She gave him a long kiss and said, "I think they're going to be busy for a while. So we're safe." She snuggled closer, smiling happily. Then Angel jumped up, declaring, "If this is going to be our hiding spot, it needs to be pretty!" She set about taking flowers from her bag and putting them in various places. She had a lot of flowers in her bag.

Mala giggled, seeming to have her mind off of Riley's defilement for the moment being. Thanks to Van, she did. However, the scolding and the yelling was only delayed for the moment.

Van smiled, glad to see he managed to cheer her up again. "We should probably actually get to sleep at some point. Otherwise we won't have the strength to keep doing this on a whim." Van said giving her one last passionate kiss before lying back to get some shut eye.
((I know there was a 'keep it up' joke I could have put in there, but then it just would've sounded weird in Mala's case.))
Riley just stared at Angel as she pranced about scattering her flowers before chuckling a bit, not even caring about the kiss for once. He had to admit, she was pretty damn adorable.

Deep in the dead of night, long after the couple had drifted into sleep, the shadows of the room shifted and collected into a portal in the floor at the foot of the bed, a familiar demon rising up with a rather grouchy expression on his face. "Good gods, it's about time you two finally fell asleep!" Jaquel hissed so as not to wake them as he walked around the bed to examine his prey. "Do you have any idea how hard it is to properly replace someone when you two are going at it like rabbits?!" he hissed as he glared down at Van. "I could probably crush you now and be done with it, but where would the fun in that be?" he said as his shadow reached up, winding itself into numerous tendrils and reaching for Van, grabbing his wrists and ankles and covering his mouth so the god couldn't call for help when he awoke to see his attacker. "Sorry to interrupt your happy time, but I for one am sick of waiting. Don't worry about your dear Mala, I'll make sure to take good care of her." he said as he moved a hand over his face, his whole body turning black like his shadow and copying Van's appearance perfectly as he moved it away. "Sweet dreams." he cooed before the tendrils that held Van suddenly pulled him down into a shadowy portal, closing up without a trace as Jaquel remained standing there with a cold smile, awaiting daylight to slip in and take away the thief god's pride and joy.
((Good god, part of that sounded like a horrible yaoi hentai fanfic...))

Mala slept peacefully unaware of what happened, all snug and comfortable in the expensive bed. Once the sun rose to greet the town with its warm gaze, Mala awoke. She sat up, not bothering to cover her chest up as she yawned since she was pretty sure that she and Van were the only two in the room at the moment. Noticing that 'Van' was already awake, she smirked and wrapped her arms around him. "Up rather early today, aren't we?"

Angel woke up, yawned, hugged Riley, yawned, kissed his cheek, stretched her wings to their full, massive length, so far they shivered a bit, and then she said, "Good morning!" She smiled cheerily.

Mala couldn't help but find something off. She didn't quite know what, but it was something. She didn't mention her suspicions, but kept hold of the kiss for moments longer before pulling away and smiling at him. "Well, shall we stay for a moment longer? Or shall we go deal with the brats?" Mala asked, still upset at Riley and Angel from before.

"Deal with the brats I suppose. We'll have to do it eventually, best get it over with." he said as he got to his feet, already dressed (more of his disguise power at work) from his supposed trip to the bathroom. An attention to detail would later note that he'd forgotten the knife that Van had recently added to his belt. In truth, Jaquel had no idea what she was talking about. He'd been watching the lovebirds the entire time, he didn't pay any attention to the tag-along kids. Of course, him being the charming b*****d he was, he was damn good at playing along.
((And I am merely pointing out the flaw that will get Jaquel busted. I am in no way asking for his cover to be blown so soon. >_>))

Mala sighed and nodded. "I know. Still, it's going to be hard for me to face Riley after...you know." she murmured, looking towards the ground with a small frown after she turned away to collect her clothes and get dressed. "I swear, I'll damn well kill Angel if anything happens because of that..."

Van would've been smart enough not to make such a comment. Jaquel, however, hadn't known any better. "How the hell can this be alright?! For all I know, that bloodsucking WHORE could've given poor Riley an STD or ten after drinking him dry!" she hissed, having just gotten dressed. Now, she stormed towards the door and was heading out, the moodiness from the previous night returning as she went on to find her brother and his companion. "I swear, I'll end up incinerating the b***h by day's end!" {I did. However, I got kicked off of the compy and copy+paste sucks a** on the iPod. I'll post it up later...Kay?}
