Suisheu's muleness Eyes like cold obsidian surveyed a roiling crimson sky as the Demon looked up, judging the distance between himself and its angry movements. It bellowed a warning that echoed as far as he could see, its rage reaching far beyond his vision to where land met sky and melded into one. From his vantage point it seemed almost as though the frothing red mass were eating away at the world, and unboubtedly it would've been so if fury had a mouth to feed itself and its bounty was the land it screamed over.
A surge of scourching energy announced itself with a thundeous crack and for a moment the man's face was illuminated in bloody hues. With an imperceptible twist of his lips he stared his challenge back, and the turmoil above him answered with an explosion that rocked the ground. He was very still. His feet barely slid, and when the shockwaves ceased he bent in one fluid motion and retrieved a small chip of dusty golden earth.
The Demon flipped it with his fingers. Black marks scarred its underside. Now he deigned not only to raise that lightless gaze to the sky but his entire head moved as he tracked jagged lines of energy snapping from the heart of the aggrivated mass. Again his stoic features were thrown in high relief as a sizzling bolt struck the ground several feet away from his chosen spot. A push of hot wind ruffled his hair and clothing. He bared gleaming teeth in answer and drew back his arm with its fingers clenched tightly around the rock. With almost lazy deliberance he sent the golden fragment spinning into the distance to land, as he noted with satisfaction, at the head of a set of rippling gates.
'That is where I am going. You don't like it, you just try and stop me.'
Flicking his fingers as if to rid them of clinging dirt, the Demon took a few advancing steps, keeping his eyes Heavenward and daring its churning threat to impede his progress. It spat fire at a central plateau but came no nearer than that. His cliff was no longer the focus of its wrath.
"That's right." He sneered, voice scarcely more audible than a breath. "I always do what needs getting done in the end. I am Lord Primus... and nothing can stop me."
