**He takes a hit in the upper torso, just below his shoulder, in a seam of his armor. The blast gets through.
His momentum carries him into Wally, knocking the gun from Wally's hand, and barreling them both to the ground. Wally is mumbling to himself, tears streaming down his eyes as fiercely as the blood runs down Walter's shoulder.**
"Wally, Wally, its me, its me! Wally! Dont leave me! You cant! Mom is gone, Raven is gone! Wally!"
**The shot, by some strange twist of fate, has hit the major artery in his arm. As quickly as he moved in life, his life itself is slipping away. He can see the same happening to Wally, like a sick synchronous ballet. He peers up in the distance, dust getting in his eyes, perhaps causing the tears now running down his cheeks. He sees a black figure running towards them at amazing speed, seeminly floating above the planets surface.**
"Wally, remember what Mercury told us, back in the Academy? "The Black Flash waits for us all at the end of the race." Look Wally. Its the end. We can see mom again, we can all be together again."
**The figure approaches as Wally's murmuring stops, and Walter falls to the ground. One last word escapes his lips...**
"R...ave...n......"

*The robot's kick sending away from his target he took all of the remaining energy he had left to generate two final blasts: one to push the Mystique as far away from the inevitable explosion as he could and the other to propell himself as close as he could to the ship*
Ne... never could have thought of a better way to go... Dad's gonna be pretty proud of me when I see him...
In a gigantic blast that looked from the planet's surface as if a new sun had risen, the hero vaporized the Allen and saved this unfamiliar world from invasion. He accomplished his life's quest, his name now shining next to his father's in many world's book of heroes.

As if it happened only yesterday.
I grew up a smalltown boy. Is that possible, in this day and age? I think it can...even if I was just a clone.
My mother and father, they couldn't have kids the natural way, so they went the unnatural way. Two test tube bouncing baby boys. They named us Wallace and Walter. Two Wallys.
We were close. God, we were so close. I'd say we were twins if we didn't have minor genetic differences...Walter had blue eyes. Like dad. Mine were greens-I took after mom.
Glassy eyes stare up at the clouds of dust that blow overhead, as Walter's body slumps over him. The wind blows a flap of skin loose from his head-torn from his skull during the crash?
Or maybe during that bump when he unbuckled himself.
I was the jokester, I was the lighthearted one. Walter, he was as serious as stone. But together we decided to become pilots. We wanted to race shooting stars and leave them laughing in our dust...
Dust circles the two as the lifeblood flows out of Walter...turning Wally's bright yellow jumpsuit a dark shade of scarlet.
Mercury taught us everything he knew, and we learned even more. We were the greatest. The top hotshots in our class. We couldn't do any wrong. Walter had his Raven, and I had my Linda. And then..
....and then...

Wally shudders, spazming on the ground, knocking Walter's body off of him as his eyes roll back into his head.
There was an invasion-they were taking people....harvesting them....
....My God, they took me. They took me and....changed me...
As the wind kicks up again, the flap of skin on Wally's head detatches and blows away, leaving only the shiny glint of metal.
The perfect machine.
Why couldn't I fight it....why couldn't I be...
I can see it, Walter...There's a black figure, and a golden light...

Suddenly, Wally's spazms stop. He sits up stiffly, almost...robotically...and in one fluid motion turns his head to look at his prey. With glowing red eyes, he surveys Walter's body.
::Threat has been eliminated. Sending distress signal for pickup. This unit is need of repairs.::
Wally West stands up, and walks back over to his ship. Glowing lights blink on and off in random patterns where his hair used to cover the metallic grafts on his skull. He stares blankly into the dust storm as he awaits the pickup coming from his masters.
Their planet is safe from invasion.
The money they paid to get the perfect soldier to protect it has paid off in spades.

*Raven screams in rage as her mothership goes down in flames.* Those terrors, those mechanical terrors. They... they can't do this to me. To us. To our people. *Raven shakes in fury as The Mystique floats aimlessly away from the conflagration that was the Allen, she knows what she has to do.* I have to kill them, kill every last one. *Raven begins a quiet laugh, starting deep within her throat and bubbling to the surface in a chilling display of malice.* She activates the thrusters in the feet of the Mystique and roars towards the planet's atmosphere, intent on revenge.*

The Garrickian sun, a red giant known as Taarna - 11 out of 23 similar stars in the system has finally reached the end of it's life. The gaseous core can burn no more. The radiation within, deprived of its self contained food source is forced outwards.
The explosion is violent and instantaneous. The fiery remnants of Taarna -11 are sent streaming outwards, consuming all in their wake, including Garrick.
