After all the time she had to think it over, she finally made sure that all of her injuries were all taken care of. After she had observed all of the injuries that she had taken overall, and made sure that they were not too severe that she could fall apart, Cheryl was quickly greeted by someone of a different faction. It was a risk to go right at them, but he had no intention of hiding the fact that he had lost once and been forced to change his alliance...and that now he had been convinced that the Kingmaker Scenario was the way to go. That was hardly fair! But then, this wasn't just any battle...but a battle for the Will of humanity. He couldn't hold that one against her. Really, it was only right to break out any resources that you had in your arsenal when faced with such an overwhelming threat. Didn't make the Boss of the Vultures any less in danger at the attacks the combination of four enemies (including freakin' SHIVA) at the same time, but he was making the best of it by avoiding what he could and countering when he had the chance. And in pure combat experience, he had the edge on his opponent...a fact that came to light when at last he had managed to catch her foot with his own and throw her off-balance...his demons holding Shiva at bay just long enough to pin her down and knock her phone away from her hand.
"I thought you were married, but this is really forward of you, Kakyo..." she teased, but he didn't take the bait. Only smirked faintly.
"Sorry, but you're not my type. My type's waiting for me back in Oshu City...and she's counting on me not to lose right now."

Letting out a deep breath, he wiped away a trickle of blood from the corner of his lips and simply moved himself into the path of the kid and his demons, motioning for him to come forward and give him whatever he had right here, right now. It might have been an uneven match between them now...it might have been impossible. But Kakyo had been up against longer odds than this.

"I have the most loving, beautiful, understanding wife in the world...okay I said it, honey, you can stop poking me now, all right?"It was too much...he wasn't some superhuman like the wonder twins back in Oshu City, and he wasn't in control of demon allies the way that Hinako had called out Shiva in their battle. And Jungo was still fresh after his first fight...no, he couldn't match the chef in the second engagement, no matter how much he fought to the end of his ability. His arms blocked a couple of punches, but the blows were thunderous! Just what kind of devil was he?! He hit harder than the actual demons!
"s**t!" he coughed as Jungo took the wind out of him with another attack...and though he had returned fire well enough that the other kid was feeling the pain, that last one was the decider...he couldn't quite get himself up again, not without oxygen in his lungs, "All right...s**t. I can't..." He held up a hand, and Jungo knew that he had won. Kakyo couldn't stand up even though his mind was screaming at him to keep fighting...his body wouldn't answer. He had to melt down to his knee, catch his breath, and that alone was the sign that he had been beaten. ...But not in spirit.
"Sorry...but I can't join you. What kind of man would I be if I kept flip-flopping on my beliefs?" he coughed out after a few moments, stumbling to his feet, "I'm going back to Oshu City...if you want to have a rematch...that's...where I'll be."
...A failed attempt. He cursed under his breath, but knew that he had done all he could. At worst, he could report back to the others and tell them what to expect. The battle with Bishamonten was a difficult one, and the longer that it lasted on, the stronger Cheryl felt herself get. But, along with the strength she gained, the battle grew more intense. With Bishamonten finally defeated, Cheryl sighed in great relief. Her arm that wasn't burnt to an end was starting to wear down from all the battle. Taking no time to dispatch the demon, Cheryl was back to making sure that she was alright.
