So the next time you get to talking to him, tell him that what he's doing is only inviting more calls to come in. A simple "I'm not interested" actually reduces the calls in the long run. When you move your name to the company's DNC list, the chance of that number leaking into circulation only increases. And if it's a company your father has nothing to do with then doing that only makes his number more permanent in their records instead of slowly fading into obscurity.
And another thing: You really should try and figure out who's calling you before you hang up on them like that. For all you know, it's your bank telling you about something happening on accounts you already have with them.

Today sucks. I was out and I nearly passed out.
