I shall take that as a compliment, thank you very much.
"Oh, heavens, I couldn't ask that of you."
The two she had already were more than she could have dreamed of.
The healing spell she planned to use them in was coming along nicely, she had almost figured it out completely.
She would rid him of those scars if it killed her.

I mean, really, who asks someone about their age? It's often considered rude.
"It's no problem, really," Zach knew to drop the matter, but wanted Emma to understand how much help the two had been. "A couple of feathers now and again are no big deal. Now blood, on the other hand, I might have to charge."
She laughed, hoping that Emma would too.

So is the possession of a body that isn't your own.
She giggled brightly in an attempt to disguise the ideas running through her head.
Phoenix feather-quills were powerful instruments for the writing of grimoires, and she could only imagine what would happen if she attached them to a a sword...

Hey, we had a deal here. Mutual agreement and everything.
"So be sure to talk to me if you need something," Zach said, noting that Emma's little fit of giggles sounded too enthusiastic for her usual self. If Zach had do guess she would say that Emma was running through her undoubtedly vast knowledge of phoenix applications. While Zach only knew a few thanks to the books Emma had let her read, she was sure that Emma knew several times that with just one feather.

Is that so?
Attach a feather to the prow of a ship and you would never sink, wear it around your neck and shapeshift and your form would never waver...but the healing properties were Emma's main focus.
"I shall. And the same goes for you. If you ever need a spell cast or an enemy...removed, you can contact me."

Yep. It's what symbiosis is, after all: Two beings helping each other survive.
"Sounds like a deal," Zach said with a smile.

Emma nodded in assent, the silver embroidery on her gown moving slightly, twisting and writhing like tiny serpents.
You have a point.

I usually do. People hate it when I'm right all the time.
Zach, still entirely unaware of the second conversation, ordered a glass of water from the bar and tried to remember how to shift forms.

Emma replied to Ivan with a mental sigh.
"And I'm afraid I must take my leave." A small violet flame danced above her fingers, the signal for her to return to the estates.
"I have no doubt I shall see you again soon." the enchantress said as she vanished from sight.

Zach nodded and wished Emma luck with her endeavors.
"See you eventually," she said with a wave before Emma disappeared.

Seven had been spending a lot of time in the tavern lately, drinking blood-wine from his personal stock and not really having a very enjoyable time. It was all because of this epidemic. Seven frowned sourly and stomped upstairs, taking refuge inside of Regal's room. The smell of the doctors fresh blood was so strong it almost stopped him dead in his tracks. "Well, that smells nice. Did you get a new plug-in?" He joked, flopping onto the chaise that comfortably lined the north wall. He took off his hat and gas mask and contemplated removing his gauntlets but instead relaxed comfortably into the cushions.

Spent my days with a woman unkind, Smoked my stuff and drank all my wine. Made up my mind to make a new start, Going to california with an aching in my heart.

Kaok sat awkwardly once again in the booth she frequented, her furry legs restricted by the tight fit of a dress. She assumed that humans wearing the garment wouldn't encounter the same problem, but maybe she wasn't the best person for it. In any case, she had little choice. It was the only dress she had managed to find that fit her criteria, and the only thing that didn't make her look... well, awkward. She still felt it though. Not only because of the dress. While she didn't look it, she was wearing heavy make-up. Lt. Jayim wasn't going to show up to the awards ceremony with her giant red tattoo obscuring her face. She really hated that thing.
"Irrational." The Faun mumbled as she pondered it.Someone told me theres a girl out there With love in her eyes and flowers in her hair. Took my chances on a big jet plane, Never let them tell you that theyre all the same.

A warm breeze drifted through the tavern as Emma waltzed in, humming under her breath.
She barely noticed the fact that the floorboards were doing some very odd things under her feet.
Trying to become trees again, for one.

She tried to get up to go greet her, but managed only to stumble a little bit and hit the floor. The Lieutenant rose - more than a little embarrassed - and stood where she was.
"Hello." The Faun smiled brightly.o r a g a r d e n g a t e o p e n i n g t o a w o r l d y o u n e v e r f o u n d .

"Hello!" Emma smiled back and finally noticed that the floorboards were sprouting.
"Oh dear, getting ahead of myself."
The warm breeze faded and the floorboards returned to normal.
Emma chose to overlook the Lieutenant's stumble, trying to spare her dignity.
