Um, youre kinda jumping into thigns too fast, before we have stuff fully figured out. We don't know for sure if there will be more than 10 rounds, b/c it will take forever. It took like 5 days just for some of the one on one fights in the tourney. Plus if he gets the summoning, I dont want every single one of your people to have one. sweatdrop

They each wont get a turn. And for bryas's character, his role in the crew is a prodigy that knows the vital weak spots of certain things. And as a side note, who would want to 10 men contests over and over? Besides sooner or later, they want more action than just ten people. Think shik. If you had to fight 10 people just for one simple prize and it continued over and over, dont you think you would get bored of that and would want a longer challenge? Sheesh if push came to shove, down the line there can be a teammate that joins you for a round or two. And I only said demo so its not like it is the real thing.

I know what im talking about. If i got the prize why would I want to try it all over again. Its not going to be EEXACTLY the same. Think Super. Why would you want to do a 100 gauntlet match over and over? It would get jsut as boring too. and if a teamte joined, then BOTH of them should deserve the prize, which wouldnt make sense since the summoning goes to only ONE person.

Did I say I would do that again? And the teammate doesnt get a prize. Their purpose is to help the person until the announcer says he is done helping. And for the record, I only said do it once to see how it plays out. And nothing can get boring in 100 man gauntlets. Its unpredictable.

Yeah, of course I have to worry. You still have to think things through like godmodders. A 100 man gauntlet would be just as unpredictable and can just as easily get boring as a 10 man guantlet. a 10 man is just faster. Of course a 100 man wouldnt seem boring, b/c all you would have to do is easily godmod through half of it then, make your opponents stronger. Besides its going to be another person RPing as the enemies through out the thing, do you really think a person wants to RP as 100 different things, while they would like to RP with their regular character. Yeah they would get bored, b/c switching between the their arena enemy RP's and their regular character would take even longer than the tourney does. If you have somebody who can RP well, then a 10 man guantlet would be just the same. I really dont see any difference. The person can easily RP stronger for a challenge.

That was my whole point in stipulations. Godmodders that like to do the same stuff over and over would make that boring. But if we change it around, then it will be different. And before they start, they can chose what to do. Which is why I want to give options for those eager that want to shoot for the top. Options shik, options. And if things get too intense for them, they can forfeit.

i wouldn't forfeit if i was on round 89 out of 100 though, that would suck. xd
PostPosted: Sat Aug 07, 2010 1:02 pm

Yeah and there will be people who will be on round 87 and still posting like this "Runs and slashes at the enemy. *enemy tries to attack with its razor talons* Dodges enemies blows and cuts of his head" Acting as if they took no damage after 86 rounds, and not even bothering to seem a tad bit realistic. Im not stupid. Yeah I know of options, and some people take those options for granted. Its not like they're going to be the same enemies every single time and its always going to be a new summon, so yeah things WILL be different. And im pretty sure if you were fighting in real life, you would get tired after fighting like 67 people. It would get boring just the same here.

These guys probably have experience, just they get it from the wrong stuff. Like orphen for example, he probably didnt know how to rp and we had to hammer it into his head not to godmod. These guys need proper training in rping otherwise we will keep having these situations. Back to the subject of the tourney; even though it may get boring at later rounds and it would start to become a lousy habit, I would keep my determination and confidence going. Thats probably the two things I need to keep me going. And if it comes to explanations, we can make it to where it will make logical sense to them along with us. For once in your life shik, trust me. I know what I am doing and try to roll with it.

((LMAO! i am having so much trouble controlling this weird mouse i got at a yardsale. rofl it feels so high-tech though.))

How bout this:
Why don't people choose what level of battles they want?
Say, you can choose from:
10 Rounds
20 Rounds
50 Rounds
or 100 Rounds
surprised
so we could have different prizes for each, the lowest level gets the lowest prizes while the higher levels get the better prizes?
does that sound good?

Thats reasonable. And we can still add twists to certain rounds right?
PostPosted: Sat Aug 07, 2010 3:26 pm

That would make it interesting. 3nodding So sure.

you mean like, say i signed up for 10 rounds and just as round 7 started, the announcer says I can't use my dragon?
or a mage could only use ice magic for the entire 7th round?
those kinds of twists? biggrin

You catch on pretty quick. Thats the idea that I am trying to say. Make certain twists in matches that will make battles different. So yeah you have the right idea.
