(( sorry about having to leave earlier, had to entertain guests ^ ^ )) *hearing the howls of highstride and Tumblethorn Fenris quickly makes his way over to the two distressed wolfs. Upon seeing him them begin yipping empathetically while staring up near the top of the tree. Looking up he sees a tiny form wrapped around the trunk near the top of the tree.* "oh man this might be a bit difficult" *muttering he begins the climb slowly up the tree, two thirds up the tree the branches can no longer support his massive weight even remotely and even the trunk begins to bend dangerously putting not only him but snow in imminent danger. still though there is a good thirty feet to go before hes even close to Snow's prone form. Sitting there claws digging deeply into the tree as he hugs the trunk a plan slowly forms in his mind. Slowly he manages to crawl up another ten feet before the trunk begins to crack ominously under his weight. Quickly swiping his claw in an arc he cuts off a half moon in the trunk above him, then manuevering around to the other side with an enormous push of effort he launches himself up into the air to where snow is passed out. still airborn he wraps one hand around snow and the other around the trunk causing it to snap and tear along the side he didnt cut. He cradles snow unconscious form in his body while he falls smashing into limb after limb beating his body with an ever increasing intensity while still holding onto the tree branch thats tearing along as he falls. Soon enough the tree limbs become too large for even him to break through or withstand so letting go of the limb he forms a protective barrier of his flesh around snow as the branches larger than most trees begin to beat him into a bloodly pulp. Bouncing to the ground he retains consciousness long enough to make sure he lands underneath Snow protecting her from the final fall. blankness grips his vision as he coughs up blood from his multiple internal injuries, as unconscious pulls him under he sees that snow is relatively unharmed except for some scratches. coughing up more blood he manages to smile.* "This is why wolves dont climb trees." *with that he lets go of consciousness and slips away in the darkness.*

*wakes up, looks around with bloodshot eyes and falls back asleep again in her den.*

((So sorry I have not been around! I promise to be around more really soon! I went to the NIN concert on Tues. and Weds. of this week and it's totally kicking my tail! I very much apologize, and hope that I'll see all of you more soon! Much love until then.))

*Snow whimpers and slowly wakes up. Her lips are chapped and dry, her throat feels like sandpaper. She senses other people around her and opens her eyes to see where she is. Everything is dim, and huge black spots obscure parts of her vision.*

*Snow smells blood and carefully looks around, trying to locate the source. Huge, shifting black spots make it incredibly difficult for her to see who is bleeding, but by twisting her aching head around at odd angles she manages to see Fenris.*

Fenris? Wha--what happened? *Snow whispers hoarsely*

"dont worry the blood is mine, you blacked out ontop of the tree so i went to save you, but i was too heavy to make it up to where you were so i had to break the trunk up as high as i could and catch you as you fell... unfortunatly my body had to break our fall through the rest of the tree's branches and then the ground. I think i had some broken ribs and internal bleeding but ive mostly healed up now. how do you feel? "

huh!? shades?..what are you talking about?

*still groggy he turns to snow and getsui (did i get your name right? ) * " ugh yeah you got them all i think. the only ones left are the ones that are staying close to their lord."

*Snow fidgets restlessly, trying to ignore the fear/anger/terror/hate buffeting the edges of her shields. Finally, she calls Tumblethorn over, drags herself onto the wolf's back and asks her to go to the nearest pond. Tumblethorn takes Snow outside into the humid air. Sprinkles of rain continue to fall occasionally. Tumblethorn dumps Snow in a small, clear pond--all that is left of the once large lake*
