Satoshi shuddered nodding her head "Yeah I remember that, such a power doesn't seem... human and although I will never say it to other members of the group, it troubles me how we are going to handle him next time we encounter eachother. But on a lighter note it also told me not to piss off the elven community, if that was just one city then I would hate to think of what Felina's dad could manage if he gathered up the elven army from all over the world" she laughed.
Felina sighed wondering whether it would be rude or not to ask for seconds "I don't think he will be a swordmaster anytime soon either but a little basic self defence skills with a blade might be a big help to him if he ever has problems with low mana. It happens even to the best of mages sometimes"
"Your forgetting that he's learning to fly an airship too. Need to be careful or else he's going to burn out from too much study and dventuring and sword training etc." Hayate pondered thinking Zadina was already more active than most ages of his age.

Gil scratched his chin squeezing Satoshi's hand slightly "Hey if you are worried you can always join me as a mercenary and we won't need to bother with Alex again" he said cuddling her gently "Relax a little don't need to think about such things on holiday" he said entering the shop leading Satoshi in.
Oassu smirked "Well sure we'll see how he does he's certainly an academic child though wouldn't they have tried to give him some weapons training when he lived here? Like Corella and yourself?" he asked wondering what training Zadina would have received.
Zadina giggled kneeling down to pet Merric as he took the coin "Thanks a bunch little Merric it's a really good one" he said pocketing the coin "He's certainly adorable and will become a good treasure hunting chocobo at this rate" he said binning the litter when Merric wasn't looking as they continued walking "And that's not what I meant older dragons have magic and I hear some have ice breath which would be very bad for Captain Alpha" he said looking around for a new attraction.
Jeckhart shakily wobbled out of the happy crowd leaving the ride "Well it certainly was interesting, I normally don't get the opportunity to fly that fast, indeed that's more like just falling out of the sky" he said leaning on a post for stability.

Hebal giggled shaking her head "Not really like falling out the sky, more sitting on in a crazy out of control/stunt performing airship. Not sure my tummy agreed with it yet but still it was rather fun don't you think? Will try a different ride next though" she decided having regained her balence.
Amane scratched her ear uncertain "Thats pretty cool but all the same doesn't fire melt ice making it not very effective? Also what is that weird house thing?" she asked failing to realise that she was pointing to the haunted house "A little house like that seems a bit out of place"

Satoshi smiled mroe than happy to accept Gil's affection "It's not something I worry about lods but leaving would just be an easy way out, no offence. Anyway lets first look for a good colour but not the ones advertised at the front for the dragon festival costumes as those are a rip off" she whispered giving the half asleep shopkeeper a nod as she passed. "So what colour dragon would you like to be?"
Hayate shook his head "Zadina was given magic training rather than weapons training. There are extremely few people in the world who can master both magic and combat even with long lifespans like the elves. They tried to shove me into magic training because they thought at one point I might have had sage potential too but magic wasn't something I enjoyed so scrapped that and went all out with my bow despite everyone trying to convince me an archer with one I was useless"
Felina scratcher her head trying to recall if Zadina ever had combat training "Yeah that was more his brother who used weapons and the bow, I'm not that great with but I can hit things with it. Most of my training went on white magic and then studying all the different animal, pleople and plant biology that sort of was a useful add on"

Gil nodded "Well if you say so, you may not have so much freedom being a ninja but the mercenary lifestyle is literally about choosing your battles no point in you charging in against Alex without a plan to win so don't plan on it just yet" he said looking over the materials idly "A silver one would be quite nice but whatever on you think is best is fine by me" he said frowning as the half-asleep shopkeeper spoke angrily in his language while pointing at Enkidu as he entered behind Gil.
Oassu shrugged "You do fine with your talents even if your magic isn't excellent though I'm sure you as a royal had loads of extra things you'd have to learn about the kingdom and stuff" he said petting Cid who hopped over for some attention.
Jeckhart nodded "sure it was pretty fun I suppose but if your tummy isn't doing well I could always fix you up a little" he offered "My powers may be next to nothing but I can still use some basic white magic to settle a poor stomach." he said.
Zadina nodded "Yes that's true but Ice melts into water so even if it did he'd still be in trouble" he said frowning at the house "It reminds me of my aunt's old house, it was kind of run down looking like that one" he said a little unnerved by it "I can't quite read the sign either since it's written in Bangaanese" he said no idea what it.

Amane blinked not understanding a word of the writing either "Well then theres only one way to find out and thats to explore. Maybe it's a funhouse though your aunt had funny taste in houses if it looked a bit like that one. It's nothing like what you would find in my forest" she added hopping along in front encouraging Merric to chase after her.
Hebal smiled letting out a small yawn "Oh no need to do that my tummy is fine and it's had to deal with much worse than a little whirly cart ride like that. It's just lots of spinning around tht makes it a little ill. Besides, I know a little spell of my own which I learned a little while back from some giant bird fiend thing I stumbled across on my travels called white wind. Maybe you know it being a bird demon and all"

Satoshi shrugged wading her way through the rolls of red and green fabrics through the front shelves "None of us are that foolish, even the most cocky of members of our group. Though witb being a ninja its about choosing your job and choosing your loyalties and sticking to the latter. But if it's a silver dragon you want, it's a silver dragon you can have but I'm going to be a gold dragon I think"
Felina shook her head "I got taught proper manners and how to dance and behave appropriately in public but other than that all the extra lessons and responsibilities went to Elithana. She had to train harder in combat and learn advanced economics and politics then was sent on all sorts of ledership classes. Hard to believe she once a shy little thing" she laughed.
Hayate raised his eyebrow surprised "She was? Well she developed a backbone by the time I first met her or maybe that was the whole early teen stage kicking in with her so I'll just have to take your word for it on that one" he snickered.
Adohand nodded "Yeah she's always been a little on the bossy side but then so am I when it comes to work so I can't judge. Even if she's not going to rule because of a new brother I'm sure all the extra lessons and training will allow her to go far"

Gil nodded instructing Enkidu to sit outside "Well sure if you don't want to share one though I'm not quite sure what kinda dragon I'm expecting you to make" he said looking over a variety of the materials checking the textures on some of them with a smirk.
Oassu smirked "Yeah she's always seemed kinda assertive and sure of herself to me can't imagine her ever really being shy" he said checking the clock on the wall but being unable to read it because it was in elvish runes "She'd certainly make a good leader if she had to" he said.
Zadina nodded "Well she had several houses, didn't use the old one" he said "Though we should be careful about exploring shouldn't just run into everywhere if it's totally dangerous" he said giggling as Merric kwehed as he chased after Amane.
Jeckhart nodded "Yes we know about that spell one of our basic demon powers" he said happily "Unfortunately I doubt i could do it without my powers though I am curious how do blue mages like yourself learn our techniques like that?" he asked.

Hebal shrugged "I dunno, you just learn it by observtion and experience which is why theres so few blue mages out there. It sort of just clicks into your head like that, maybe in the same way a mime picks up on something. But that bird fiend thing was domesticated which is why it didn't try to peck my fur out instead of using that spell. If you know any more spells and skills of use to me like that do feel free to share" she laughed skipping through the stalls.
Amane frowned "What do you mean it's dangerous? It's a funfair isn't it? That means the place is meant to be fun and not scary and dangerous" she explained stopping and allowing Merric to catch up a but before speeding off again "Maybe your aunt should only keep the houses that she can be bothered to maintain and sell the others for a small fortune if she allows all the houses to look this old and funny looking"

Satoshi paused following Gil's gaze to one particular fabric "Oh you wouldn't want something made out of that material. It's fine at first but then it starts to rub and its not pleasent, and that other one is too heavy for summer" she warned picking up and showing him a more appropriate fabric of the same colour "You know what dragons look like don't you? The eastern ones that don't often have wings? If not I'll find you a picture sometime soon"
Felina gave a nod helping Adohand collect up all the empty bowls "Oh yeah no doubt she'll poke her nose around in politics and will make sure her brother doesn't get in with the wrong sort of people trying to take advantage of his lack of political knowledge though personally I find it hard to trust any of them"
"Well she still has a unit all to herself in the army which counts as leadership. Then again so do I apparently once you two settle down or at least get enough of the family happy enough to be roaming about the place all by yourselves unsupervised" Hayate snickered knowing Alusaadi would hate the thought.

Gil nodded "I've fought dragons before but never seen an eastern one before, heard descriptions of them from other mercenaries though not one can remember fighting one" he said ignoring the material "Well you just pick whatever material you are using for your dragon you've got a far better idea of what works than me" he chuckled.
Oassu smirked "Hey it's pretty cool knowing I'll get my own military unit, do they only have to answer to us? No one else?" he asked curiously thinking about the possibilities "I'll need to work hard to get that right then" he chuckled.
Zadina scratched his chin "Well I don't know about scary but it was all crooked and some of the floorboards were rotting I believe, I think my uncle had once planned to fix up the house but never got around to it which is why my Aunt still has the house" he said gasping as Merric lurched forward in a renewed effort to catch Amane "Well we should get in line in if you want to go inside though I'm not sure what it is" he said
Jeckhart blushed rubbing his arm somewhat ashamed "Well I can't really show you anything like this" he mumbled "Though it does sound similar to the gift of mimicry if you put it that way" he said.

Hebal nodded curious as to why Jeckhart was turning red "You sure you're feeling ok after the ride? But it's exactly like mimicry only with a few differences. We are more limited in what we learn, what we learn stays with us. Mimes however can copy a lot more actions and stuff but they are more limited in what they can permanently retain in their memory. Like they can mimic anything once but theres only so much at a time mimed that they can remember. I think its like 5 skills at most a mime can learn permanently at once without having to imitate it more than once or learn it the normal way anyone else would if you get what I mean" she proudly explained unsure how good her description was.
Amane snickered slowing down after seeing Merric's efforts "Hehe he likes to run I think I forgot to mention. Even if he's never going to be a racing chocobo thats still a good quality to have. But when you say your aunt do you mean like Felina's mum or is it your aunt on the other side of the family?"

Satoshi laughed not surprised "Well that is because legendary creatures rumoured to be on the edge of extinction don't just pop their heads around and say hi to any old person waving a sword around. They are meant to be clever enough to speak in the legends and are very selective of their company" she concluded picking out a metalic gold fabric for herself.
Hayate laughed shaking his head "Oh no your not getting any military unit. Myself and Elithana only have one because we have actuallt been in the army. You'll just get a handful of guards and bodyguards though they will be mostly focused around Felina unless she gives you a few of them"
"Even if you have your own military unit their is still a higher authority. The kings orders are prioritized over anyones no matter what your job is in the kingdom. And after the king theres the generals orders that the commander has to follow. Basically if you were given conflicting orders then you go by what the higher ranked soldier or general says" Felina quietly explained privately thinking that Oassu might have a bit too much fun if he was given too many guards and servants to boss around. "you wouldn't want to be a soldier anyway I bet Oassu"
Adohand meanwhile tutted looking down at Tuilinn who had dived into what was left of someones bowl of melted ice cream "Well I hoped you enjoyed your meal and if not, at least this one at least liked the smell of the food. Can I get you anything else?"

Gil chuckled "Guess that's fair enough still would be impressive to meet one sometime" he said taking Satoshi's hand as he looked over her choice of materials "Still isn't the great dragon of the dragon festival supposed to be a western dragon? Or is it just culturally varied?" he asked
Oassu sighed "Seems the greatest inequality between us is going to be once we're married" he grumbled "Still no thanks I've had enough and it was delicious thank you Adohand" he snickered watching Tuilinn roll around in the ice cream "He's going to be horribly sticky later" he said
Jeckhart nodded "Well they certainly are blessed I suppose" he said looking over at the other attractions spying one where individuals in small shoe-like things rammed into each other "Hmm wonder what that is?" he said wondering over to it.
Zadina nodded falling into queue behind a large Bangaa boy "No no I mean my mother's side of the family, she's a really old elf but he's a nice little chicobo having energy is a good thing to me" he said picking up Merric for a cuddle.

Hebal stopped bouncing for a moment following Jeckhart's head to the attraction "Well thats a confusing looking game. It would appear that you have to go around in those cart things and ram eachother. Sure could be fun if little violent. Never had to drive anything like that before" she added then bounced away towards them deciding it was worth her attention for a while.
Amane muttered a smaall 'aww' as she petted Merric who was more than happy to receive that extra bit of attention "Well I know you elves get really old cause you like like six or seven times longer then viera do. And all little things have lots of energy. Must be great being able to have so much energy for centuries"
