraim responded as though it were the most obvious thing in the world, more than happy to go along with her words. After all, as far as he was concerned, it was true. "From Unisha to Hana, none of them can compare to you." They may be beautiful, but L'Arachel was, of course, the beautiful princess of peerless beauty. Peerless! "Of course--and in fact-""Sorry, but being delusional doesn't make you cuter. You can't compare to me or some of the others!" Alisa interjected, having come over to say something else to Ephraim, but instead overhearing L'Arachel's proclamations. Delusions, as far as she was concerned! "You're just lucky you met Ephraim first--if he met me, Uni, Azura, or my little sister first, he wouldn't give you a second glance!" She said with a smug grin. While Alisa's opinion of her own beauty was more lacking than she was currently putting on, she certainly had a high opinion of other Serenitians like Unisha. That girl was gorgeous enough to turn the straightest women gay in an instant as far as she was concerned! Perhaps it was no wonder Alisa grew up to be bi, with that as her closest childhood friend.Zack let out a laugh at her confident response. "Sounds like something I'd say!" They must have been good(?) influences on each other, especially with all the time they had spent together lately. "Though I bet every couple thinks the same way. Only one can be right though." He chuckled. "I dunno, being so close to you is pretty hard to say no to--though I can get restless when I sit around too long." Part of being a SOLDIER, especially for so long. Or that was just his excuse, and he became restless easy. It was no wonder he did squats so often, he tended to have a lot of energy to burn.(( OOC: ))

L'Arachel was practically beaming, she was definitely as radiant as the sun, if not more so! But Ephraim's added praises only made her even more confidant, as if she needed more! "That's right! " But that sweet boost of glory wouldn't last long, as her mortal enemy, the pretty elf princess had found her way to them! "E-Excuse me?! " L'Arachel started to release Ephraim's neck, shifting her weight a bit so she could hop down from Ephraim's once so comfortable arms, to the blonde elf she now stood a few feet from! "I can't compare to you or the others, because I rise to the top of the beauty chart! I am L'Arachel! Princess of Peerless beauty!" "More like, princess of Cabbage-heads! " Miya, who she didn't even notice until she spoke herself and came right along side to stand beside Alisa! "Mmhm..You do look like you might sprout a few flowers from that nest of yours.." She grinned, oh this beauty competition was really starting to heat up now! The LOOK on L'Arachel's face was great, so, so angry! "Not sorry! You insulted us Serenitians, and you know what! Even I'M cuter then you! "
Aerith raised a little more, before leaning down again, and placing a soft, innocent kiss to his lips. After a moment, she would fully raise to slip herself off her comfortable Zack chair, and stand on the soft sandy grounds. "Alright then, let's find something to do! " There was pretty much endless opportunities on this island. "What is something you would like to do? Explore the forest? Swim? Or a walk on the beach? "

Carmen said flatly as she laid in a beach chair, a colorful drink in her hand as she watched Ephraim training with a bored expression. "How long do you need to train, human? Do you not have the basics down yet?""...Perfecting the fundamentals is the key to skill with any weapon, but especially the lance.""It's perfect enough!""If this is so boring to you, perhaps you would want to join me in sparring?""Ugh, that's not worth the effort it would take to stand up and oneshot you." She responded in irritation, taking a sip out of her drink."I seem to have won last time we fought...""And you're lucky I allowed you, enjoy your 1-0 until I decide you need to be humiliated. Hasn't Alisa beaten you almost every time you've fought? And I beat her every time we've fought. What does that tell you?""That you'd rather hide behind statistics than prove yourself.""Stop bothering me!" She had more important things to focus on anyway.   " Haven't you ever heard, 'Practice makes perfect!'? " Alisa was quick to jump in Ephraim's defense, as if he needed it! "Of course not, you hide behind your ridiculous power, while WE strive to become even better with actual effort and work. Soon enough, that practice will pay off and he will win every duel with you! " Or..he wouldn't, but that didn't matter. What Alisa thought was final and she wouldn't be changing her mind anytime soon! She may of believed in him just a bit much. Coming up from behind Carmen's beach chair, a pair of arms would wrap around her neck in a slightly awkward, but manageable hug from behind. "If they are bothering you, I could drag them away. " She said with a playful smile, clearly she was talking about her vines! It was unlikely Unisha would be physically dragging Ephraim of all people, across the sands!

That had to be some kind of stereotyped comment towards elves, didn't it? Taking a long, particularly loud sip of her drink as if just to annoy Alisa while she made her passionate little speech, she sighed softly after. "Not my fault I'm better without trying to be. Being so good is a burden, you know. Not that you'd know, of course...""...I don't think that's true. Alisa is much better than you are." Look who was just as quick to come to her defense! Not that this was any different than usual for either of them, was it? "Your victories have made you complacent. You feel you don't need to improve, so you don't. Alisa never stops improving. She never stops persevering, even when the world tries its hardest to keep her down. She gets back up, she improves, she does better. She's become so much more than you are, and watching her inspires those around her. It inspires me. Who do you inspire?"Carmen let out a long sigh. "It's cute how much you two suck each other off, but maybe just do it in private so I don't have to listen to it. Pretty speech and everything, but I've still won every time I've beaten her. Inspiration has nothing on results.""Continue to base your believed superiority on results from years ago. If you fought her today, I daresay you've met your match.""...Uh huh. Would your girlfriend like to prove that herself?" She leaned forward, eyes on Alisa. "I'm always open to your challenge, little High Princess. I'm always happy to humiliate you, even better against your apparent true love here." She grinned, about to continue when Unisha made her timely entrance, perhaps dissolving the "tension" enough to defuse the challenge. Unless Alisa decided to pursue it, of course. "I would love to see that, but they'd probably chase the vines away with heroic speeches about the power of love or something." She raised her index, causing Unisha to float off her feet and land gently there in Carmen's lap, which was pretty funny since Carmen was both shorter and smaller than her--but it was pretty clear who was in charge despite that, wasn't it? "You two enjoy your self-improvement and perseverance and all that. While you do, remember the woman you both find hot is in my lap, not yours. And realize that no amount of effort is going to swap our positions. Isn't that right, Unisha?" She said with a smug grin."That's quite all right. Congratulations on learning Princess Unisha has low standards." Well, that smug grin didn't last long!
Turning his attention to Alisa now, he spoke with a chuckle. "You know, you don't always have to defend me when I'm having a heated discussion." He said playfully, as if he hadn't just done the exact same thing for her! "It does seem as though we always join each other's battles, doesn't it." Both physical and verbal, it seemed!(( OOC: ))

"So happy to disappoint you with my presence." She said with just as much sarcasm in her voice. A cold stare would meet the prideful eyes of most irritating woman she would ever know! "I believe the only one who thinks you are better then anyone here is your sister. You're power doesn't make you the better person, it does make you ignorant.One day when you've met an enemy that suppresses your power, what will you do then? How will you survive with no other skills to your name? I don't think baking a cake will do you good. "
And then there was Ephraim, who to her surprise was quick to come to her defense, just as she tried. Weren't they just adorable? There was no hiding how happy it made her to hear those words, causing her to smile despite how annoyed she was with Carmen there! But that smile would only last so long before it was replaced with a more...nervous one. While she really wanted to throw a few arrows at Carmen for her last words, it was Ephraim's continued confidence that threw Alisa's own confidence level off. "Ah.." Well, that wasn't good! Did he really believe she could win against Carmen? ..What remained of any form of confidence was quite quickly drained at the thought. She could take on just about any enemy, but Carmen? That was a whole different story, and a whole level she never quite was able to pass. "....Y-yeah? ...Well....That's to bad, i'm not here for a duel with the likes of YOU! ..I'm here on the beach to enjoy it." It truly was some kind of miracle, for Unisha to arrive when she did. Knowing her, she probably sensed the tensions between the three, and came to put it to a stop..in her own way.
".. ?? " Unisha would seriously have to get herself used to randomly floating off the ground with Carmen as her lover! But it was just as good, she had planned to perch herself in her lap after a few moments, so in the end she got exactly what she wanted, to be extra close. Despite Carmen being a bit shorter and smaller then herself, Unisha took that moment to get even closer, practically snuggling against her in the beach chair. A soft coloration of pink came to her face, the princess blinking in confusion as she looked at both Ephraim and Alisa."Oh..I don't think they feel that way about me.." She said with a soft giggle, yeah, she really didn't! "Of course it doesn't matter if they did..I have the only one I want right here.." Carmen, of course!
Rolling her eyes at the two, Alisa grabbed a hold of Ephraim's hand, not his wrist! But his hand, some might think that was a more couple-like thing to do, of course she wasn't clearly thinking about how it might look, walking in a hurry holding his hand. "Let's get away from them before they start making out in front of us..that would be a real battle for our eyes! " The true battle! "Hey, forget it. I do what I want, and if I want to come to your much needed defense, i'm going to be there Mr! " She said playfully as she continued to walk with him, her pace slowing once they were a decent distance away from Carmen and Unisha.

Hope that he rescues you?""That is exactly what I would do." Ephraim said without a moment's hesitation. "If Alisa needs saving, I'll come running. Though i don't see that happening--both because I trust in her abilities, and because we would fight together. But if it does, I will be there." The certain tone in his voice made it hard to disagree--even Carmen couldn't do it. If that moment did come, it seemed certain what he said was exactly what would come to pass."...I suppose that's pretty romantic. Good for you, I guess." Carmen grumbled in something of a mutter. "I've seen your willpower firsthand, I wouldn't envy anyone who tried to hurt Alisa around you. Though I prefer to fight my own battles.""We fight together. That's how it's been since we came to this world." It really had been, hadn't it? Thinking back to every major battle they had faced, Ephraim and Alisa had been there every time, and more often than not they had had each other's backs. He glanced at Alisa, a soft smile unconsciously spreading across his lips. "...We make a good team." He said warmly. "And anyone who wants to hurt my partner will have to try and fail to get through me first." It was only fitting--she was an archer, after all. Fitting for him to protect her!"...I feel like they aren't even really talking to me anymore." Carmen muttered mostly to herself and Unisha as she came onto the scene. As Alisa so boldly took the king's hand and dragged him away, she raised an eyebrow, watching them walk away for a few moments. "...I never thought I'd see Alisa fall in love with a human." She said with a small chuckle. "You see it too, right? You and her were best friends. It was like whiplash seeing how she's always clinging to him. Hard to see one ever without the other. It's pretty cute, I'll admit." She said, grinning slightly. "Not as cute as us, though..." She said, turning Unisha's face towards her and pressing a small kiss on her lips, before leaning back. Despite how forward Carmen could be, it was still clear she was... VERY inexperienced in romance, but trying SO hard to seem like she knew what she was doing. That's just the kind of person she was! "...That Ephraim guy... he's not bad, you don't think? I feel you're a good judge of character. Do you think they're good for each other? I mean, it doesn't really matter, but I think Alisa can feel lonely easily. I don't want-" She paused. "...Never mind!" Aww, she did care. Even if she had no idea how to show it!Ephraim blinked as Alisa took his hand so confidently and led him away. He supposed he shouldn't be surprised--this probably was not the most forward thing she had ever done. But still, it did bring some coloration to his face, and a bit of a quickened heartbeat. "You're not wrong there." He agreed with a small chuckle. "Uh huh," He responded, giving her an amused look. "I better not hear any complaining when I defend you in battle or rescue you when you're in danger, then. It's only fair." Those two things were totally the same and all--though it wasn't like Ephraim was one to ask permission to protect someone. Especially Alisa, she was GOING to receive his protection whether she liked it or not! "I sometimes have trouble deciding if your forward personality is charming, irritating, or both." He said playfully, laughing a bit. "...Though I do think you could win against her, even if I can tell you don't believe it. I think you're so much more skilled than you realize. I've never met a more extraordinary wom-" He coughed, glancing away. "Err, warrior," he said quickly. "...Genuinely, your ability to think on your feet amazes me, and I like to think I'm no slouch in that department either. Not to mention your magic is so versatile... every time we fight I feel like you've grown exponentially from our last fight. I try to lead by example, yet I feel like I'm having trouble just keeping up with you!" He said, turning back to her with a warm smile, speaking in a somewhat playful tone. "...You really are inspiring. Just being around you makes me want to be a better man." ...Was he still just talking about fighting? (( OOC: ))

  Meanwhile, at another area of the beach..Athena was standing under possibly one of the tallest palm tree's on the beach, but she wasn't alone, rather, she seemed to be rather unstable, until she better held onto the palm tree to keep herself from falling. Upon better inspection, had anyone actually been in the same area they would see Miya, standing on top of her shoulders, reaching up for one of the branching area's of the palm tree.They were lucky it was so huge to have so many branches branching out as they were, but it still wasn't quite perfect. "Are you sure about this? This seems to dangerous, even for you! " "Oh please! This is nothing, Don't you remember how many tree's we climbed back at home? We grew up playing in the tree's. I can do this! Just watch me..Leave it to the best, Miya will retrieve your precious hat! " She said with a goofy laughter, as she continued to climb several more feet straight up, where in a few more feet, another giant branch would tower over the sandy beach, but it wouldn't be until a few more past that one, that she would reach the last branch at the very top where Athena's hat was stuck between one of the pointed bark. With Miya's agility and cat-like reflexes, she had no problem getting to this point, and what a reward it was the moment she stepped onto the branch. The view was incredible! "...Woooooow...You should come up here, the view is A-m-a-z-i-n-g! " Athena was less then eager to go along with her request, she may of climbed tree's at home, but nothing of this height. That was most certainly not happening, that and she wasn't quite so gifted in reflexes as Miya there was! "Heads up! " And there went the hat..the wide brimmed sun hat floating down part ways..........until a gust of wind decided to take it away again, carrying it off to sea! Well! ...She probably wasn't going to get it back this time.." Oh my god..................did that...DID THAT JUST HAPPEN!? " All that effort put into making it up to the top, she wanted to impress her friend by retrieving her hat, and in the end, the wind won that battle AGAIN. How dare it...

"My arrows rarely miss, with or without--" Her words would come to a sudden halt, as Ephraim jumped right back to her defense again! ..Was it getting warm suddenly? ...No, that was just her blushing face. How was he so good with saying such perfect things? Oh, how it melted her heart. It was almost painful she was to afraid to say how very much he truly cared for him, how much she was so very in-love with him! But that could never happen, if it made things awkward between them, or even pushed him away somehow, she might not be able to get over such a thing! This was good, though, even if she wanted to be closer, being as they were now was enough. Far better then not having him at all. "........We always do best together.." She finally managed to say, her mind was going up there in thoughts! "Mhm. I would have to agree, the best team out of all of us! " Her smile would swiftly return, seeing his own soft, sincere smile really brought out that happiness back in her. "And me..You know I always will be there for you too. " As an archer, they really were a great team. No one had a chance of escape if they really fought to win.
"I think everyone knows how they feel for each other, everyone but them, of course. " She nodded in agreement. "I noticed it quite a while ago, it's wonderful she's found someone, now if only she had the strength to admit how she feels..I can imagine how that will go, it will be adorable once they've admitted it to each other! " She wouldn't snoop and wait for that moment to come, though. As badly as probably several of them all wanted to catch it! "He,he.." She smiled, giggling softly, about to agree with her when she was surprised with a sudden, small kiss to her lips that would bring out a soft coloration to her face.It didn't have to be super romantic, or a heavy kiss, any little thing Carmen did made her heart soar! "..Oh, I agree.." She finally said, leaning back into her, so she was snuggled against her. "Ephraim is possibly the most loyal one we know, and especially to Alisa. I don't think there isn't a thing he wouldn't do for her.." She nodded. "I think they will be great together.." She continued after a moments pause, smiling. "It's so cute how much you care for her..." Alisa smiled at first, only for that smile to become a little more playful and amused. "I don't plan to be in any danger anytime soon, but hey! The same will be going right back at you. No complaining when my arrows rush to defend you in the heat of battle." She glanced at him, giggling a moment later softly. "Oh? Hmm. I suppose I can take that as a compliment. I don't mind irritating you, in fact, I rather enjoy getting a rise out of you! " She said playfully."While I don't believe the same thing, I do appreciate your belief in me. Against anyone else, I'm quite confidant in my skills, yet when it comes to Carmen..I honestly don't see myself beating her..My magic has it's limits, where as hers just about has no end. " She didn't see how anyone could really beat her, but maybe one day, one day she would see herself on the winning end of a duel between them. Certainly not anytime soon, though. "Ah-ha,,y-you're going to make this princess blush.." To late there, she already was. "You know...you already are. You're the best in absolutely everything...To me, you are the best.."
