"Do? I didn't do anything I just found her sitting on the side of the street from a town not far from here, her name is Katie." Lowering the girl to his side taking her hand into his he looked down at her as he frowned "she is also an orfan."

She gripped his hand and quickly went to his back. Only to peer from around him, her emerald eyes gazing at her widely. Katie looked down and saw as one of he hounds grazed her hand, gripping it lightly with his mouth tugging it. She loosened her hand fromn his, trusting the animal as well, seeing that he wanted her away for now. She followed it outside and waited a few yards from the entrance, She sat down and the animal nuzzled her hands with there nose's.

"I just couldn't leave her stranded there." frowning as he stared back at Sakura he began to lower his head he raised his hands to hers as he rubbed his thumbs on the top of her hands. "and I applogize for not telling you where I was going."

After about an hour scrounging around the lake shore for beached fish, Elfir thought it might be time to call it a day and take his chances with incarciration and return to the tavern for some table scraps, when a faint glimmer in the sand caught his eye. He limped over to, stooped down, and started to dig in the sand, guessing it would probably just be some dumb shell or something. Instead, he found an increadibly thick ring, made out of some dark gray metal, with a square shaped maroon stone in the centre. Elfir picked it up; for something so small, it was surpirsingly heavy; it must have weighed at least a pound! Using its weight to his advantage, he slipped his fingertip in it, then held his hand straight up, causing the ring to slide down his finger. It fit, but it was surprisingly tight. Gleeful at what he had discovered, he began to head back to the Black Tear, when he noticed a splashing in one of the shallow parts of the beachead. Curious, he went over to investigate and discovered an enormous bass flopping around, trapped in the shallow pool by its own size. In a mad rush of hunger, Elfir lunged for the fish, but it kept flopping around.

Suddenly, as he began to reach for the fish once more, Elfir felt a warm chill around his finger; looking down, he found that the ring was surrounded by a light red aura, leading off of his hand; he follow it with his eyes to discover it was coming from the fish, whose thrashing was steadily growing weak; it also appeared to be... wilting? In spite of himself, Elfir kept his hand where it was, and the fish slowly stopped moving, growing thinner by the second until it shriveled up into nothing more than skin and bones. He jerked away from it and fell to the ground; he stopped and supported himself with his arm. The broken one. It seemed oddly to have more life in it now; perhaps. It suddenly dawned on him what had happened; the ring... it could feed off other's life essence and bring it to him! He was appalled at this prospect and started to throw it into the lake... but then again... it had healed him.... And besides, he was stronger that to be taken over by a little ring, wasn't he? As long as he kept his victims small insignificant creatures, he was sure nothing bad could happen from it.

Elfir set off, back to the Tavern, still hungry; but for just what?

She walked outside where she saw Myuwe. She stood frozen in place. Her ears flattened as she remembered that the girl had grabbed them. She wraped her tails around her waist and took Kokou off her shoulder and put him in her sleeve. Feeling slightly safe she walked to her "Hello Myuwe. How are you today?" she asked hoping the girl wouldnt see the moving bulge in her sleeve as Kokou tried to get in a comfortable spot.

"Erm...call me Ooka...i would enjoy a hammock thank-you." she said smiling oddly. Is it just me or is something really ******** up about this kid?

Hey be nice Kokou. I told you not to curse, unless i am doing it too. She is just clueless.....or blond at heart......

Elfir had been returning to the workplace (or in his case, the sit-aroud-with-a-broke-leg-when-you're-not-goofing-off-place) when he saw Ooka and that other kid with the pink hair sitting with a hammock and made haste to hide among the trees. Remembering his "little treasue", he picked up a broken stick and hastily dug a narrow, long, hole in the ground, then dropped the ring down inside and placed the dirt back over it, then place a large rock on top of the pile to mark its place, all while hidden in the cover of tree; he couldn't let anyone find out, besides, he was just going to use it until he had consumed enough essence to restore his leg... at least, that was his intention. Ring discarded, he came out from the trees, trying not to look too suspicious as he headed back to the Tavern. "Lovely day, eh?" he said slightly cheerful to Ooka and pinkie as he came within their range of view.
