designergrl oh, it's more red than brown. Doncha hate when that happens? The box showed a truly golden deep brown. I tried one of those highlighting kits once, too. I put too many streaks in and pretty much turned my hair blonde. Which, trust me, does not look good with my complexion. It had kind of an orange tint too. I think my natural undertone leans toward red, so that's why colors seem to "bend" on me. But it's not as bad as the time it went pink. Like marshmallow peeps pink. Truly tragic. Ouch. That's why I try to mostly stick to having it professionally done now. Although I can only afford that twice a year or so. In between, once it starts fading, I use an at home that's close to my natural color. It doesn't look as nice as professional but is a lot less likely to end in disaster. xd
