Probably. I was just curious, you know?
So are you going to apply for the other Espada spot, or are you going to work up from the bottom? =o
And you should list names of people you'd like to see in this guild ^^

Uuu~? Hee-hee. Well, I'd like for Detpecca to be in this guild if she still goes by that name. Her identity often changes. :3
Uuuuu... Applying for an Espada spot seems tedious.
Too long; didn't read. X3 Though I certainly would not be averse to controlling an Espada, I do believe it would be easier to simply make the character that I intend to make.
Must my character start out with her powers already develop? I do not know my character too well, and I think that her powers should lie dormant until I discover what suits her the best. (She is a human.)
She would act and be as battle competent as a completely normal human of her age, so by Bleach standards, weak. Nonetheless, if you would grant me your permission, I would like to take that route of making her so. Perhaps she will even acquire a spiritual weapon later on, but for the moment being, act as a normal person admist spiritual powers and strength currently way out of her league

You sound a great deal like my ex-roommate in your comments about the espada application and general process, if I do say so.

Unyu?
I meant it in a flattering manner, as I hold that person in high regards. Most people are too stuffed full of themselves and believe that an espada position is something that they are automatically entitled to. Of course, said ex-roommate is also of the persuasion that numbers mean absolutely nothing and that a person's only as good as they actually fight.

Uuu~! heart
Numbers vs. physical prowess depends very much on the situation. As to an Espada position, personally, I do not see it as a high or low status. It is simply a role that happens to require more effort to obtain in some guilds.
If you were allowed to have the power of any species in Bleach, which would you want? ^_^

Unyu~!
I'm partially of her mindset as well. I believe that the best rp'ers should deserve those spots, and rank accordingly to "killing" prowess. Numbers do mean things to me, but again, numbers should be given out according to skill.
And as far as that goes, hollow/arrancar. *nodnod* I'm off-ish like that. :p

Uuu uuu....
It seems like whoever writes the best gore action, wins. Must it all be gore? Brawn against brawn, or variations of gruesome deaths? Be it that of element or weapon, it's stabbity-stabbity-stabbity or BOOM! -headshot-, I feel as though the purpose of the Espada is to provide the main action. That is a reason why I am a little reluctant to go to all the trouble of making an Espada. I like spelunking more than fighting.

Good inspiration for such lies with MadWorld, lol.
Despise the look of the game, but it works as well as any full color scheme, anyway.
Most people aren't suited to being espada, either. Too eager to jump forward and show their powers. It's part of the reason that makes being an actual espada so difficult.

Someone who actually knows how to fight, and has enough restraint to not constantly run around and releasing their powers at every fight. More difficult to do in an Rp situation than it is displayed in the manga. Release, and it's as good as done that that espada'll die there in that fight. In an rp situation, that's almost never the case, in fact, with the exception of my own experience, it never is the case.
EDIT: Movies and video games can help, but it still requires a working knowledge and understanding the concept of how weapons work. You could say your character knows three million different versions of hand-to-hand combat and can kill people with just a finger's use, but unless you actually know how that stuff works and is applied, it means absolutely nothing.

Mazele Release, and it's as good as done that that espada'll die there in that fight. Ha-ha-ha! I sense the 'protagonist immortality' contract in play there. That, or 'someone else more important will sweep it away' because no matter how powerful or well developed, Espada are pretty expendeble in the manga. Uuu~ Uuu-Uuu-UUU! Pardon me for preppy speaking, but you are so right! If someone does not have at least a basic grasp of what weapon they're having the character work with or the restrictions and limits of whatever power they wield, it can go into godmode or BS territory faster than the rate that Ichigo unlocks some new 'IT TAKES A MILLION YEARS TO MASTER THIS TECHNIQUE!' ability or whatever.

People like popular symbols, especially in terms of tools made into weapons. Speaking specifically on a scythe, it's arguably the "weapon" most associated with death, and they want to instill that fear into opponents. But from a first-hand practitioner of the scythe as a tool, its killing power is based on its edge area. Just like all other weapons. Because a scythe only has one edge, and it's much shorter than the actual shaft of the weapon, it becomes very difficult to actually use such a "weapon" and successfully attack with it. It's awkward, basically.
There's a reason the sword is most widely associated with war and of battle. Because that's all it was made for, and it has the single largest edge area of any weapon known to man. The spear is likewise made for war and battle, but with a significantly smaller edge area, it's good for thrusting attacks and its range. The cons outweigh the pros. It's all logic based.
And yes, Trollubo does favor the orange-haired moron a bit too much. I think I would have liked the story to have passed on from him after he lost his powers sort of thing. The manga even hinted at a possible new path or main character it could follow, but once again, we have been trolled, and it's mister overpowered, sexually unaware as the lead role.
At any rate, yes. They are quite expendable, though as Trollubo explained, he killed them off quickly so that they wouldn't develop a fanbase. I think he failed, because most of us who are fans of the espada were fanatics the moment he introduced them. =.=
