*Kage resumes training wind magic moves, sending sharp discs of air from his katana out in various directions, cutting paths along the meadow ground. He pauses once Hiro makes his decision*

Fire? Are you sure?

Very well, Hiro. You would attempt to follow a destructive path. Fire is the very essence of consumption and power. One must tread carefully in its ways or be burnt out in trying to harness it. *Kage walks Hiro over to a cavern within the mountain range surrounding the dojo. An altar stands at the edge and a small gem hovers above it, seemingly alive with a small flame. Kage takes hold of it and is unharmed. He slowly hands it to Hiro*

The gem of flame. One of the many different gems I hold here, that can push a human beyond any known limits. This will aid you in your qualifier test.

*Kage simply smirks and walks Hiro over to one of many open spaces in the meadow, yet another spot seemingly designed for some sort of fight or challenge. Kage clasps his hands together and begins chanting softly. A hole appears in the very air itself, and a tall, dark, ominous humanoid being steps through. It stands at a very above average height, jet black skin covered in tight muscle. It's face was much like a wolf, with sharp fangs and a rough muzzle. Kage nods to Hiro and points to the being*

This is a fire demon known as Anubis. He will now determine if you are worthy of learning the ways of fire. The gem is keeping you from being burned alive the moment you looked at him. As a Hunter I, of course, am unfazed by his powers. This is however, more about you...so I suggest you rely on your strength from within to save you...

Anubis STRONG: *The demon known as Anubis snarls and crouches low, suddenly lunging for Hiro with its massive right claw extended and aimed to swipe at his chest, a trail of fire seems to chase its forearm*

*Hiro dodges incorrectly and ends up stepping into the attack. Anubis leaves a deep burning gash along Hiro's chest* Hiro takes 5 damage for the strong and 2 for the failed counter.

Hiro:18HP

Anubis Strong: *The demon turns slightly, and slings its left fist in an uppercut fashion towards Hiro's face, trying to follow up after a successful first strike*

*Hiro is caught off guard again and knocked up into the air by a hard left uppercut* Hiro takes 5 damage.

Hiro: 13

Anubis Strong: *Anubis suddenly reveals a large lizard-like protruding tail, with a flame resting on its tip. The demon spins its body around, bringing the tail around like a whip, attempting to lash at Hiro in mid-air*

Hiro 8+12A=20
Anubis:11+10S=21
Round 3

*Hiro twists and manages to avoid the tail attack, but Anubis swings it around again, this time wrapping its tail around Hiro and slamming him to the ground* Hiro takes 5 damage.

Hiro:8HP

Anubis Strong: *Anubis keeps his tail wrapped around Hiro and tries to lift him again and toss him into a nearby tree*

hiro:19+12A=31
Anubis:19+10S=29
Round 4

*Hiro holds on for dear life trying to pull himself free while Anubis struggles to lift him. In the end, Hiro wins out and he rolls away to safety, finally able to chance an offensive* Hiro goes next...
