Kuro woke up slowly, and instrantly checked his mouth to see if what happened last night really happened. To his dissapointment, it did, his fangs were gone, leaving nothing but torn gum. "I swear i`ll kill that vampire" He looked around the room, "And he got my case too, figures." He removed his phone from his pocket, swiped away the blood left on it, and began dialing the number of the company that makes his case.

After giving them the address of an abandoned house he used for deliveries, he got up and began walking toward the statue of liberty. His legs were still weak from being attacked but he couldn`t stay still at such an influencial period in New York.

Eden walked into the infirmary, straining her physical limits to just keep herself standing and holding onto her love. He was cradled in her arms close to her heart where he would not be prone to being dropped or harmed. Once she reached a bed, she gently set him down on the bed and knowing that her love was safe and that she'd done a job well done, she allowed herself to rest right then and there. The darkness seeped into her vision just a moment after it'd blurred and within the infirmary a huge smack against the floor was heard. Edith, however, though, was unable to move herself from the spot. She'd spent herself and now she was out cold just like Tokeru was and was probably going to be that way for a while. She said she'd be right at his side when he woke up anyhow and there she was on the floor right beside his bed. Perhaps she hadn't exactly planned it to be that way since he'd have to look over the side of the bed before he could see her but it was as close as she was going to get apparently. The last thing she heard was Gail's worried voice and the last thing she saw was her Angel sleeping peacefully, safe back home.

With the assistance of Eliot, Gail had managed to prop Edith up onto the bed next to Tokeru's in case one of them woke up and wanted the other nearby. Though she was a vampire now, Meredith still possessed her muscle mass from when she'd been a human and she weighed a lot. She was a strong and healthy girl so her weight was good since it was muscle and not plumpness. While both of them had been asleep near eachother, both seemed to be recovering better than they did while they were apart. Perhaps their subconscious knew that the other was there and it helped relax them and allow them to heal faster. Edith there wasn't really anything more Gail could do for her, she'd just beaten herself up and had used her last ounce of energy and strength. Tokeru, she helped him by getting some nutrients into the crazy kid since he'd been trying to starve himself. She also hydrated him and made sure that any injuries were taken care of and swabbed. She had Eliot make periodic checks on them both in case one of them woke up.
When Meredith awoke the first thing she noticed was that she was on a very uncomfortable bed and turned onto her back, which meant that she was in the infirmary. To confirm her assumption, she opened her eyes to see a pure white ceiling staring back at her to greet her. The white somewhat hurt her dilated eyes and she turned away, off to her right. When she did that she caught sight of her love still sleeping and couldn't help but smile at how peaceful he seemed. All his wounds were tended to and she knew that Gail wouldn't allow him to be hungry so she knew that he was fed. Slowly, Eden rose from her own bed, swinging her legs over the side of the bed, once again in a hospital gown, which made her sigh. Yup she was definitely in the infirmary since only Gail forced her to wear these stupid things that showed off your a** to the world. However, she didn't care right now, she just wanted to be with her Angel. She crossed the short distance there was to lie upon her Angle's bed beside him. All the while she gently stroked his hair and watched his boyish form as he slept, breathing in and out.

Tokeru stirred slightly at her touch, but didn't wake up. He was exhausted from running for four days, and needed to catch up on sleep, or be slapped awake, either way would let him handle it. But right now, he was just in a dreamless world, resting.

Eden smiled as she looked down and watched over her Angel while he slept. If he was sleeping and getting rest, recovering from what he'd done to himself then she wasn't going to disturb him. He needed to rest to get better even though he didn't seem like he was really hurt, there were just a lot of bruises. She hoped that they were not self-inflicted but from what she'd heard from others, it was very probable that he'd caused his own injuries. 'You know that I'll always love you, Angel. No matter what you've become, no matter who you think you are. You're my Angel, you'll never be anything other than that. Remember that, love. You're not allowed to leave me, no matter what happens to you. If you leave me and try to get rid of yourself then what do you think I'll do? I'll follow you of course, no matter where you go. No matter what, I'll always be at your side, whether or not you think it's safe for me or not. I'm a lot less safe with you gone because my sanity's at high risk of being destroyed.' With that, she gave him a small kiss and took hold of his arm that was dangling over the edge of the bed.

James came walking in with two get well cards, and flowers for the both Edith and Tokeru. He saw their hand were held together, and guess he always came in on them when to need their time. So he put the card and flowers beside both of them, and sat out on one of the chair a few rooms down.

Amnity stepped into the infirmary, waiting patiently for doctor Gail. She was surprised that she had come right away and asked how Tokeru was doing. The doctor replied by saying that he was still recovering. She brought Amnity to a check up room, making her change into a hospital robe before letting her sit down on a stretcher. "I want you to breathe in and then out alright? Like how you normally breathe. Just relax."Gail instructed, holding the stethoscope to the hunter's heart as she breathed. Listening very carefully, her eyes widened in shock for a second before taking the stethoscope out of her ear. Amnity noticed this and asked quickly. "What is it Doctor?"
Dr. Gail explained that she had contracted heart arrhythmia, which is basically an irregular heart beat. "...So? It's treatable right? I should be fine." "I suppose, in your case it requires no treatment...But Amnity you must start living a bit healthier. Don't go on dangerous missions when you think your heart isn't healthy that day or if you had a sudden increase of heartbeat before it. If you don't...I'm afraid you can no longer be a-" Amnity raised her hand in front of her face, not wanting to hear any more of this. "I promise I'll take better care...But just promise me Gail...Don't tell anyone. Not Jacob, not Kuro..." And not Mephlius... Changing back into her normal clothes, she quickly headed out the door, hoping that Jacob wasn't awake or that Mephlius wasn't home yet.

Tokeru stirred, his eyes opening to the bright light. He lurched upwards and tore himself free of Edith.
Where am I? What the hell am I doing here?
He looked to the side and saw a strangely beautiful woman lying beside him. Something familiar tugged at him.
Gail came into the room, and Tokeru took a few steps back. "Who the hell are you? Why am I here?"

Tokeru's abrupt tearing away from Meredith took her by surprise but she was not concerned as of yet. She just thought that he was maybe confused as to where he was and what was happening and that he'd be fine and calm once everything was explained to him. However, when he looked at her and no recognition seemed to be on his countenance or within his eyes, she grew concerned about her Angel. Was something wrong with him or was she just being extremely paranoid? Had she misinterrpreted or was she reading him correctly? All this could easily be answered by reading his mind though she preferred to not barge into his thoughts every time she was a little off-put by something. Edith was about to get up off the bed to give him a hug as well as a kiss when Gail came in the room and her love began backing away from her as well as Gail. She didn't understand what was the matter with him. Had he forgotten her and everything that they'd been through? How could he? She knew that his mind was broken but not to the point that he didn't remember her or anyone else that was here.
"Angel?" Edith gently called to him, rising from the bed and about to touch his shoulder in a comforting manner until he asked his question. She froze in her tracks, absolutely dumbfounded by the question that he'd just asked her as if it was impossible for him to forget. How could he forget her? Had she not made a big enough impact, did he not love her enough? Right now Edith was in denial and refused to believe that her Angel had forgotten her along with everyone and everything else. She began laughing, somewhat hysterically and slapped her knees. She just kept laughing for a very long few moments as everyone in the infirmary turned to stare at her hysterical form. She was beginning to shake and quiver as though something was wrong, perhaps she was sick or convulsing for some reason. She then looked to Tokeru with an uncertain smile on her face. "Ah," she said as she slapped his shoulder, "that was a funny one, Angel." Suddenly taking her hand off his shoulder and becoming dead serious she said to him, "Please don't do this, Angel. It really actually isn't funny. I'm scared, just quit with the pranks."

Tokeru looked at her for awhile, confused. These people knew who he was? Why was she calling him "Angel"? Who were they?
He retreated to a corner and kept looking at Edith. He was confused, why did she have fangs? Then it all came rushing back, and he slumped to his knees.

Edith, suffice to say was very concerned about her Angel since he seemed to be failing to remember her or anyone else. She listened in on his thoughts and heard him wondering how she knew who he was and why she was calling him Angel. His thoughts managed to take a blow at Edith's non-beating heart and though the organ no longer pumped blood, the figurative part of her heart had taken a severe beating from those words. The words continued to beat the crap out of her heart with their simple verbal and mental assault, completely shrouding her in darkness. Her face fell and her hair fell across her eyes so that they were virtually covered by all of her cascading lockes. The single tear that fell turned into the thing that was her raw motivation to help him remember. She'd been just about to storm into the corner when she saw Tokeru's expression and saw him slump to the ground. "Angel? Angel are you alright?!" She rushed over to him, not bothering to even think about anything else. Against her better judgement she hugged him close and rocked him back and forth in her arms."You're fine love. You're safe when you're here with me. Nothing's going to happen to you, nothing. Trust me"

Tokeru had remembered everything, the tortures, the death of his parents, the slaughter of countless thousands, and his love.
All the memories flooded back again, and he yelled out in pain.

Seeing her love like this killed Meredith and she had no idea how she could console him. Was she really able to make his life good enough to overcome all the pain that he'd been through? She doubted it but that wouldn't stop her from trying, from trying to show him that he didn't have to live with those memories forever and that there was some good in life and people. '<********, what do I do, what do I do, WHAT DO I DO?! Do something you dipshit, he's in pain!' All she could do was hold onto him and rock him back and forth. She was behind him, hugging him just under his ribs and rocking him back and forth. "Shhh," she said calmly, soothingly, "it's alright, love. I'm here for you, I know it hurts but remember I'm here. Your life's different now, you proposed to me, you're the leader of the Shadow Stalkers, you're a different man. I love you, Angel. Hang in there." She then fell silent, simply holding onto him and rocking him back and forth as though he were a small child and she were his mother comforting him.
