Chris, Chris, Chris. Client Lad, listen to me. I respect my opponents in the courtroom. I really do. Without defendants, this entire delicate balance of JUSTICE would tip.
But once those papers are served to a judge, it is the JUDGE'S responsibility to determine guilt. We are only holo-vid puppets who must present the facts as we interpret them. And we MUST stay strong on the course. WE MUST PLY FORWARD FOR JUSTICE!

And just what sort of resources are we talking about, anyways? Shields aren't allowed during the opening kickboxing volley of a trial.

Tenzil Kem And just what sort of resources are we talking about, anyways? Shields aren't allowed during the opening kickboxing volley of a trial. Money, surveillance equipment and teams for gathering evidence, and plenty of snacks.

We can't change it? But...
*sighs*
SHIELD is a counterterrorism and intelligence agency. Stark said I would have to register and go back to actual hero work if I wanted access to their sources. I have no wish to work for SHIELD or the government.

And, are the snacks on the somewhat more mineral-y side? domokun

I have a nice basket of gypsum waiting for you should Mr. Powell choose to register and retain your services.

We will take your offer under advisement.
Have the defendants retained a lawyer yet? On Bismoll, if one does not have a lawyer, a well-trained monkey is allowed to stand in. domokun
