 The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn nodded, in agreement to both statements. "I don't doubt it." He said in a mutter, then added louder. "I'll grab Ash and meet you downstairs." He disappeared into their apartment and to the bedroom. "Lucian says he'll drive us." Raevyn said to her, making an effort to say the other cat's name rather than just insult him. If Ashriel wanted him to behave, then he would try. "Let's get going." He scooped her up gently, carrying her bridal style. Stepping out of the apartment, he locked the door behind them then headed down the stairs.  The tiger that should be....isn't....

Lucian nodded, heading down the stairs solemnly. One of those dogs had bit Ash... His sister's best friend. The girl who was practically his second sister. It horrified him to think it so, but, then again, he had to remember how much protection that they'd had to give Jennalin. That is, until she started to develop her gift at about six.
Ash looked at Raevyn as he returned, smiling as he said Lucian's name. As he lifted her, she just looked straight at him, making sure that she wouldn't be distracted by whatever went on around them.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn glanced at Ashriel, then back around the small parking lot, wondering which car was Lucian's. He doubted the cat drove the taxi when he was off duty. In a murmur, he told Ashriel with a small smile, "From the look on his face, I just may have a partner in neutering the mongrel that bit you." He said, trying to keep her spirits up. He hated to think of how many knew about her and what dangers lay before her. It was rare for cats to work together, especially two male cats, but it wasn't completely unheard of. Dire times formed the strangest alliances. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel grinned when she heard Raevyn suggest that he might work with Lucian. Perhaps they could learn to get along! She could see Lucian leaning against his car, a car she recognized to be a brand new Honda - was it a Civic this time? Possibly. Quietly, she gazed up at Raevyn, waiting for him to take her over there. She felt so stranded, so dependent right now.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn shook his head at her grin, the movement bring Lucian into his field of view. "Don't get your hopes up." He said with a slight laugh, heading towards the other cat. "Males generally don't get along. We make special exceptions though for odd situations such as ours." Nodding to Lucian, Raevyn slid into the back seat, setting Ashriel carefully on the seat beside him. He might never be friendly with Lucian, but surely he could be civil right? If only for Ashriel's sake. The tiger that should be....isn't....

When Lucian actually saw where Ash had been bit, his frown went stone cold. There? That meant... They probably hadn't meant to just bite and leave, but to take her with them. He didn't like this concept - not one bit. And he could imagine that the other cat that seemed to care so much for her would be feeling similarly. Once both were in, he started the car and began pulling out.
Ashriel looked at Raevyn. "Perhaps, but a girl can hope. Lucian sighed lightly in the front seat, driving towards the hospital easily.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Nice try Ash." Raevyn said, patting her shoulder. "Nice try, but just keep hoping. It's not likely." He deliberately left out the subject they were talking about, not wanting to bring Lucian into it. They didn't exactly need another fight right now. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"Yeah, but it still IS possible." Lucian pulled in the parking lot, parking quickly, and Ashriel grinned triumphantly, as if Raevyn could no longer argue.
"So what is the story gonna be behind the bite?" Lucian's voice was quiet as he turned around to face both Ash and Raevyn to find out. --okay, I'm falling asleep while typing: time for bed--

Raevyn rolled his eyes and gave up arguing with Ashriel. It simply wasn't worth the effort. He glanced at Lucian. "Stray dog, no collar on it, was in the shadows of the alley we walk home through. We startled it and it turned on us. We fought back and it ran off scared. That's the last we saw of it." He told the pair simply. "No need to inform the humans that a small scale Were war is going on and that I have a list and animals that need neutering." He said with a shrug, then glanced at Lucian. "You can stay or go. Not my concern. Come on Ash. No sense delaying." He got out and reached in to pick up Ashriel, carrying her inside the building with no effort. He set her down in one of the seats then went up to the triage nurse to sign her in. Returning, he sat down beside her. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Lucian nodded, following the two in and locking his car. His phone rang for a moment, and he answered it. "Jen, calm down. I'm busy...with what? At the hospital...why? Ash got bit by a dog." Bring down his hand, he stared at his phone for a moment. The look on his face practically screamed that his sister was on her way.
Ashriel, already sick of being carried, waiting impatiently for the nurse to call her for her turn. She looked at Lucian and groaned. She really, really didn't want to see Jennalin right now. Having Lucian and Raevyn freaking out was enough; no need to add Jen to the equation.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn glanced at Lucian and groaned. "Don't tell me. She's on her way." He said it with such certainty, not even bothering to ask. He could tell. He was relieved when the nurse called Ashriel's name. "Oh good. Your headache, not mine." He muttered, picking up Ashriel. He followed the nurse, setting the girl on the bed. Now they had to wait again, after telling the nurse their story, for the doctor to arrive. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel frowned as the nurse left the room. More waiting. She leaned back against her arms. "I wish it didn't have to be in a hospital." Her voice was quiet; she had been speaking to herself.
Lucian rolled his eyes at his sister as she came in. He told her that he had no idea which room Ash and Raevyn went to - she'd just have to wait til they were finished and he was taking them home.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn glanced at her. Seemed she'd forgotten - or didn't care - about his hearing. "Walk-in clinics don't carry the rabies shot." He told her simply. "We'd be re-directed here anyways, for the shot. I doubt the mutt had it, as we usually don't, but it's better to be safe than sorry." The tiger that should be....isn't....

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn chuckled. "I know. But suck it up. We're already here. Might as well live with it." He fell quiet as the curtains rustled, admitting the doctor. "Dog bite is it?" He asked, entering. With gentle hands, he began undoing the bandage Raevyn had done. "Let's take a look shall we?" He clicked his tongue, looking over the puncture wounds, deciding whether or not to stitch them. The tiger that should be....isn't....
