*walks back over towards Bard and Cora as he calls her, wondering if she'll be any help at explaining things*
Cora . . . ye dinna need romance - te be in love with somebody, te have a child together. *looks a little sad saying this* 'Tis a seperate thing, though I daresay it doesna have te be.
I believe . . . I believe 'tis a matter of caring for somebody very deeply, in a way ye dinna care for anyone else. *flounders a bit, trying to find the right words* Wanting te be with them . . . te share their joy, te ease their sorrow . . . te face life together . . . *trails off, making a helpless gesture with her hands*
I'm sorry, I dinna know that I'm at all the person te be asking.

Yeah. I killed to be with you, Namida... but I guess that didn't work out too well, eh? ::She chuckled to herself softly.:: I ******** up, and now we're both going to be alone. It's ********' fantastic, don't you think?!

*Cross moves over to their table and plants his hands down**...its like this... say you meet a fellow..... a man like no other man ye've e'er met.... now this fellow sees you.... and he thinks "my word that womans the finest lady I've e're met" you spend the next few weeks makein' hit'or miss passes at eachother sometimes involving the fellow singing off key outside your window in the wee hours of the morn.. or givin you flowers that'll be dead inside a week.... but I digress.. eventually when you realize he's longin' for you like you're longin' for him and that he's not just crazy... you meet... share a walk.. share a drink... and drunkenly wakeup in bed next to him the followin mornin in nothin but yer skin and a hangover... *he pauses* you do know the mechanics of all that right? no? Well I'll explain...

:::Cora blinked at Cross....she pretended he didn't say anything...he was drunk:::
:::She looked at Maggie. Cora was confused about the meaning of the word 'romance':::
Well, of course one does not need care for whom they share maternal bonds with. It is simply a matter of genetic preference and the family history. Though...ne must go through a very rigorous interviewing process before deciding whom they will form progeny with! It is important to see that they are capable of raising a child properly before you can submit your reproductive cells to the clinics.

*startles slightly at Cross's interruption, her cheeks and ears blushing a fierce red at his explanation, quite mortified* Oh good heavens, really!
*and then just looks completely confused by Cora's talk of genetics and reproduction clinics*

*Bard clutches his forhead as if in pain* Thank you, Captain Cross.
Cora... I can't explain it to you. You feel it, and there's nothing else quite like it. It's as though that person completes you, and you him. Have you ever felt that?

:::Cora looked down again, thinking... feeling, complete with someone... She had never felt complete. She must never have felt what Bard was talking about:::
:::She looked back up at Bard with a frown and shook her head, no:::
I still...don't understand, why I feel this way.
